After the events of Pound Puppies: Quest for the Time Stone, the Pound Puppies go back to their normal adoption missions. Things seem well until Milton Feltwadddle returns to take over shelter 17 and overwhelm the pound puppies, but he soon realizes that something is off. He realizes that the pound puppies have two new members, more support via the Kristen family, and are under the complete protection under the mayor of San Francisco. The pound puppies also have gotten a small boost to their stamina, endurance, defense, and skills via training with the Kristen family. Milton decides the only way to take over shelter 17 is to gain some allies, so he'll overwhelm and eventually dominate over the pound puppies. He soon comes across the Gonzalez family, who is a rich and popular rival to the Kristen family. The family includes Jennifer, Glenn and Maria. He decides to use Glenn as way to annihilate the pound puppies, so he officially uses his and Lucas's rivalry as a way to annihilate the pound puppies. Meanwhile, Drax plans his revenge on the pound puppies, but he soon comes across Milton. The two decide to join forces and take over the entire metro city of San Francisco. the Pound Puppies and Z fighters soon hear about the duo's plan, which causes a major problem between them, the villains, and their adversaries. Will the Pound Puppies and Z Fighters be able to stop Milton Feltwadddle and Drax before San Francisco is taken over, and will the Kristen and Gonzalez families be able to put aside their differences and save the world from domination.
