Too easy

Doan introduced me to the guild.

One didn't need much to get registered.

Just a monthly fee and a proof of ability.

The fee wasn't an issue.

The proof of ability however-

"So, I just have to hit that dummy?"

Behind the guild, was their testing area.

Every major city had a guild- and every not so major city had a small outlet.

All five had their own continental guild headquarters but the licenses were widely recognized no matter which continent.

I was in the central continent right now, full of humans and money.

And it was a wonderful day; some white clouds, lots of sunlight.

Perfect day to nap below a tree… or it would have been if I didn't have this body….

"Yes, since you're a swordswoman, it would be nice if-"

Before the instructor finished speaking, I spoke some chants and just pointing my estoc forward.

A swirl of wind- sped through an arc, shredding the wooden dummy in various places.

She had her mouth hanging for a second. "Just thrust- that was remarkable…" The instructor mumbled… ahem! "You'll be starting as F rank." I guess she was a bit startled at my abilities.

Were magic items that rare here?

"And would level up as I do more quests, right?"

"Yes. Assuming of course you do the quests good enough."

All adventurers started off at the F rank.

And I was no exception.

Back inside the guild, the instructor took me to the quest board and explained the quest system.

I could take quests from F and E ranks. And if I did 10 quests without failure, they'd allow me to rank up.

I could party up with others too-

But-

I had no such plans right now.

"I'll take this one-"

An herb collecting quest.

No matter how much you had, you could never have enough herbs.

Even if Healing magic existed, if you couldn't heal yourself than it was pointless.

[Collect ten Hepikute herbs; 10 Large Coppers]

"Oh, that one. Feel free to collect extra if you find some."

This guild was just an outlet.

A small building with maybe twenty or so adventurers.

So, they were quite needy of the new adventurers.

"And the guild will pay me extra?"

"Yes, every extra herb would get you 1 small copper."

"Think I'll just sell the herbs to some apothecary if that's the case."

The instructor smiled a bit, slightly strained. "Sorry, I meant large copper."

"One Large and one small." I grinned.

The instructor's smile crumbled- "If you can get me ten extra herbs, I'll give you 2 extra small copper alongside 10 large copper, nothing more!" And she got a bit excited too.

A snicker. "Sure."

Despite how it turned out, I was still going to get a profit from this, so why not?

Doan and his party had set out on a hunt.

So, I didn't see him when I came out of the guild.

There was a hill nearby- and I was going to get herbs there- or so I'd been told at the guild.

But I knew that wasn't quite it.

After all, I'd done some digging myself.

There were definitely herbs on that hill, but not nearly enough.

And people went there on a regular basis.

So-

Instead, my focus was the small forest just on the opposite side of the city.

Not many people went inside that forest since it was filled with C rank monsters.

But such monsters weren't a threat to me-

And so-

With a big wide grin- and my head held high- I slowly but surely marched for the other side of the city.

And promptly got stopped by the guards.

"Miss, you're not supposed to be here-"

The monsters in the forest never tried coming out of there- so the city wasn't in much of a threat.

But people weren't eager on taking chances, so they built a big tall wall anyway.

"I'm an adventurer and I'm sure I'm where I want to be."

Two guards.

One tall, big and one slightly scrawny.

Judging by how they were blushing, both were probably in their mid-twenties; not that experienced.

The scrawny one from time to time stared at my exposed thighs and when our eyes met jerked away- blushing even more.

How cute.

"But mam-" The big muscular guard on the other hand was a bit tougher. He didn't stare at my thighs nor my chest, just my eyes. And maybe my ears. "We can't let you-"

There weren't many people here.

And most never used this gate-

Mostly because of monsters but also because it was inconvenient. Even adventurers didn't take this gate because it was dangerous.

So of course, they were a bit wary and maybe even worried about letting a beautiful elf outside.

"Please?" I went closer. "I wouldn't mind if you visited me tonight to make make sure if I'm okay…" I whispered.

"Bribery won't get you anywhere!" Face flushed-

A sweet smile. I grabbed his arm, pressed my chest- made sure he got a whiff of my scent-"Pretty please?" A blow at his ear, almost biting it-

He twitched a step back- turning around frantically to hide that boner. "I-it can't be helped!" Ahem! "Open the gates!"

'Too easy…'
