** Hi Everyone! I know its been ages since I've uploaded. I wanted to give a teaser for whats to come with my rewrite of Digimon Adventure Adventure Retold. This is where the story is heading and I hope you all are as excited as I am! Enjoy***

"Here Davis. You hang onto it." Tai handed Kari's digivice to Davis,

"Me? But why?" Tai stepped back as he spoke.

"You're the leader of this team. As leader its your job to decide when Kari should have her digivice back. For now, I'm asking you keep it. It's not safe. But I also recognize that as her brother, sometimes I don't see all the strength Kari has." Tai looked slightly embarrassed. Davis looked at the pink Digivice. He couldn't believe Tai had given this task to him. He looked at Tai and nodded,

"You can count on me." Davis said with full gust. Tai put a hand on Davis' shoulder.

"I knew I could." Tai then stepped back.

"I should go check on Kari. You guys stay safe and remember what TK said. Kari might only be one of the threats the enemy is looking at. We all harness some part of the light. That makes each of us a target." Davis nodded. He looked to see Cody nod with a determined face. He saw Yolie look uneasy. He then looked to TK. TK was stoic. His face was hard to read

Is he mad that Tai entrusted me and not him? Davis stared at his blond classmate. Tai turned to leave and Davis felt demiveemon tap him on the leg

"Davis are we going?" His digimon asked looking up at him. Davis inhaled realizing now was not the time to question.

"Yeah its time for action!" Davis announced. He then pocketed Kari's digivice and pulled his own out. He thrust it towards the screen,

"Digiport open!" He felt the warmth of the light engulf him and in seconds he was transported to the Digital world. Davis landed on the ground and huffed

"We shoot out of these screens like we've been fired from a rocket." He commented as he stood. The others joined him.

"I'm about ready to invest in wearing pillows. My knees are covered in bruises." Yolie pointed at her bare knees and Davis cringed seeing they were slightly black and blue.

"You girls bruise like peaches." Davis scoffed. He remembered once hitting June in the arm when she annoyed him. His mom got all freaked out cause there was a yellow mark on Junes skin. Davis was certain he had barely touched her and it was a girl thing to get bruises.

"We need to move west. That was where most of the dark towers have been built. I'm pretty sure we will find ken (the digimon emperor) there." TK held Patamon in his arms and marched past the group. Davis frowned. He ran ahead

"Since I am the leader." Davis made sure to punch that last word while looking right at TK.

"I think we should head to the last place we saw him. I bet that power source that was there will still be there. Its so big no one could move that in a day." Davis watched TK roll his eyes. Davis marched ahead and started leading.

"No, we should go west." TK said sternly. Davis stopped marching. He looked back at TK who was glaring at him. Yolie and Cody were standing still.

"Hey TU, did you not hear Tai?! I'm in charge." TK stepped forward.

"Doesnt mean you get to boss us around like a dictator! Izzy said there were more control spires in the west, that's where we should head!" Davis stepped towards TK.

"No we should head back to where we were!" Yolie then whistled

"Okay break it up!" Hawkmon shook his head,

"We cant be fighting each other!" Cody spoke,

"Hawkmons right, TK I know what Izzy said but I have to agree with Davis. We should scout out our last location. That energy source was gigantic. Ken was obsessing over it. He might still be there." TK growled under his breath. Davis smirked feeling he had won.

"Told you." Davis snapped. Davis could see TK was shaking a little. He almost wanted to egg him on, see if he could break. Yolie then stepped between them.

"Not to be rude TK but maybe Tai has a point." TK softened his gaze and looked at Yolie confused.

"Tai put Davis in charge because he feels like Davis can separate his emotions from this better. Maybe you should start doing the same." Yolie walked past the two teens. TK looked almost hurt. Davis felt like giving a smirk but stopped.

What does she mean by that? Is this about Kari? Don't I care about her just as much? Davis started walking now wanting to escape his thoughts. He was starting to get angry.

"Come on cody!" Armadillomon said and Davis felt the yellow digimon run up to Davis' side. Davis decided to walk. He kept his head down. Demiveemon skipped a head without a care in the world it seemed.

"Davis? You okay?" Cody asked. Davis looked next to him seeing the younger boy. Davis shook his head.

"Fine." He said hotly. Davis concentrated on not looking but he wanted to know if TK was following. He heard Patamon speak,

"TK you look sad." Davis kept his eyes forward but could hear TK's footsteps behind him.

"It's nothing Patamon." TK mumbled. Davis felt uneasy. He shook his head and focused on Yolie who was leading their group back towards the warehouse.
