I wanted to write an angst fic because why not? (I'm also totally not procrastinating on exercising and another fanfiction)
*Suicidal Themes
Adrien stood alone at the graveyard and read the text printed on the gravestone. Here Lies Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She lived a great 97 years. She protected Paris and did such a good job at it when she was younger. She also changed his life for the better, both as Marinette and Ladybug. She was such an amazing person and life partner.
He was so thankful that he was able to get to know for the majority of their lives but now she's gone, along with everyone else. He was the last of his friends that was still here. Marinette did the best she could to stay but this was always going to happen. She was always fated to die first.
He couldn't stay at that graveyard anymore. So he glanced at the fresh patch of dirt that was left on her casket.
He walked home and tried to enjoy the sights of Paris but he couldn't. Everything reminded him of her and the same sights that used to give him joy now made him depressed.
Once he made it home, his legs ached but he didn't care. Nothing could hurt him more than this hole in his heart.
He made a slow but steady beeline towards the secret safe that he and Marinette kept. He quickly put in the code and saw what was inside. The now dusty Miracle Box and his father's ring. That damned ring was the only thing that kept him alive and every since he and Marinette found out the truth of his existence, they kept it in this safe to stop anyone from controlling him again. The Miracle Box was also kept there too for safe keeping. Since Marinette never wanted to forget her time as the guardian, she was the guardian... until recently. Someone would come around soon to collect the box but until then, it was still here which is all Adrien needed.
He opened the Miracle Box to find a certain Miraculous that could help him.
He sloppily put on the Peacock Miraculous and said, "Duusu, spread my feathers." He felt the suit magically appear on his body. It had been a while since he had transformed but he never forgot the feeling.
He grabbed his ring and thought about his life once more and was content with everything. He had great friends and ever since they defeated his father, he had a great family. But now there was nothing else here for him anymore. It was time.
"I release you from existence."
This isn't the content I would usually write but I was thinking about how long a Sentimonster (or Sentibeing in this case) could live and while I do think Adrien would be able to die of natural causes, it's not angsty. Also, this fanfiction totally wasn't written because I don't feel like working out and want to procrastinate. But if that was the reason I'd go do that right now.
Also, the reason why Marinette and Adrien have the Peacock Miraculous is because Félix decided to give it back after LB and CN beat Gabriel. And Marinette kept the Miracle Box in case she needed to give the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses to any new hero.
