"Hey, who's the lil baby otter playing with Rockey, she looks like Mama Scruff." Rocket heard RJ ask

It was a few days laterafter Rocket's adoption of his infant-self but now, Lylla had decided to do the same but she hadn't told Rocket as Rockey needed a friend that could help him feel better knowing he didn't meet Groot until he became her furboy that she knew and loved so she was happy RJ noticed seeing Rockey had his blanket wrapped arouhd him as it made him feel safe and this new friend made him shy.

"Awwww Lyllie's safe, buddy, but I get like that too with new people and life-forms but we'll take it slow." Rocket told him putting him in the play-den he'd made so he could play safely without him having to keep an eye on him all the time, seeing Lylla feeding Lyllie which Rocket found adorable, taking Rockey to get some chow but Nebula thought Rockey having a friend was a good idea, knowing her brother wasn't great with social-skills like RJ so this was a good thing, only his Herbert would make Rockey anxious making Rocket put his paws over Rockey's ears so he couldn't hear what they were talking about and flip out.

"Weknow that my one is nice, but he doesn't know that, his was terrible to us, it's how he has that mark on his arm that I covered up so he doesn't have to be reminded of it everyday and why he can't sleep, plus my mom and dad are coming home soon along with Casey, Nebs." he toldher removing his paws from his younger-self's ears.

"Awwww dada's sorry he did that, but he didn't want you to hear things that would make you upset." he told Rockey making him smile at him and Nebula which was sweet.

He was then feeding him, makijg faces to get him to eat which Nebula was finding hilariousbut sweet knowing he was really good at this seeing Lylla nod, as Lyllie was on her back which RJ found cute and was hungry as he had to have breakfast before school making Nebula sigh.

"Just be alittle patient, as your dad's almost done feeding Rockey, we did talk about this." shesaid to him.

"I know but Rockey doesn't have to worry about school or being late." RJ replied.

"Atta good boy, let's go play while daddy feeds your big brother." Rocket said to Rockey leaving the kitchen putting him in the play-den seeing Lyllie excitedly hug him but the male-cub looked scared which Lylla understood, remembering he'd been like that in the lab.

"Lyllie, I know you wanna be his friend but like you, he went through bad things in a certain lab so go easy." she told her hearing Rockey scared making Rocket sigh, but getting a message from Casey making him freaked out needing to talk to Nebula as RJ was wondering why he was freaking out that his grabdparents were coming home.

"Rockey will freak out, once he sees Grandpa Herbie, plus I have to explain to Herbie about Rockey." he said.

"Whoa first off, take a deep-breath, Rockey will be okay like with Lyllie, he can take his time with Herbie." Lylla said.

"Yeah you've got a point, oh my Groot, he's crawling and hugging Lyllie, awww atta boy." Rocket said.

Nebula was smirking, finding this sweet even though Rockey was wearing his blanket like a cloak which made him look mysterious guessing Lyllie liked that and the female-cub had taken her mom's advice making that happy trilling sound seeing Rockey shyly smile which relieved Rocket as he was taking RJ to school but hewas hoping thijgs were alright seeing Wondergore landing by the time he got back scampering inside hearing Rockey whimpering and crying, but Lyllie hissing realising Herbert had tried to hug them but Casey was in awe alomg with Jupiter until she realised who the male-cub was.

"Whoa, everybody calm down, mom, dad let's go in the kitchen andI can explain." Rocket said.

"Awwww it's okay, the scary guy is goje but he's not that him." Nebula heard Lylla to both Lyllie and Rockey.

"Woah, I get why they freaked out but I would never do that to you, or brand you, can I see the mark on his arm, if he trusts me like you trust me." Herbert said to Rocket.

He, Jupiter and Rocket were in the kitchen having tea and scones, but Rocket was explaining to his dad and Jupiter why he'd taken Rockey which Herbert understood but was upset hearing how Rockey's him treated him, hugging Rocket unaware Lyllie saw smiling, while Rockey was with Nebula.

"Maybe but we should be gentle, he loves the blankie I made him so is never without it and wears it like a cloak." he told him.

"Awww that's okay, it helps him feel comfortable." Herbert said seeing him nod drinking tea.
