"So, there are actual strawberries in the ice cream?" Adrien was asking his girlfriend, Marinette. "Yeah, but its just for today, it being Valentine's day." She looked at the phone app that could locate Andre, and stumbled in the soft sand. Adrien caught her. "Thanks," she blushed, as he helped her up.
Then Adrien froze and Marinette looked wildly around. Not akuma today! "What is it?" she hissed, clutching his arm. "Shh. You hear that?" Marinette cocked her head, and came faintly along the wind, and as they walked, the sound got louder. "What is that? An angry cat?" Marinette clapped her hands over her ears.
Turning the corner, Adrien pulled Marinette back quickly. It was Luka! And he was practicing the violin! Though it was doing more screeching at the moment instead of singing. Luka caught sight of them and grinned. "Hey, guys! Come here the new song I learned!" "Do we have to do?" Marinette whispered. Cat Noir still hadn't learned about not yowling on her balcony at night, though he insisted he was singing. This was ten times worse! "Um, sure!"
Sitting on the soft powdery sand, Adrien and Marinette tried not to wince. Luka was normally such a talented musician, what was going on?
Then, the music changed and Marinette's pained expression felt her face, and she snuggled closer to Adrien and he put his arm around her. The violin sang as if it had just awakened from its winter slumber. "That's Vidali, isn't it?" Adrien asked, and Luka nodded. "Marinette, since Luka is provided us with this beautiful music, would you care to dance?" Marinette nodded, and Adrien put his arms around her.
Luka's music changed to a softer melody, and the couple danced under the setting sun. The music stopped, and all was quiet and peaceful. Just the sound of the water lapping along the shore could be heard.
"Thank you, Luka. You truly have a gift for music," Adrien said, holding Marinette close. "That's not what you two thought a few minutes ago," Luka burst into laughter. "You should have seen your faces!" Luka smiled at them. "Its my Valentine's gift for you. Music, romance and a bit of humor."
"Yeah, cause for a minute, I wondered if you had lost your touch," Marinette giggled. "Now if Cat would stop yowling at night." Adrien caught her words. He'd see about that.
"Well, off to get ice cream?" Adrien asked. "Yes, off to get ice cream. Come on, I'm ready for those strawberries!" "Race you!" Adrien raced across the sand.
Luka watched them chase each other out of sight. "Happy Valentine's Day, friends," he said, and proceed to play long into the night.
