AN: I wasn't planning to write/post something but I couldn't help myself.

Happy Valentine's/Single Awareness day y'all :3

Asami Sato was a busy woman.

She did her best to keep her schedule open for her family and friends, but there was so much she could do as Future Industries' CEO. She had responsibilities that required her decisions regardless of whatever plans she may have had. Now, she'd be the first to admit, she wasn't the perfect partner when spending quality time with another. However, luckily for her, her loving wife had similar duties that needed her attention resulting in a mutual give-and-take situation. She was a sweetheart and more than she deserved truthfully.

"Miss Sato, you have a special delivery that requires your signature."

Looking up from her paperwork, Asami eyed the door before pursuing her lips. She wasn't expecting a package of some sort.

"Come in."

The door clicked open and her secretary held the door open for the delivery man to come inside. The moment he stepped inside with a bouquet of roses and a card with a decently sized box on top of it, her eyes widened ever so slightly when she realized what was happening.

"I have a delivery for you from Miss Korra."

He brought over the bouquet and once he was close enough, he handed it to Asami. Afterward, he turned around and grabbed a clipboard with the invoice details for a signature. As Asami mindlessly scribbled her name along the line at the bottom, he carefully set down the red box on her desk. Once it was securely seated, he pulled out a card before displaying it nearly on the box.

Asami finally hands him back his clipboard before smiling warmly. "Thank you."

He takes the clipboard back before nodding with his hat. "Thanks a bunch! Have a wonderful Valentine's miss."

By the time he rolled his cart out the door, Asami made eye contact with her secretary. "Can you please bring me a vase May?"

She crossed her arms and bowed slightly. "Of course." She then excused herself before shutting the door softly.

Now that she was alone, Asami looked at the bouquet in her arms again to appreciate its beauty. It was simply gorgeous. There were twelve vibrant red roses tucked in black wrapping paper alongside a sparse amount of baby's breath flowers. She finally leaned in to take a whiff. Smiling at its pleasant fragrance, she turned her attention back to the curious red box on her desk. It was probably also big enough to sit on her lap comfortably and had a white ribbon wrapped around it.

Asami carefully shifted the bouquet in her arms to one side before reaching over to grab the card. She opened it with one hand to read the message. As her eyes read the short message, she chuckled at her sweetheart's message. It read:

To the love of my life,

It's that time of year Sami! Happy Valentine's! I hope you're not working too hard at work but knowing you and that beautiful smart brain of yours, you probably haven't had lunch. Soooo, do not fear, as the best wife in the whole wide world, I sent you some of your favorite snacks! Feel free to eat them all :3

But uh, yeah! May my dozen roses brighten up your day! I picked them each out myself so I can guarantee the quality but I'm sure to fail in comparison to you baby. You're way more beautiful than some silly flowers :333

Anyways, love you much!

Can't wait to see you at home, Korra.

"Miss Sato, I have your vase."

Asami smiled at her roses again before responding. "Come in." Her secretary was quick to set down the vase on her desk and exit her office. After Asami sets down the rose bouquet into the vase, she gave it one last admiring look. Her thoughts were quickly filled with endearing memories of previous valentine's anniversaries.

Maybe Korra thought she hadn't noticed but she did. She has never asked Korra about it directly of course but it was a simple observation she made over the past few years they've been together. With every year that pasts, one more rose would be added to the bunch. Meaning, for the first year they spent together, Korra gave her one rose. The second year together, two roses, and then so on and so forth. Meaning, they've currently been together for twelve years now. It was a cute detail that Asami loved.

There was this one time, during their fifth anniversary when Korra made a flowery path of rose petals. It led from the doorway to their bedroom, of course; along that candle-lit trail, there were four beautiful roses that she picked up along the way. The last one was atop their bed… specifically in Korra's mouth and they had plenty of fun that night.

During their eighth anniversary, Korra had little treats and cute tickets delivered every hour. The only catch was that the one who delivered her gifts was her subordinates… She wasn't exactly sure how her wife convinced all her workers to do so but it was somewhat embarrassing getting gifts from them. They teased her for a few weeks after that.

All of her spouse's acts of endearment were wonderful and she loved them dearly but if Asami had to choose, the one that stuck out to her the most was their tenth anniversary. Korra prepared a mini treasure hunt within her home and every time she reached a checkpoint, he collected a rose until she had ten.

With a new rose added to the collection every year, each one symbolized how long their love for each other has lasted and the more the bouquet size grew, the more Asami grew to love roses. There was nothing sweeter than seeing their love grow metaphorically each year. Taking one last whiff of the roses, Asami smiled once again before facing the red box. She then carefully opened it.

It was a nicely displayed platter of various fruits: such as strawberries, melon slices, grapes, etc… with a few small cute jars on the side of what Asami quickly confirmed to be spreadable toppings of milk chocolate, condensed sweet milk, and hazelnut spread. Her tummy ended up growling slightly, reminding her about food, as her mouth watered.

"Spirits, I love this woman."

Carrying a contagious smile, Asami picked up one of the large strawberries before pouring a generous amount of condensed milk on top of it. She then brought it up to her lips before taking a large bite. She finished off the fruit to its stem before discarding it on the side. Chewly modestly, Asami savored the natural sweetness, satisfying crunch, and milky richness. She covered her lips before moaning lightly. Her hands automatically devoured that fruit platter and once she was sated, she dabbed her lips with a tissue before reapplying her lipstick.

Letting out a sigh of contentment, Asami turned her focus back to her paperwork. She flipped through a few pages before a sad frown settled on her face. Sighing again, she turned to look at her lovely rose bouquet before mumbling.

"I miss Korra."

xXx

The moment Asami heard the door open, she turned to face the doorway before standing up and briskly making her way over.

"I'm home," Korra greeted as she began taking off her shoes.

"Welcome back," her wife quickly greeted as she was two steps away from a hug.

Korra barely removed her shoes on time before Asami pulled her in by the hips and gave her a loving peck on the lips. She immediately giggled at her gesture before wrapping her arms around Asami's shoulders and leaning up to kiss her lips. They kissed each other a few times before lingering in a passionate kiss. When they parted, they nuzzled their noses together before Korra playfully poked with a chuckle and smile:

"Love you too."

Asami giggled happily before firmly pulling Korra's hips into her body even more. "I missed you."

Quickly pecking her cheek, Korra sunk into Asami's body, hugging her tightly as she sunk her face into her neck. "I missed you too." She kissed the back of her ear, "How was work?"

Immediately smiling again, Asami rocked them gently side to side before leaning back to look her in the eyes. "It was horrible…" she started as her eyes ghosted Korra's lips, "but then I got your roses and fruits and discovered I was a little hungry. Why do you always have such good timing? It's kinda scary actually."

Korra blinked before letting out a wholehearted laugh. "I just know my wife better than most."

"You seem to know my body functions more than me…" she stated in a somewhat serious voice. "That's concerning."

This time, Korra growled playfully. "If I didn't know your body well by now, that would be…" she then glanced down, taking a peak at her chest. "Tragic."

"True…"

Asami then eyed Korra hungrily before playfully running her finger down her arm. "I hope I know your body just as well as you do mine…"

Humming playfully, Korra rubbed her wife's shoulders sensually. "Well… we can just find out tonight."

"Hmm… we can…" Asami slowly leaned down into her lips and just when they were about to touch, she grinned before tearing away and straying from her course. "But before we do… I got you something." She finally released Korra's hips and stepped back to pull something out from her pocket.

Korra pouted her lips in slight disappointment but, as much as she was looking forward to kissing her lovely wife, she was excited to see Asami's surprise. After all… every Valentine's, Asami would present her with some costume-designed jewelry. Not just any generic jewelry though of course.

Sure, her wife presented her with gemstones every now and then but, what won Korra every single time was that they were always homemade. Hand-carved. Made by hers truly, her multi-talented wife. She honestly never understood how Asami was able to make such beautiful art with her busy schedule. That was always a wonder to her but Korra would know she would honestly love whatever Asami gave her.

It was always perfect no matter the shape or size.

When Asami finally pulled out that small box from her pocket, she opened it as if she was presenting her with a ring. When Korra finally saw what it was, she immediately swooned. It was a necklace that imbued both her own culture and Asami's. She saw the little notes of color and designs from the Southern Water Tribe before also a splash of Republic City blended in with it. Every, single, time, Asami made such beautiful work that Korra swore that she could open her own line of jewelry.

"It's so beautiful," Korra finally commented before taking it out of the box. She held it up to take a better look at it before gushing, "Seriously, how do you even make these?"

Smiling at Korra's smile, Asami just shrugged. "Beats me, I just go into my workshop and then put something together while thinking of you."

"I love it." Plastered with a big grin, Korra planted a sweet kiss on Asami's lips. "Will you do the honors?"

Asami's cheeks were rosy with love. "Of course." She then took the necklace from her wife's hands before unclasping it and leaning in to place it around Korra's neck. She brushed past her betrothal necklace before adding her gift. Once clasped, she took a step back to take a good look.

"How do I look?" Korra asked with a bashful smile.

Eyeing her carefully up and down, Asami smiled. "Beautiful," she then stepped in to kiss her cheek, "You look amazing."

Grinning with slightly tinted cheeks, Korra reached down to hold Asami's hold. "Thank you for the necklace."

Asami couldn't wipe away her smile either. "Thank you for the fruits and roses."

They giggled happily before leaning in to kiss each other's lips. It didn't take long for them to get carried away in a heated exchange. They stood there at the entrance, making out for quite some time before Asami finally pulled away from Korra's lips with a loud pop. She eyed her wife hungrily before commenting, "If you follow me to our bedroom, we can find out if I know your body as you do mine."

Korra laughed into Asami's neck before gasping playfully. "Missus Sato! Are you trying to get into my pants?"

Humming as she snaked her arms around Korra's body, Asami yanked Korra toward her. "Maybe…" she then leaned down and kissed the crevice of her ear before whispering into it. "I promise I'll do my best."

Suppressing her groan, Korra bit her lip. "You make a really compelling argument."

Asami started nipping her ear with soft yet erotic bites. "Mmh… I've had years of practice."

Gasping at that, Korra couldn't help herself. "Practice?! With who?!"

Giggling at that comment, Asami kissed her way down Korra's neck before biting her collarbone. "My lovely wife."

"Ooohhhhh, your wife huh? Well then she must be reallyyyyy lucky to have you." Korra joked as her hands wandered down Asami's thigh.

"I hope she thinks she's lucky." Asami snarked back before grabbing Korra's ass and lifting her off the floor.

Yelping slightly, Korra quickly straddled Asami's comfortable. "Trust me, I think she knows."

"Mmh, you think so?" Asami kissed her chest repeatedly before slowly making her way to the stairs.

"Mmhmmm, I know so."

"Good."

"Yeah, good."

Finally unable to sustain her serious posture, Korra finally cracked before laughing out loud. "I love you so much Asami."

Joining her laughter, Asami grinned into her neck. "I love you so much too Korra."

They didn't exchange many words afterward.

The next thing that happened was being dropped onto their mattress. After that, clothes effortlessly came off one after another and by the time they confirmed Asami knew Korra's body well enough, it was the next morning and they were cuddling closely in bed. As they slept away their fatigue, the vase of a dozen roses watched over them in their sleep. With these dozen flowers blooming away in their glory, many more roses will be added as the years pass.
