A Valentine Day story.

Serana's POV

"I winder what hes been up to since we last spoke" I thought.

Its been at least a year since me and Yami spoke. After the fun adventures dealing with Alduin, Mirrak and...my father I told him I needed to find my own way in the world and a new purpose. Ive had some, difficult times moving forward but after saving a group in Hammerfell 2 weeks ago i realized something. .

I walked passed Pinewatch and saw his Housecarl outbfron chopping wood. Yami took the place over after some unsavory Bandits launched a raid from there on Yami's house.

She saw me and waved.

"Lady Serana, good to see you again. Lord Yami arrived home a few hours ago."

"Thanks Rayya." I said and continued along the path.

I eventually reached Lakeview Manor. It hasnt changed a bit. Yami always loved this house above the others, even despite the dangers of Bandit attacks , woldlife , giants, etc.

I tried the door and found it unlocked.

" He must leaving soon." i thought

The momment i oppend the door i almost ran into him.

"S-Serana?" he said, startled.

He was wearing his casual clothes and not his Arch Mage clothes or a Dragon Priest Mask.

"Hi. Its nice to-" i started but was interrupted again by him hugging me.

"W-h whats wrong?"

"All these dam politics. so dam annoying." he said and we separated. "So nice to see you again. What are you doing here?"

"To talk to you actually. Can I come in?" I asked.

"Sure Sure, Tullius can wait."

We headed inside and sat down.

"Llewellyn can you give us a moment?" Yami asked.

"As you wish." the bard replied and left thew the back door upstairs.

"Tell me everything." Yami said.

I ebgan to tell him about my travels across Tamriel. From Helping Wizards in Morrowind toto gather info in Summerset and finally my rescue of a family in Hammerfell.

"What a journey you've been on. Thanks for going to Summerset for me by the way."

I smiled and said "Of Course. After all you've done for me, gather info on the Thalmor is the elastic I could do. Especially because of what coming next."

Before he could respond I interrupted with " When I returned the wife and kids to the Farmer. The love i saw between the Farmer and his wife, his family. He told me how they met. they're life together and it got me thinking. I want that to. someone to share my life with..."

"Is that why you got cured?" he asked, I interrupting my tain of thought.

"You noticed?"

"Serana we've been friends for a long time and been though a lot together. Of Course I'd notice such a drastic change, but I have to ask...does this mean you..."

"Yes ..." I said quietly "I've been thinking about you a lot on my journey and when I got to the farm. You've done so much for me, my family. The more I think about you, the more I want to spend time with you."

"Think you can handle a Temple?" he asked teasingly.

"If it means spending the rest of my life with you, then I'll Grim and bear it."

Before the could say anything I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a kiss. he was surprised but accepted it as he stroked the side of my face with his hand.

We eventually pulled apart and I said " I made you something." and Rummaged though my bad.

"Here. I said and handed him a sweet.

" This a chocolate...heart?" he asked.

"Yeah, it is Valentine s day after all."

"Right, that new holiday the Empire made up to boost the citizens moral." he said and ate it. "Delicious."

"I'm glad." I said with a smile. For the first time in a long, long , long time, I was happy and I have Yami to thank for it.

"Thank you, for everything." I said.
