Ron didn't understand why he had to take Arithmancy to become an Aurror but what had to be done to have the best job in the world. So there he sat alone since Hermoine had the class earlier that day with Harry since both of them were still in Care Of Magical creatures. Still, Ron dropped the course in 5th year and started taking Ancient Ruins after being bitten by a horrible animal and almost losing his hand.

The redhead didn't know anyone that he wanted to sit next to so here he was all by himself with random students he never cared until now to know their names now desperately asking his past self why he just ignored his other peers and wasn't at least polite to them. Professor Vector was handing out scrolls, Merlin knew what was going to be on them when another student came in late.

"I am so sorry Professor Vector, Professor Snape held me over to talk about retaking a test." A voice that was familiar but Ron couldn't remember who for the life of him.

"It is alright Blaise Zabini, the only seat left is the one next to Mr. Weasley over there." The Professor pointed over to where Ron sat. 'Oh, Merline no. I will not spend the rest of my 5th year sitting next to Blaise Fucking Zabini. This is going to be hell. Why didn't I just sit next to someone I didn't know? That would be much better than this. Ron watched with internal (and most likely external knowing Ron) horror as Blaise looked over to where Ron sat, smirked, then walked over, or more like strutted over to Ron and took a seat right next to him. 'This was going to be a long year.'

Shockingly, Blaise did nothing the whole class, but then again going down to the library and getting some school books for guided practice then only had time to go over what they would be doing this year, it was time to go to either your next class or break. All in all, it was not the Earth-crushing thing that he had expected.

Though they might have different class schedules they had one class break together. 'Just to think younger me would DIE if he didn't at least have Hermoine or Harry in one of his classes.' Ron mused to himself for no particular reason, just as he made his way into the common room. However, Hermoine and Harry were nowhere to be found. In most cases, one would think that Ron would be sad that his friends weren't there. And in most cases, Ron would be sad about it, but now it was perfect.

You see, Ron has a guilty pleasure that his closest friends aren't aware of. Ron loves drama. More specifically he loves hearing and finding out everything about some big thing that is going down in the social life of others in Hogwarts. But, Harry doesn't notice/care what others are doing and Hermoine also could care less. Even if they had an inkling that Ron was obsessed with it (which he thought to the contrary) they would have never in a million years guessed that Ron was the one who wrote the underground student newspaper under the pen name R. Brings The Drama.

Honestly, Hermoine and Harry probably don't even know that such a thing exists. Well, maybe Hermoine, she does read a lot. Maybe he could drag her into helping him edit the paper. When Ron got to Hogwarts, Lee Jordan took him under his wing to take over the student newspaper. That was when Ron coined the pen name R. Brings The Drama, as being cited as the editor of the paper for L. Takes The Tea. Ron had no idea how Hermoine hadn't read the paper considering that you can find copies of the new issues in the library. And you can find all the student newspapers all the way until the beginning of Hogwarts.

Then again Ron could hear Hermoine talk about how it is very biased and it is nothing that important since all they talk about is what is going on in the school like who is dating who. So, if she did find them (and Ron would be shocked if she didn't search every inch of the library from floorboards to the ceiling) she never said anything about it.

So there Ron sat quill out with a scroll that he would later take to Colin Creeve to give him some photos. 'Let's see. . . Dean and Seamus are finally going out so there goes that couple for Will They Finally Date? but it will be a good finale with a couple finally getting together. But I don't know everything.' Ron thinks to himself as he starts writing the facts that he knows. 'If only I know more facts… Well, they are my roommates so I can go ask them. But then they might get suspicions that I am the one writing the columns.' Ron didn't know when he started but he had left the portrait hall and was walking around aimlessly. He does this a lot when he is stressed about what he is going to write. Writing a whole newspaper takes a lot of effort. Especially when he has to pay for pictures, write all the columns, find the proper paper, make copies, make the setup, and more. It was a lot for one person to do, but Ron loves it so it is worth it. But right now it was tearing him apart. And there was the added stress of finding someone to take over for him when he graduates.

Then he ran into someone that was going to change the path of Ron's life and the newspaper's for the better.
