Atlas felt a wave of anxiety wash over him as he remembered the phrase he had been muttering. "Subject of Ymir". He had been so focused on trying to communicate with the humans that he had forgotten about the notes Hanji had read in Ilse's journal. "The thought was funny at the time but I don't consider the possibility of me turning back without eating a shifter" he thought

"Um...excuse me," Atlas said, speaking up to get Hanji's attention. "I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I know it might have sounded strange, but I'm still trying to figure things out."

Hanji gave him a curious look. "What do you mean?" she asked.

Atlas hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. "should I bullshit my way so it doesn't diverge from canon?" his mind racing with thought. "I...I think I might have come from a different world," he said finally. "I don't really understand what's going on here."

The soldiers around them exchanged skeptical glances, but Hanji looked intrigued. "A different world?" she repeated. "What makes you say that?"

Atlas hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I don't really know. It's like...I remember another life, a life where things were different. And then I woke up here, in Trost. Think of it as an alternate reality. Titans don't exist and we're humans at each other's throat instead of man eating giant humanoids"

"did it work..?" he thought to himself

Hanji listened intently as Atlas spoke, her eyes widening in fascination. "This is incredible," she said. "I've heard stories of people in the past used to fighting with each other. Now that we have a common enemy, we are mostly saving up human resources to fight Titans."

Atlas blinked in surprise.

Hanji looked serious for a moment. "Subject of Ymir". Atlas Flinched at the word. "What does it mean? You keep on saying that phrase from time to time but what does it mean?" Hanji asked with curiosity on her face.

"Right…Subject of Ymir… I'll tell you when the time is right, Trust me Ms.Hanji as much as I wanted to talk about it, I can't right now" Atlas responded. Hanji opened her mouth to press the topic further but Atlas intercept "I think I know how to make my Titan skin hardened". And with that Hanji completely dropped the topic and focused on what Atlas said.

Hanji's eyes glinted with excitement as she looked at Atlas. "This is amazing! We have to test your Titan form and see what you can do. We need to see if you can help us defeat the Titans."

Atlas swallowed nervously, realizing that he had just walked into something much larger than he had anticipated. "I don't know if I'm ready for that," he said, his voice shaking slightly.

Hanji waved a dismissive hand. "Nonsense. You have a unique ability, and we need to know everything about it. Besides, we need all the help we can get if we're going to survive this war."

She motioned for Atlas to follow her, and he reluctantly got to his feet, feeling like he had little choice in the matter. The soldiers around them moved aside to let them pass, their eyes following Atlas with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

As they walked through the camp, Hanji filled Atlas in on the current situation. She explained that they were part of the Survey Corps, a group of soldiers who ventured beyond the Walls to study the Titans and gather intelligence. She told him about the war that had been raging for years and the constant struggle to keep humanity alive.

As they approached a group of soldiers, Hanji introduced Atlas. "This is Atlas," she said, motioning to him. "He's a new ally, and we need to test his Titan form as soon as possible."

The soldiers looked at Atlas with a mixture of awe and apprehension. One of them stepped forward, a boy with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. "I'm Eren Yeager," he said, extending his hand. "I'm one of the soldiers fighting to save humanity. I've fought Titans my whole life, and I've seen what they can do. If you can help us, we need you."

Atlas nodded, feeling a sense of kinship with the boy. He could sense the determination and bravery in Eren's eyes, and he knew that he was someone he could trust. "I'll do whatever I can to help," he said.

Hanji beamed at the two of them. "Excellent! Let's get started on your Titan experiment, Atlas."

Hanji led them to a small clearing where a group of soldiers had set up a few targets. She explained that she wanted to test Atlas's Titan form to see what kind of damage he could do, and how his abilities compared to Eren's.

"Okay, let's see what you've got," she said, gesturing for Atlas to transform.

Atlas took a deep breath and bit his finger, focusing on the Titan form that he had only just learned to control. He closed his eyes and concentrated, feeling his body start to change.

When he opened his eyes again, he was standing in the clearing in his 14 Meter Titan form. The soldiers around him gasped, some impressed by the sight before them, and some don't.

Atlas looked down at his massive hands, feeling the power coursing through his body. This was what it was like to be a Titan, to feel invincible and unstoppable.

Atlas focused on his right fist and concentrated hard. He felt a strange sensation building up within him, like a pressure that was slowly building up. It was a familiar feeling, one he had experienced before when he had summoned the strength to punch through a wall. But this time, it was different.

As he channeled his power into his fist, he felt a strange shift in the air around him. The very atmosphere seemed to crackle with energy, and the ground shook beneath his feet. He could sense the intensity of the moment, and he knew that this was no ordinary feat of strength.

Finally, he felt a sudden release of energy, and he opened his eyes to see that his fist was now completely encased in a layer of crystalline material.

"Wow, I've never seen anything like that before!" Hanji exclaimed, staring at the hardened fist in amazement.

Eren was equally impressed. "That's incredible!" he said, grinning from ear to ear. "With that kind of power, we could really turn the tide of this war."

Atlas felt a sense of pride wash over him as he looked at his hardened fist. He had always known that he was different, that he had powers beyond those of a regular titan. But now, he had proof. He had the ability to harness the power of the Titans, to control their abilities and use them for good.

"I want to help," he said, looking at Hanji and Eren with determination. "I want to fight with you, to help protect humanity and put an end to this endless cycle of suffering."

Hanji nodded, a fierce look in her eyes. "We can always use more help," she said. "And with your abilities, I think you'll be an invaluable asset to our cause."

Eren smiled, clapping Atlas on the back. "Welcome to the Survey Corps, Atlas," he said. "We're glad to have you on our side."

Atlas grinned back, feeling a sense of belonging that he had never experienced before. He was no longer an outsider, a monster that had to be feared and avoided. He was part of a team, a group of people that shared his goals and his values.

Together, they would fight to protect humanity from the Titans. And with Atlas's powers, they just might have a chance of winning.
