Summary: Valentine's Day Aftermath
"Sister, why do we have a mountain of chocolates in our living room?"
"Urrrggghhhhh…" A muffled sentence came from the sofa, Ariana turning over with a toss of her hair, the answer a grumpy gurgle of her stomach, "I ate too much…"
Now on her right side, Ariana's wing materialized and flopped over her face.
Aridai picked up a box, reading a card that slipped out of it.
"Hm…To Commander Crescent, thank you for protecting my little sister—Walter Cramer."
He picked up another red box of candy, finding a letter taped to the underside of the box. The top looked like it was decorated with gold leaf, and a pretty wax seal on it.
"To Commander Ariana Crescent, on the behalf of the Stalwart Blue Club, thank you for being not only Shinra's Sword, but the world's. Happy Valentine's Day. From, Lyrica Bellosian. It looks like they got that famous Sector 1 confectioner to make this."
A muffled "I'm saving that for last" came from the pile of miserable SOLDIER hidden under black feathers.
Aridai could count almost 2 dozen boxes either piled on the floor or the coffee table in the middle of their living room.
When they got back from Seventh Heaven on Valentine's, the twins found the enormous pile of candy and chocolates blocking their apartment's front door. It was a nightmare to move them without scattering them across the hallway, especially after Ana drank enough alcohol that would take down at least 2 SOLDIERs.
That didn't explain why Ana just dropped the pile in the middle of the living room.
"Arrrrrriiiiiiii, gimme Teef's catnip chocolates."
"No way. You're already groaning about eating too much chocolate, and now you want drugged chocolates?!" Aridai dodged his sister's lackluster strike at his arm, rolling his eyes.
"Pleeeeaaasseee?"
"No."
"…Fiiiiinneee."
The man groaned into his hand, rolling his eyes and dodging again when Ariana's wing flicked out.
"If you're going to be surely, take a nap," he said, walking over to his sister's room to grab her fuzzy blanket and throwing it on top of her.
Black feathers fell away as the wing hid itself, and she rolled over into a blanket burrito.
"Hrmph...My friend, the Fates are cruel."
"Yes, yes, I'm so cruel, recommending sleep, Sister. Good night."
"Night."
