Voruna – The Wolven Queen
This idea came to me after watching a wolf documentary, along with an hour of playing as Voruna on Warframe, i binge read a My hero academia fic where Izuku was the wolf Fenrir, this idea came to me with aspects of the Umbra mission's theme hitting me with an idea.. an idea of What if Izuku was Voruna reborn, and with that, you have this, couldn't really remember the description of Voruna's wolves before being decapitated, but yeah, here they are, hope you enjoy the chapters to come.
For as long as Izumi could walk, Inko Midoriya noticed how her daughter would always try and get outside when the Moon was full. The odd acts having Inko taking Izumi to the doctors to find out why she started this behaviour.
The answer she gained was surprising.
"This seems to be the occurrence of a Quirk awakening, not uncommon but a surprise when least expected" staring at the doctor as Izumi sat in her lap, the little green Ette sat while holding an All Might figure she bought a year prior, Inko looked up to the doctor with a frown.
"What should we do if she tries to get out again, whenever it happens it's like she's in a trance. Not even acknowledging my voice or presence" getting a frown from the aged doctor, he spoke calmly.
"The only thing I can suggest is. Go with her" frowning at his words, Inko looked down to Izumi, the little girl toying with the figure before she started gnawing, showing her canines to have changed.
Sitting in the living room of their house, Inko stared at the News report to show the forecast, staring at the TV, her eyes slowly drifted to a photo frame of Inko and Izumi when she was mis-diagnosed as Quirkless… causing her husband to leave them both in disappointment.
Frowning at the cut out of her husbands face removed, Inko looked to the window to the night sky, her eyes narrowed suddenly at the full moon on display before her eyes widened in alarm.
The full moon wasn't for another five days!.
Moving to Izumi's room, Inko froze in place as the rooms door was opened slightly… with the back door hanging open.
Moving before her mind caught up, Inko was putting on shoes with a coat while grabbing her phone and torch from a dresser.
Throwing the back door open with widened eyes, Inko didn't hesitate.
"IZUMI!" rushing forward down a clearing, Inko looked down with the torch to see footprints, small footprints moving in a straight line.
Following them as best she could, Inko called out once more for her little girl.
"IZUMI!" running down the path, Inko pulled her phone to call Bakugo Mitsuki.
"Come on, Pick up, PICK UP!?" looking around for her daughter, the voice of Mitsuki answered tiredly.
"Inko, do you not know what time it is?"
"Mitsuki, Izumi's gone!" getting silence from the Phone, her best friend spoke with a voice speaking in the background.
"We're on our way, do you know where she could have gone?"
"No, this is the first time she got out, Mitsuki. I don't even know why her Quirk is doing this!?" moving to the right the sound of twigs snapping to her left made Inko flinch and shine her torch to said direction… leaving her frozen in alarming horror at the sight before her.
Standing crouched low in a bush, six red eyes stared at her from what could be a hybrid of a Wolf and… something not earth based, thin body built for light footwork.
Watching as the creature gave a low rumble, Inko noted it had a metal patch over it's front eyes, staring further the wolf thing turned around suddenly before vanishing from sight, leaving Inko mildly panicking, her instincts fighting over to run and look for her daughter.
Spinning around at the sound of a growl, Inko backed away from a larger creature with glowing fangs in it's mouth, it gave a bark like sound that made Inko freeze.
Watching the creature approach her frozen state, she watched it sniff the hand that held her phone with Mitsuki still on the line, it sniffed once more before it licked her hand, making her drop her phone as it made her rub it's head. Leaving Inko stunned in shock at the actions before the patched creature returned beside the larger creature, sitting in wait as her wit returned, Inko carefully leaned down to get her phone, she gave a small yelp as a warm, WET tongue rubbed over her face.
Blinking the saliva from her eyes before wiping it, she gave the creatures annoyed looks before two howls echoed down a path.
Making the two before her howl in return before moving to the source, leaving Inko in place before another howl echoed… a little girls howl.
Spinning towards the wolf like creatures, Inko rushed after them.
"IZUMI!?" moving to a clearing, Inko froze once more at the sight of her Izumi cuddling into two more of the wolf creatures. And seeing them so… docile, towards her. Inko approached carefully before she screamed as the eyepatch one appeared before her sitting down.
Startling Izumi and the wolves who moved to her defense.
Turning at the sight of her mother, izumi gasped in joy as she jumped to her feet to tackle her mother to the ground.
"MOM, MOM, MY QUIRK, THEY'RE MY QUIRK!" staring up to her daughters joy filled smile, Inko blinked as the wolven creatures moved they're snouts into her field of vision, acting like mere puppies with the eyepatch one whimpering towards her left shoulder.
"That ones named Dynar" turning to one that sported a Nose ring with three horns on it's Head, Izumi patted it's head with a smile.
"He's Lycath, the big guy is Ulfrun and the sister is Raksh with the bandages on her lower jaw. Mom… I can be a hero!" staring up to Izumi's whose smile was as pure as any soul could get, Inko smiled up to her little girl before bringing her into an embrace, wiping her eyes she choked on a laugh as the wolven creatures nudged into the hug gently, the one known as Ulfrun toppling the pile over with Izumi and Inko laughing at the action with Ulfrun grunting as he climbed onto his feet with Raksh biting his tail, the two ran around the clearing with Inko blinking at the serene sight of a Lotus tree hanging over a perfectly circled pond. Inko spoke gently.
"What is this place?" seeing her daughter stand up while helping her up with the assistance of Lycath, Inko was lead closer to the pond.
"I found them laying in the water, frozen like statues" turning to the four wolven creatures, they sat around Izumi like loyal guard dogs, staring at Izumi with such reverence, Inko smiled at her daughters enthusiasm finally showing itself after the harsh words her father spoke before leaving them.
"They woke up to my singing mom" turning to Izumi whose eyes were glowing in the moonlight, Izumi continued.
"They woke up to me" staring at Izumi for a full moment, Inko picked up her with the four quirk summoned wolf creatures perking up.
"You all coming or what, it's cold out here" moving back home with the four following calmly, Izumi stared at the pond…
Staring at a woman who stood above the water, she gave a motherly smile while waving to the girl who waved back, watching as the lady faded in the wind as Lotus pedals, Izumi finally found sleep approaching her.
