Valentine Special: Love in all Flavors

FYI: I feel like I might get canceled for this one so it's a good thing I only know of about six people who will read this, and know those six people won't judge me. I would like to formally apologize to Super VC, because this story is absolutely Oscaar centric. Sorry VC, but it had to be done at some point.

Enjoy (hopefully)!

Shawn was probably one of the best GGO players in the world, followed closely by Isaac. It didn't help most people to note that these two boys were also exceedingly arrogant at times, because they were so unabashedly socially awkward at others. Kind in their hearts and inspiring to a whole crowd of people.

Well, then again, that could have also been because they were hotter than a forest fire.

Especially together.

Not that they were together romantically, per say, but everyone could sense the sexual tension between the two. For the most part though, it just drove people in even more. For Oscaar, he didn't think he could be drawn in anymore. The two were everything he dreamed about, quite literally on most nights. All he could imagine when he grew to understand the art of pleasing himself in certain ways.

But that wasn't what was important at the moment. What was important right now was that it was Valentine's day and Oscaar was absolutely not about to give either one of them the chocolates he'd made. Not a chance.

Not when he'd seen them both reject people way cooler then him, looking way nicer than him, with actual personalities that could make people interested in a few words, unlike him. Shawn noticing his talent for GGO (Which was still practically non-existent anyways) was just a one-off fluke. They would never look at a scrawny kid like him and think 'Hey, maybe he could be a fun person to date'.

Yeah, that wasn't gonna happen.

Three days ago he'd sat and unloaded on his poor player, telling Shield his every woe with the holiday this year.

Now it became apparent to the boy that Shield had done some sharing.

Here was Swift, pushing his foot into the artificial grass, blushing quite fiercely for an artificial intelligence game player, and telling him he'd like to be Oscaar's Valentine. Unbelievable.

Oh, and Cat was probably gonna kill him if she found out.

"I-I know you'd probably prefer - well - but I really like you and I think…"

"Okay, hang on a second, Swift." Oscaar put his hands up in front of him, trying to calm the player, who was starting to look a little frustrated with himself. "Do you even know what Valentine's day is?"

Swift blushed even darker (and Oscaar still had to figure out how that was possible) and looked up at him for a second before looking back down. "It's when you… you tell people how much you love them and how you love them. And I… I think I love you Oscaar. It's like - I can't concentrate without thinking about how proud I want you to be of me. I wanna be good for you, so you'll want me."

And that, that was definitely a lot more emotionally mature than Swift should have been able to put out in the first place. He was sure something had been said about Myth being the only one to really have his own feelings.

Regardless, here was this footballer telling him how he loved him and probably alluding to something Oscaar really didn't wanna think about. Was it normal to tell someone you like that you wanna be good for them? He knew he wanted to do good to impress Shawn and Isaac, but being good didn't really have the same feeling to it.

Regardless, it definitely made something stir in his stomach when Swift said it like that, all shy and adorable.

Wait, no. No, Swift was not shy and adorable. No. Swift wasn't even a person last time Oscaar checked. Gods above, he really needed to get out of here. Probably needed to talk to Isaac too. How do you casually mention that you just got asked out by what people would essentially class as a toy of a game character?

What a turn around this day was making.

"Okay. Um…" First and foremost then, how do you turn down a footballer without hurting his feelings and compromising the team.

Probably carefully.

Yeah, carefully sounds good.

"Listen Swift, As great as that sounds and everything, and it does sound nice, I don't really know how that would work…" Was that careful enough? He didn't think so, especially with the way Swift's face fell. He hastened to find something he could add to help it sting less. "I really appreciate that you thought of me though. It warms my heart that you feel that way. I just really don't know how to date you. It wouldn't be like any dates I've been on, or anything I've prepared for. I really like you too, but I don't see how it could work."

"Just for one day?" Swift asked, still hopeful, and Oscaar really couldn't say no to that pout again, so he resigned himself to a day of trying to appease the robot.

I am wholly and completely uncomfortable with this fic, so enjoy this short, open-ending. Please excuse this being so short and incomplete.
