A few days had gone by since Izuku took the entrance exam for UA. He had spent the time lifting weights to increase his muscle mass to allow access to more of One For All, during the exam Izuku had noticed that he was able to continuously use around 15% of the power with short bursts of up to 20% without any drawbacks. 100% still of course left him mangled and useless as proven by the SMASH against the huge zero pointer.
'I wonder...' Izuku pondered
He sat in the living room of the apartment he lived in with just his mother and closed his eyes. Focusing on the whirlwind of power inside of him, he started pulling on the power allowing it to flow throughout his entire body. The power surged around inside of him until he noticed he was at his continuous limit, focusing hard he raised that to the 20% he used at the moment of impact.
'I can do this!'
He allowed more of the whirlwind to whip around inside and pushed the power up to around 30%. His muscles started aching but he kept going. Increasing the power to 40% he noticed it really put a strain on his body; to compensate he dropped the level by around 5% to find that while still, he could focus 35% of the massive power All Might had given to him.
Every muscle was pulling to keep itself together as Izuku slowly stood and started to move around the apartment seeing what this level of power was like. Emerald bolts of lightning surrounded his body as he walked.
"I-Is that it? Your quirk I mean" came the timid voice of his mother, Inko, with tears in her eyes threatening to spill at any moment.
"Yeah, mom it is! Oh I haven't shown you my quirk before have I?" replied Izuku scratching the back of his head. He had to drop the power back down 20% even to reply causing the lightning surrounding him to drop slightly.
"It looks incredible son, is it a lightning quirk? I think one of my uncles had one of those"
"It's a stockpiling quirk I think," he said, hating having to lie to his mother.
"A stockpiler? I don't know anyone in the family with one of those, could it be a mutation or something?" Inko asked
"I'm not sure, maybe that's why I haven't had a quirk for so long. Because it needed time to build power before there was enough for me to use" Izuku said hoping his mother would buy the lie. He hated this. 'I need to speak to Toshinori about telling mom' he thought to himself
"I-I'm so happy for you" cried a tearful Inko
Izuku turned off his quirk; walked over to her and gave her a hug causing the well of tears to cascade down her face. Due to them both being highly emotional, this caused Izuku to start crying as well
"MY BABY," she said crying with tears comically starting to flood the floor of their apartment
"I'm sorry I didn't believe in you all those years ago"
Knowing she was referring to what was said after they visited the quirk doctor all those years ago Izuku tightened the hug.
"I know mom, but there's no need to worry now. I have a quirk and nothing will stop me become a hero you can be proud of" he replied with a smile on his to reassure his mother.
A week later
Izuku hadn't heard from All Might in over a week now, which wasn't unusual as the man still had the job of being the Number One Hero and the Symbol of Peace, but he thought he would've at least contacted him seeing as he had just taken the test to get into UA
"IZUKUUUUU, I-IT'S HERE" his mum shouted running into the room with a package.
The letter to tell him whether or not he had been accepted into UA. It had arrived.
"Let's watch it together mom"
Opening the package a small holodisk dropped out and landed on the table with a dull thud. The object span into life projecting the image of All Might into the air.
"HAHAHA I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION" boomed All Might
"All Might?" came both the greenettes in confusion
"Now, Young Midoriya, I'm sure I should get to the point and tell you the all-important answer. BUT FIRST! I will be joining UA as the heroics teacher this year, so in keeping with my new job I will give you a rundown of your performance. You managed to get 80 villain points which on its own would be enough to get you into the course, however, we at UA like to give those other opportunities. What is the most important thing about being a hero?" he asked rhetorically as no answer could be heard as its a pre-recorded message
"Saving lives! You saw that girl lay there unable to move and instead of running like everyone else in the exam you turned and ran! But towards the huge robot! So in the spirit of being a hero, you have been awarded an additional 60 points rescue points bringing your total up to 140 points meaning you're top of the school! SO HAHAHA, Young Midoriya, welcome your hero academia"
The rest of the night was very emotional for Izuku and his mother with not many words being said just an avalanche of tears that was only stopped by drink breaks to rehydrate themselves.
Once they had managed to compose themselves, Izuku went to bed excited to start his new journey of becoming a hero.
A strange dark world appeared around him as he'd drifted off to sleep, strange lights were streaking the skyline and a gentle breeze permeated the air.
"You're the ninth" came a feminine voice.
Izuku turned around to see a beautiful woman with black hair, a beauty mark under her lip and a big smile on her face.
(In this his head and mouth are gonna be the first thing to form, basically he forms top-down)
"The ninth?" said a bewildered Izuku
"Yeah, you're the ninth person to use One For All" she replied
"H-How do you know about that?" Izuku said worriedly
"Because I was the Seventh" she laughed "I'm Nana Shimura, you won't know me, but Toshi will. I trained him"
"You were All Might's master?"
"Yeah, I think that's why I can speak to you now because there is a bond between myself and Toshi and the same for you and him. The quirk has reached its singularity, you will likely be the last wielder of One For All, and you will be able to use all of our quirks in time. Buuut we're gonna start with mine" She winked at him
"How many other quirks," Izuku asked
"Now that would be telling" she replied laughing
"Right, we haven't much time left, so I'll give you a rundown of my quirk. It's called Float and when I had it as you can imagine it allowed me to float in the air and move around, not too quickly mind you. Since it's become a part of One For All the power has amplified that quirk, I imagine you'd be able to fly these days."
"Fly? Wow, that's a super rare quirk. How quickly can I go? How long can I fly for? Wait, will you be able to talk to All Might too?"
"Whoa, kid, slow down, I'm losing you there. I have no idea how fast or how long you can fly, that's what you've got to figure out. Unfortunately, I can't speak to Toshi, he only has his build-up of One For All now. I should be able to speak to you though, in your mind, so if you ever need anything just ask"
"Just be careful, we don't know what else..." she was saying.
The world had started to pull and Izuku was drifting further and further away from the woman, he blinked and when he opened his eyes he was back inside his room.
"That was weird" he mumbled to himself.
First Day at UA
Izuku walked through the massive gates that allowed entry to the school. He was ecstatic! He'd finally made it to the school of his dreams. Following the map, he had been sent in the post he made his way to his classroom.
1-A
"This is it," He said quietly "I hope Bakugo isn't in there"
He slid the door open, being greeted with shouting
"GET YOUR FEET OFF THE TABLE THIS INSTANT, IT'S SCHOOL PROPERTY AND SHOULD BE TREATED WITH THE PROPER RESPECT" shouted a boy with glasses doing a chopping motion in the air
"I am Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy" he added
"Somei huh? Elitist bastard! I'm gonna have fun destroying you" raged Bakugo
'Oh god, not both of them'
'You'll be fine kid, you're the strongest in there' Nana said to Izuku in his mind
"Wha? Where?" he replied looking around frantically to place the voice
'I told you the other day silly, I'm in your head, I'm part of One For All so I can talk to you'
'Oh, that makes sense, now I look stupid to the rest of the class'
'That's your fault kid, you should've remembered' Nana laughed
Looking at the open door the boy with glasses marched over
"I'm Tenya Iida from"
"Somei Private Academy, I heard you" Izuku interrupted
"You saw something in the exam didn't you, something that I must congratulate you on" Tenya pressed
"What do you mean"
"You knew that saving that girl would get you extra points, whereas I thought that the zero-point robot would reset your points to zero" he continued
"No No, you've got it all wrong," Izuku said "She was stuck under the concrete and was in danger, I just wanted to help"
"Well you have the spirit of a true hero then" he chopped "putting your future on the line for someone you don't know and taking down the zero-point robot"
"Wait what? Dude! That's so manly!" came an excited voice "I'm Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet you" the redhead said
"NO WAY, you really took down that robot? Mina Ashido by the way" said an excitable pink girl
"I didn't do much really" Izuku replied scratching the back of his head. "Nice to meet you both though"
"You didn't do much? You jumped and in one hit you smashed up that robot" came a voice only Izuku recognised "I'm Ochaco Uraraka, nice to meet you properly"
"I-Izuku Midoriya" came the meek reply
"DEKU, YOU BASTARD, WHAT DO THEY MEAN YOU BEAT THE ZERO POINTER?"
"Sit down, shut up the lot of you," said a dull voice from behind the podium at the front of the class
"I'm Shota Aizawa, your teacher and there will be no irrational shouting in my classroom. Now, go and get your sports clothes on, we're going outside for a quirk test and no you won't be going to orientation, if you want to go there go and enrol for general studies afterwards"
