When Haisley's world stopped spinning, she took in her new surroundings. She didn't have much time to think as she realized they were in the middle of a gunfight. "Where the hell did you bring me?" she asked as she jumped back to avoid being hit.
"Not where we meant to," one of the Barrys replied.
She shook her head, "You guys are really bad at this, aren't you?"
"We'll get you out of here," the other Barry began but they were interrupted by the appearance of someone above them.
Haisley didn't notice the new player yet when she saw the Barrys faces look confused as one of the stuttered, "You … you're …"
She turned to look up at what they were gaping at. What she saw knocked the wind out of her just as a very familiar voice echoed from above.
"Yeah," he paused before adding, "I'm Batman." After introducing himself, he lept down and started fighting the men below.
Batgirl and both Flash's joined the battle.
She was having a hard time focusing on fighting as she kept getting distracted by Batman's presence. She didn't notice the bullet coming her way until it was too late. The shot only grazed her arm but it tore her suit and took out a chunk of her upper arm causing her to fall back.
She was back on her feet as Batman reached her.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice so comforting to her. He resisted the urge to pull her into his grasp as the fight was still going on around them.
Haisley nodded as she whispered, "I thought you were dead."
"So did I, kid," he replied before he rejoined the Flashs to finish off the gang.
Once the threat was eliminated, Bruce made his way back to Haisley and pulled her into his arms, "I really didn't think I'd ever see you again. Are you sure you're ok?" he repeated as he let her go, regretfully, and took a look at her arm.
"I'm perfect," she replied as she got on her tiptoes and placed her lips against his. She pulled away and glanced at the two Barrys, "These two made a mess of the multiverse and they need our help on another Earth where they unleashed General Zod on another Batman," she explained, glancing toward the young men to make sure she didn't forget anything.
"We can bring you both back to your Earth once we handle Zod, assuming we don't all die," one of the Barrys added causing Bruce to roll his eyes.
Bruce shook his head as he wrapped his arm around Haisley's waist, "I guess I'm never going to get to retire. We're in. I don't belong here and I'll do anything to get back to the life I had before Reverb did this to me," he agreed.
Haisley turned into Bruce so she could whisper, "I wish we had more time to catch up properly but it looks like we're going straight from one fight to another."
"We'll have plenty of time after whatever we're about to get mixed up with," he whispered back, "I'm not letting anything happen to either of us. I promise. I will never leave your side again."
The Flashs grabbed onto Batman and Batgirl before racing away to another Earth, hopefully, the right one this time.
