The big voodoo fire spewed out from her left hand, while Amiya's magic hand was still not ready to stop the incoming doom in front of her eyes.
'Don't die on me, kid!'
Just as i brought the last wounded to the closest Medic who was hiding in the alley with the others, I put the maximum speed to the fullest to run in front of the little bunny. The ground is cracked, the winds blowing hard, making the people a little bit thrown aback from my action.
Arrived to the Amiya's death door, with no hesitation, I blocked the fire lady magic with Armor mode from the bunny, and at the same time the Doctor running from outta nowhere, hugging and covering the fire away who came close to her. the fire were cut in two ways from my Armor mode.
As the lady stopped attacking, silence filled the air.
I know I'm going to be cooked alive, but i watch the energy bar stop draining only a one third, and back recharging to the fullest in 5 secs… What?
-My theory was right then… the Nanosuit becomes 10 times stronger after the substance…
"But that doesn't explain a fire that can cook a human alive!". I replied backly in disbelief
-Back in Lingshan Island the N1 can withstand an ice that can frost humans completely by a burst from the Ceph Mothership or a suicide Ceph Hunters… if it isn't enough it can withstand inside Ice Sphere too, I don't need to explain more, son…
The fuck is an Ice Sphere?
"I see… the Anomaly…". Fire lady spoke in irritation
I really wanna trash talk this woman but safety of people comes first. I urged the Doctor to grab Amiya out of here, and the Doctor just nod then grab Amiya who has a face of grateful.
TACTICAL OPTIONS AVAILABLE
I turn towards the Fire lady who has pissed plastered on her face, and SECOND give me information about all of her in the Tactical visor, She uses some kind of fire sword that can cut through the walls easily, she doesn't have armor on, which is good, but what worries me is that she have some forcefield around her.
Which I think it's going to be hard if I want to kill or beat her, but Prophet just reassured me that I can beat her- hell no old man you mean 'we' you're the one who rope me into this situation in the first place -he said the Armor and Strength mode really effective against enemies like her.
Man, times like this I kinda need a rifle…
"Insect, shouldn't have stand our way. Die like the rest you are".
Then the fire lady shot the big fire magic at me, which I deflected with my arms still using Armor mode, and the magic hit the building right side of me.
"Interesting you deflected my Arts easily…".
Yeah, just like the sky is blue, the moon is round and you're a hot lady
I hear a gasp from the terrorists grunt- no wait all of em gaping at me, while the fire lady frowned…
"Ah fuck, did I bring my thought to my mouth really loud?". I said
-Yes, you did… Prophet said with deadpanned
I hear smack came from one of the Scout's team members who was just hiding in the building with Dobermann and the others.
"Your… sarcasm is noted, and I didn't know a man who gave me a trouble for the past few hours had such Inappropriate words. My impression of yours is Terrible. And you're only standing in my way. Now... be gone…".
The fire spewed out from her slowly becoming white and i can feel the heat became more hotter than before as I deflected the burst magic attack again, again and again. her fire suddenly spreading and eating away the building that surround us then crumbling to the ground. I saw the terrorists grunt backing away knowing their leader fire could kill them instantly right now. I watch the energy bar down to 65%, I need to end this fast.
With that I'm running to her like no human could all the while dodging from the oncoming many attack, when almost close to her I jump high after that I use Strength mode with all i could to punch and destroy the force field, the barrier is cracked and finally it broke, the energy drain to 30%, her face is full surprised and shocked.
Then I use my other arm to punch her in the face after landing, she use her sword to stop the momentum of my fist from attacking her, skidded away from me but that doesn't stop her to strike me fast with her magic sword back, trying to cut my neck off with monstrous speed, Prophet through SECOND gave me a warning earlier where the incoming attack was then i blocked it, sword ping can be heard around the battle, her attack bounced off of my arm, She then tried to slash my body in two from top of my head, i dodge to the left then try to attack her which she reply with rotating her body to counterattack me, then i dodge it again.
With that clash after clash, sword meets arms, fire magic meets alien tech, a dance between two monsters.
"I'll admit while you have terrible personality you have impressive skills…". Said fire lady while we both holding and pushing with our respective weapons, trying to win the power.
"Thanks, is this your flirting? because it's fucking terrible". Then were both skidding far away, my energy recharge to full back before we begin to fight again.
She throws out a crescent hell fire through swinging her sword to me multiple times, i run to her very fast while dodging from the scythe of fires, i grab a pole that closest to me when i finally reach her, and slam her with my new weapon, she cut it easily but that's how i want it to be, an opening that i can finally punch her, which she dodge it, of course she's fucking dodge it, She slash to my right and i jump back away from her.
Then suddenly she points her sword to the ground and heads held high with her left arm stretched out to me "How about this instead we fight unnecessarily, Why don't you join us great warrior? your skills are very needed. With us we can take the infected life back, the oppressors will become fearful of us!, Rather than playing around with their naivety Idealism, Face the reality and Join us! With this i formally invite you to join our group".
'She talks almost like Hargreave and I don't like that…'
"…You wanna know the answer? Easy… no. Lady we've only known each other for about 26 minutes and you ready to take me out on a date?, Fuck no. Do you wanna know why? Because I just saw your group butchering the non infected and the infected in my face no less, a pile of people getting burned alive, a kid who just lost her parents with multiple stabs wound to their body making her traumatized, do I need to list more why I shouldn't join your group?. Your group is full of sadistic streaks, Have some leash on them fucker!".
"….". Some of the Terrorists having a doubt about their group? Good.
"…Sacrifice has to be made, and the Traitor must be punished, those are the rules…". Said Talulah with a straight and no remorseful expressions.
"Yeah, well your rules need to be rectify then, because all I hear is Terror is coming out of your mouth everytime you're talking…".
"I see… truly a waste of chance for just chasing a fools dream".
"That's not even a dreams or ideals, it's called common sense. Do you think the world will change their minds after this?, the infected get oppressed more, idiot".
"The infected has oppressed for far too long before you even born, do you think we will just sit down and let the others do as they pleases?".
"Of course not, but what you just did, it's throwing more gasoline to the fires. And what? gathering the whole infected to fight the non infected?".
"History written by the victors, surely you knows this. Thus the victors will fall to the infected".
"By kicking in the balls? *snort the way clothes you wear, you know there's another way right? Man, i feel like talking to a grumpy lazy kid".
"Violence, Chaos, and War is the only way to settle things, it is a fact if you read the Terra history completely".
"Yeah, you're right. but it's the fastest way, and there will be many risk and casualties. Again, do you even have a common sense? or are you just that fucking stubborn and stupid?".
"It's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make, but if that is your answer…". Talulah then points her sword at me
"Die with your naive Idealistic then, Kill him…".
I narrowed my eyes on the map, No allies huh, So that's why Talulah only orders her army to kill me, I guess the other abandoned me to get back to safety. Good choice, This isn't my first rodeo anyway. With that I'm preparing the Nanosuit power to fight a whole armies.
"NOW!".
Then suddenly arrow and magics hitting every terrorists that come at me from every direction, halting they're advanced, but that's not enough to stop them, as if a god send me an angel from the heaven itself, a Defender Operators jump out of the sky beating every Reunion that close to me, one of the grunts tries to pounced with a machete in his hand but got stopped from the big guy holding a shield… I really don't need help but that's just a relief I thought I was getting betrayed again.
"Vanguard A1 to 3! Attack them from behind!, while the rest flank them from the right side, i want those Reunion soldiers defeated! Medic I want all of you focused on the Defender! Snipers! Focus on the enemy close to the Defender!, Caster, Focus on the armored one that came from the left side!, Defender, stop the other getting close to Alcatraz!, Alcatraz defeat Talulah now!". Shouted order from the Doctor who was standing far away in one of the upper buildings with Amiya sniping the Reunion with her ball of deep red magic that was coming out of her tip fingers.
"Aye aye Captain…". With that I use running with a Speed mode to use advantage of Talulah attention to me, She saw me, Oh yeah she's fucking irritated alright, Just like that Sword meets arms again…
But this time I ain't fucking around, I readily to use Strength mode with full maximum and my other arms to punch her, She knows what I'm doing but this time she isn't prepared for what I'm about to do…
While she defended with her sword but that doesn't stop her from fucking flying far away to the sky from this area because of my punch, Shockwave and vibration cracked the ground. Oh yeah everyone including the Terrorists gawking at my action, Then SECOND give me some warning about the weather being suddenly bad…
"It's the Catastrophe!".
"Get back!".
"All Operators units! It's time to get to the LZ now!". Shouted the Doctor
With that we're running away from this place even the terrorists and I shit you not there's a fucking raining meteor on our head, so we're hunker down then running, hunker down, running, repeat until the Catastrophe is done…
After that we meet where all the wounded with the kid we saved who is playing with some Medic and hiding in some mall, and they said it's close to the LZ which is a good news, while walking slowly to it there's some laugh and joking around about how we survived the whole thing, I'm not surprised since I guess this is their first time doing a big whole operations, Must be a shock in the system… Then little bunny come at my side with a relief and grateful look "Mr. Alcatraz… thank you for saving me and the Doctor back there…". But I have this urged that I can't hold on since i meet her…

Then suddenly her face got a embarrassed blush… I just can't resist it, I'm sorry little one, then I retracted "A-ah sorry, it's just you suddenly remind me of my sister". But it seems she happy to hear that, I mean she got these cute beam smiled… "It's okay!, I don't mind…". Well at least I'm not getting scolded by anyone…
When we're close, there's some group waiting on us in the front…. Isn't that W? What the fuck is she doing here?
Then our eyes meet- more like visor meets eye -she's surprised that I'm here, and well, she's not alone there's like 17 hooded terrorists of em, then our group stopped.
Awkward silence filled the air…
"I didn't think it goes smoothly…". Dobermann said with weary and sweat around her forehead
"Man, I shouldn't joke around…". One of the Wounded said
"…Yea you kinda jinxed us…". Complained one of the Defender
While me just exasperated and disbelief and stare at the Unhinged white hair woman.
"What are you doing here?". W finally said something
"No, what the fuck are you doing here?, are you really that mad to get revenge over some trash talk?". That got her twitched, but her attention suddenly to the Doctor.
"Do you know her?". Nearl asks me
"It's a really long story, I don't think you want to know…". Scout beat me to the punch before I answer her
"So W, how's Hoederer? Is he fine after getting a punch across the building?, do you really wanna get in our way again?". Continued Scout testing the water, if she wanna fights again.
"Yea, his body got full bandaged and still alive after that 'punch' so he's fine, and whatever... I already got what I want anyway, let them pass…".
With that we continued strolling to the LZ and the Reunion soldier backing up away…
"Hey muscle man". W calling me
"…Yea…?".
"Hoederer said when you meet him again he wants a rematch…".
"…I'll see to it…?". Yeah he's fucking mad alright, losing to a trash talk guy is embarrassing
W just nod and giving me a middle finger…
"…That was something…". Told one of the Vanguard Operators to Defender Operators who just confused as she is
"So can you explain about everything in the first place Prophet, whenever you use some new words I get confused, like what's an Ice Sphere?, I don't even know the Ceph got time travel device". I muttered quietly
-…Of course, I sometimes forgot that you're not in the Lingshan Island…
Unknowingly, the young cautus hear some of the questions…
Osprey… Back on earth we ditch them for the Vulture it was really cramped but a very effective one for a close air support, but in here they still use the old Osprey, but still, I don't think the space was this big if I remembered, and then the pilot told me it was upgraded for space, very useful for logistics really... rather than the Vulture one, and I never knew a city can move while we're in the air, kinda fucking crazy, but Amiya just laughed it off since this is my first time seeing it, She said it's a Nomadic city the reason behind they build this is to stay away from the Catastrophe, and then Their base is made up a walking fortress, really crazy.
After arriving we were greeted by many Operators and staff, all of them were happy many of us still alive some of them hugging each other even bring a beer in hangar bay, then my arms getting tugged by Scout…
"Doctor Kal'tsit wants to see us…".
There we were Me, Scout, the Doctor and Amiya going to meet one of the last Executive of the Rhodes Island in the Control Center. And the room just like the Command Center I knew back home… except of course all the staff seems gone somewhere… I think they're getting dismissed by a green feline with a doctor getup which I think it's Doctor Kal'tsit.
She looks the Doctor very intensely and speak after a few minutes "I hear from Amiya that you got Amnesia… it seems she was right…".
The Doctor looks uncomfortable, I guess there's something between them, I mean you don't need to guess that she gives a hateful glare to the Doctor…
"Amiya, Scout good job rescuing them…".
"Of course Doctor!". Beamed Amiya
"Ah, no problem, although it was Alcatraz is the one who saved me and my team from the Sarkaz mercenaries…". Scout said
"*sighed Yes, I didn't think he would go… punching everyone with that much power…".
"Ah yea, well, I don't have a weapon back there, what am I supposed to do?". I defended myself
"…Alcatraz, I'm going to ask bluntly, where did you get the suit?". Ask Kal'tsit
That got me very weary and tense "…Why?...".
"Because your suit is a cure to the Oripathy that's why I'm asking, I thought you're the creator but since you have limited knowledge like we are then you must be known where the creator was…".
"…Hargreave is the creator… he's dead…". I'm not lying he's really dead, literally this time.
Her eyes closed and sighed… resigned "Of course, can we borrow your suit to research for a cure… We will return it whenever you want and whenever we try to get suit off from you it seems rejecting…".
"I'm sorry but I can't, no one can't so it shouldn't be surprised. The Nanosuit is symbiotic, it's alive… wait if you can't then before I wake up you guys already experimented on me?". I ask in disbelief, I don't know should be angry or not
Regret plastered on her face "I'm sorry, but we are really desperate, Terra as you know it filled with originium wherever you go, so not only it was spreading carried by people but also a force of nature too like a catastrophe… making more hundred thousand people died everyday… so you and the Doctor are our only hope…".
Then Amiya look at me with sad and hope on her expression.
The Doctor just shuffled doesn't know what to do, but they're expecting me to help them to find a cure.
And Scout, his head doesn't look at me, "It's your choice, we even understand if you don't want it. but you are a hope for the infected".
-Your choice son…
I mean yea sure, as long I can still alive and not feeling painful. Then again, I'm going to be here for a long time.
"…Yeah sure, just don't do anything worse alright? like lasering all of my limbs…".
"We will, we'll promise with our life, and Doctor should continue with the formula that has been injected to Alcatraz's, it seems compatible…". Dr. Kal'tsit with a thankful and confidence on her face
The Doctor just nod with a determined look "I have amnesia but that doesn't stop me from finding a cure again, If what you say is true then Alcatraz is our key to end the Oripathy…"
"You and Alcatraz are the Key, I don't know how you found the compatible formula much less a substance one to wake him up of his dormant state… not even in my whole years be able to accomplish this…". Explained Dr. Kal'tsit
"…Huh, so it wasn't you…". Said me in confusion
"No, when I search and read the file of the Doctor research, I don't- I can't understand any of it, Just like you said the suit is Alive literally in a sense, and you wear it like a second skin…".
"…Huh, sounds I owe you big time Doktah I'm with ya Doc".
"I- you're welcome Alcatraz…". Replied the Doctor
-Son, ask where our weapon was, I remember I brought it when fighting the CELL…
"So, where's my weapon?...".
"Ah yes, I almost forgot you brought a destructive weapon when stranded in Iberia. Your bow and a very lethal guns I keep it in my room, I was going to return it to yours when you wake up in Chernobog but I'm not going to take a risk if something goes wrong and falls to the wrong hands, Unlike your suit I understand behind the mechanism of your weapons, the material you're using is… very rare unlike the common Sankta guns…".
A bow really? How am I gonna use it?
"…Well, if that is done, Scout and Alcatraz you can go, and Scout give him a tour around the base. Amiya, Doctor stay here we're going to discuss an agreement in Lungmen…". With that, we're both leaving them in the room.
There was me… me and Prophet in Nanosuit alone in the upper deck, watching the sunset after the shit we've been going through… It's been experienced really, Never knew we're not alone in this universe much less like a human one if you don't count the animal traits and voodoo magic Arts of course… Then again, Ceph was the first proof.
-So what are you gonna do?
"I don't know, I feel like I don't want to get this problem on me, The weight on my shoulders is very heavy- like become a cure for this people that I don't know about? Much less my species… and there's a Ceph out there waiting to be awake ready to fuck this planet like ours… I just want to get home live a normal life, I signed up to be a Marine it's because of my fuck up family and I want to protect the innocent… but this? This is too much…".
-Do you want me to take control?, But I don't know you're going to be erased for real this time, since I am the one who repair back your consciousness…
"*sighed of course not. I want to see my family, Sister, Hell even my mental illness mother…".
-…Well, what are you going to be prepared for a Sacrifice, son?
Then both of my hand grabbing the helmet and take it off, I feel the breeze wind around my hair… it's really relaxing…
"…I guess my 'Peace' would be the one in exchange to get back home…".
And I guess eradicating Ceph from this planet too before they were going to wake up...
With that, I'm preparing for what about to come…
Originally i have a great idea to become a full one before writing this, but then scraped it since it's bland and I'm lack in creativity to write it.
I'll be blunt, I'm not going to give a reader a false hope, i don't know I'm going to continue it or not. so just consider this chapter is the end.
