Prompt: Bodyswap
One thing about Jace's life that he hadn't understood for a long time was the fact that sometimes, he would wake up to find he was in a body that did not belong to him.
This had happened since he was a kid, living with the man he considered his father. The other boy, the one whose body he would wake up to find himself in, also knew Jace's 'father,' and as it turned out, he was the actual son.
Jace had not known the other boy's name. He had assumed it was Jonathan Wayland. Then, he thought he knew it was Jonathan Morgenstern.
But Jonathan Morgenstern preferred the name Sebastian.
So many times, after the start of the Dark War, Jace would still find himself in Sebastian's body. He didn't understand. Why did this happen?
But even though he didn't understand why he swapped bodies with Sebastian so many times, he did understand that Sebastian wasn't as bad of a person as everyone else thought he was. He was a teenager, unloved by his own father, raised as the demon everyone saw him as.
Jace had been determined to prove them wrong, and he had succeeded.
Afterwards, he realized that during all the bodyswaps, he had learned to love Sebastian. Love him in a romantic way.
And Sebastian loved him back.
