"Motherfucking piece of shit car!" Kevin growled.
He kicked one of the tires in frustration. The car had overheated. Just his luck that it did it now when he was planning to get rid of the thing next week. He had already ordered a new car that was scheduled to arrive Wednesday when he was home.
"This is the last time I buy a red car. You're all cursed," he said.
He heard a car drive towards him. It slowed down the closer it got, and then finally stopped. The driver stepped out and he couldn't believe his eyes. He knew her. They used to be together in his early wrestling days. Her hair was still long and black, and her sea green eyes still had a sparkle in them.
"Tallulah?" He asked.
"Hi, Kevin. I thought that was you," she said.
"Wow, you still look great," he said.
"Thank you. So do you," she said.
She walked towards him and he couldn't help but notice how her hips swayed from side to side. The short, red, Summer dress moved softly in the mild breeze.
"What's the problem?" She asked.
"Piece of shit car overheated," he said.
"You got any coolant?" She asked.
"If I did, I wouldn't be standing here swearing at it," he said.
She broke out in a smile and giggled.
"I have missed your way of speaking," she said.
"That's an odd thing to miss," he said.
"Don't get me wrong. I missed all of you, but you always had a fun way with words," she said. "Get in my car. I can take you to my place for some coolant."
"You still live down South?" He asked.
"Of course. I told you I would never leave," she said.
His heart hurt hearing her say that. He knew she didn't mean anything by it but he couldn't help but feel hurt.
"I'm sorry for leaving you," he said.
"You had to go back home to Canada," she said.
"I'm still sorry. I had such a hard time figuring out what to do. I didn't want to leave you," he said.
"I'm not mad at you, Kevin. What we had was beautiful but not every relationship is meant to last. Sometimes love isn't enough. You taught me what true love is supposed to feel like, and I'm grateful for all our time together. I cherish the memories," she said.
She made it sound so easy. He could see she was telling the truth. She wasn't mad at him. She gave him a smile and he smiled back.
"Sweet Tallulah," he sighed. "If I could go back in time..."
"Then you would still have left because it was your path to take. Don't question your destiny," she said.
He couldn't help but chuckle. She always believed in destiny and that certain things were meant to happen. She had made life seem so easy when he was with her.
"Can I get a hug?" He asked.
"Of course," she said.
She moved into his arms and he held her close. He took in the flowery scent from her hair. She smelled so sweet.
"I missed you too," he said.
She looked up at him and it was like the world stood still. She moved in slowly and he waited for the kiss that finally came two seconds later. He held on tighter to her, spun her around, and pushed her up against the car.
"Fuck, I missed you so much, Tallulah," he said.
He kissed down her neck and slowly moved downwards.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"I'm going down South," he said.
He winked at her and moved his hands up under her dress. He pulled her panties down and disappeared under her dress. The second his tongue landed on her clit, she let out a moan he had missed hearing for years.
"That's it, Tallulah. Let me hear you," he said.
"Keep going, please," she said.
He grabbed her thighs and went to town with his tongue. He didn't care if anyone drove by and saw them. He needed to taste her and feel her in his arms. She moved her dress up so she could watch him and run her fingers through his hair. He moved his tongue faster, desperate to hear her cry out. It took another minute and then he was rewarded as she started shaking in his arms and cried out his name.
He leaned back on his heels and just watched her in the sunlight with her eyes closed and the sun warming her body. She opened her eyes, looked at him, and broke out in a smile. He smiled back, stood up, and kissed her.
"You haven't lost your touch. You still got the best tongue on the planet," she said.
He burst out laughing and then kissed her again.
"Let's go South," he said.
"Again?" She asked.
"To your home," he kissed her forehead. "Although I will be going down South again when we get there, and you're getting the full ride by then."
"Get in my car, handsome," she said.
He chuckled, pecked her lips, and walked over to her car. He got in on the passenger seat while she got in on the driver's seat.
"I live in the states now," he said.
"I don't care where you live now. Eventually you'll move in with me," she said.
"Did the stars tell you that?" He asked.
"We followed our paths and still found our way back to the same path," she said. "It's our destiny, Kevin. You can't fight it."
"I don't want to fight it," he said.
"Me neither," she said.
She smiled warmly at him and turned the key in the engine. He reached over and placed his hand on her thigh.
"Take me home, Tallulah," he said.
