Monday, 4 September 2017, Luna Nova
Akko's journey was already very arduous even before she started studying in Luna Nova, going through a life where no one wanted to interact with her and everything else, in this she was even managing to know how to deal somehow, even showing that she would be worthy of going to the end of her journey, one day finding Chariot and for this she even got her admission letter to study in Luna Nova, where things will really start for Kagari.
POV Akko:
I was dying of anxiety already, I woke up and I see beside me the girls arranging the books, in the last two days I've spent just organizing the room and leaving everything more separated, I can't wait to see how the first magic classes will be, I go to Lotte and make sure to ask what she was doing. Sucy, on the other hand, seemed to be concentrating on fiddling with that feather she got from the cockatrice we'd been killing ourselves to get a few days ago.
"Akko you haven't changed yet? The classes will start soon" Yanson said and with that I even jumped in excitement and quickly went to get my uniform, I went into the bathroom, putting on each piece of clothing.
After changing...
"Yay! Now I'm ready for school" I say excitedly.
"Akko this is the ceremonial uniform, we don't wear it during classes, you have to wear the uniform I'm wearing" Lotte said and I felt silly now, I took my clothes again and went to change.
Now in the right uniform...
"There! Now I'm ready for class!" I say all excited and the two girls make signs with their thumbs starting to organize the books.
"We can't be late for class, or we might even risk being expelled because of it" Lotte said.
"Oh for magic classes I'll never be late, for sure they're much cooler than any class I've ever had, I'll never see algebra again in my life... Just remembering makes me want to sleep" I answer her all delighted with the classes.
I go waiting for them, then I also get the same books they got from the classes, apparently we'll have a class on magic language, magic Potion and finally magic numerology, kinda weird this numerology thing, but it shouldn't be worse than having maths classes, how is this going to apply to magic? I don't know hahaha, and I don't even want to know.
POV Narrator:
Akko was heading towards her first class super excited, ready to go do what witches do, without even having any idea of how these classes are constituted, at the same time in another place of Luna Nova, in the board of directors, the teachers are discussing among themselves how they are going to start another year of studies in the academy of witchcraft Luna Nova, only that one of the teachers is a bit clumsy, yawning and dropping her wand.
"Oh sorry" said the blue-haired woman.
"Behave yourself, how do you intend to show our students some discipline Ursula, we have to show severity and look like someone of class" Said the other teacher with bound hair, who showed she was a bit older.
"Sorry, I was just a bit sleepy, I didn't have a very good night" Ursula said.
"Well, that's all I wanted to say about your year, you are free to teach, but remember to keep your composure, good witches are those who had good teachers" said the headmistress, a lady who even showed a certain friendly appearance.
From there they leave the directorate, walking through the corridors towards the classroom, where the older teacher with her hair tied back is talking to Ursula, mainly about the new student that has just appeared.
"Tell me Ursula, what did you intend with that student? What is your plan? You know you are going to tutor a mundane" said the lady.
"Finnelan, I just want a mundane girl to have a chance, among many others who didn't, one day we were all mundane, don't forget, anyway I want to give a better image of acceptance to Luna Nova, we look archaic like this" said the young woman.

The two eventually split up and on the way to the blue haired one sees the Japanese woman passing through the corridors, where she tries to wave, but stumbles over one of the employees ending up even leaving a little unnoticed.
POV Akko:
What a dull little place, I thought this was more like, I don't know, amazing and magical, full of creatures on one side or the other, where magic flows everywhere, but it's just an old and dull building, it's not like anime or even a witch series, it's not those magical stairs, it's just a normal school, but I won't stop cheering.
During the lesson...
These classes are really boring, it's like normal school, but there's this thing of using magic to move the chalk around the blackboard, it's very different just in that and this teacher emanates the energy of a boring old woman, the kind that will correct you for every little mistake you make, the kind that keeps asking for labels, I'm just really floatin' on every word without understanding anything, I only see a girl in front of me raising her hand, I even get a little weird... I've seen hair like this before, or is it just me.
"Blessed is the one who leaves this stone untouched that misfortune may fall on those who move it" said the girl in a voice that was even wow... She speaks in an even too formal way.
"Explendid Diana Cavendish, since I started teaching, you were the only student who could read" Said the old teacher, ah now I remembered it's magical language class I had no idea what it was... I think this girl must be the favorite of the whole class, the nerdy one.
"I knew you'd make it" Said one of her friends and I realise she's one of the Friday snobs, ahhh don't tell me she's part of the snobs too.
In the next Lesson...
Magic potions, what a boring thing too, where are the wands, where are the spell recitals, moving objects, turning frogs into horses, where are those things? It's all a normal class, but with witchcraft, and I don't understand any of this, this one is the scary teacher, she is a sadist, just like Sucy, very different from the other one, I feel even more afraid in the presence of the one from the first class, I admit, this one looks like a sadist.
"The more you stir, the more the colour changes, then we add a live frog to the cauldron and it has to be placed in the still cold water to make the point" The teacher spoke and the smoke increased.

No, it can't be, I can't believe that all the effort my mum and I made to adapt in Luna Nova and learn fast to get here was all down the drain, this place is a drag and I can't even communicate with her because this place has rules that are against technology, seriously, this place is a prison that's for sure, I feel like I was cheated, we were in the cafeteria at least, eating something and the food here also looks very prison like I would say, eca, but you can eat.
"It's very different from what I imagined, I can't believe Chariot studied in this crap" I say both.
- Nae one here accepts Chariot magic, it is a sacrilege to the reputation of witches, so little in our school, we have traditions to follow here, ah you must be the Lass Kagari I've heard so much about" I turn my face and see it was that snob from before, she looks much more than I thought.

"Oh it looks fake, the real "Shiny Rod" is nae called that, you are already showing more of how this witch cuts witch traditions, the Claiomh Solais is an important staff that only a chosen witch could wield it, Chariot lass has made an appropriation of the real staff and taken away all its meaning" She said and I honestly wanted to fly in her face.

"Come on Diana, are you really going to let her lower your morals, that muggle girl?" said the red-haired one.
"Aye ok, let's make it short, ok, why do you insist so much, magic is nae something to show off to each other" she said, and I can respect that, she's not someone who thinks she's so good.
In the Patio in front of the statue...

"I already said and I will say, dinnae matter for me if you are mundane lassie or a traditional witch lassie, if you want to be a witch you have to strive for it, do it right, don't keep ridiculing thousands of years of traditions, that's how a witch has to behave, if you just want to be a teenage girl going on the thrill, far you won't go and unfortunately that's reality Akko, this here is not a fantasy, I understand your side of being a dreamer, but you won't go far just dreaming of being a witch, study and dedicate yourself to it, the idea of a mundane witch to me is nae absurd, many of us started mundane, but do it for real" She said looking like an old woman giving me a sermon, honestly I'm already getting sick of all this, I just huffed and left with Lotte and Sucy, not even for them to mention that the staff worked for them.
A while later in an outlying part of Luna Nova...
I felt a bit humiliated today, but then I went with Lotte and Sucy where we talked about Chariot's letters and here there is no presence of Diana and the others to talk about what I like, I honestly don't know why so much bitterness with these things, I was just showing what I like, is there something wrong with that? And what did Chariot do? Well anyway it's less worse now.

POV Diana:
Wow, what was that girl earlier, I really feel worried for her, I dinnae feel that she is a pathetic lassie, she really does things in good faith, it even gets me a little bit seeing her going through this and even tolerating it, I would say that in this she is very strong.
Well let's see what headmistress Holbrook wants so much with me now, she called me to the memorial of the great witch Jennifer, when I arrive there I see that she was there with teacher Finnelan and also with teacher Ursula.

"There were parasites in the root, that's why the tree got sick, now move away, I need space to clean these things, my spell nurtured these parasites now I have to get rid of them, Murowa!" I fire a spell at one of them and the thing explodes, now it's a matter of continuing to do so.
I keep shooting, getting rid of the ones that seemed to be bigger, what a disgrace it was to happen to the Jennifer memorial, parasites sucking nutrients from one of Luna Nova's most important trees!
"Wait Diana!" Said Akko who stood in front of me.
"By Beatrix Akko, get out of my way, this is important dinnae you see" I tell her who stayed still in front.
"I'm not going out!" Besides, she's stubborn.
I decide to aim for the other side and shoot, but she just jumps and takes a Murowa instead, what a stupid girl, Holy Beatrix Lesbian, what did this girl go and do, she could have died, I'm nae using a spell to take lightly, it's a strong Murowa, made to exterminate these parasites.
"Akko!" shouts a desperate lotte going towards her who was lying on the ground, I get really worried and she fell down along with her cards that were scattered, how far a fixation can go isn't it.
"A'm sorry girls, ah dinnae mean tae... Hurt thare" I say half shuffling with my Scottish accent, which I keep holding myself back from using the worry has taken such a toll on me that formality was the least of the problems.
"It was with everything huh, hit it hard Diana" Sucy said and I just got a kind of serious expression really worried about Akko.
"Papilloidia, they are the chrysalises of Papilloidia" Akko said half-weakened, as Lotte picked up a card.
"That one here?" Said Lotte showing Akko, who knew it could make a sense, those Chariot cards.
"aye you're right, The Papilloidia, only born every 120 years, is a magical butterfly that gives hope to the beholder" Worse that's true, now I remember it exists, but here at Jennifer's memorial? Well anyway Akko's staff is glowing, so this replica really was well done.
"Akko uses her magic" Yanson said and she goes to stand up.
"All right! I'll do it, but what's the spell" she asks and I know the answer.
"It's Papilliofilio Ninfodia" I help her.
"Papilloidia that flies to the five continents, spread your wings, magic butterfly flies to hope, Papilliofilio Ninfodia!" She is good at it I would say, she just needs to dedicate herself more, she did it just like Shiny Chariot did, her staff is shining and the chrysalises are opening, cracking, after lighting up the butterflies come out.
"Woah akko, ye did it" I say impressed to her.
"Well, now I'm going back, I don't want to get into any more trouble, your friends might show up "she said, leaving the place until now I can respect her a little more.
I am simply amazed at the landscape around me, the brightness of the chrysalises, it is like a miracle, how could I nae notice all this time that the parasites were actually Papilloidia chrysalises, maybe it is because I dinnae see one so often or because they only appear every 120 years, this is a miracle I am witnessing.
A while later...
I dinnae even realize that the girls would arrive, I think they will soon arrive with the headmaster and teacher Finnelan, I can't wait to tell them the miracle that happened, what really happened here, I think it's nae something you see every day.
Soon they arrived, the teacher was all proud.
"The memorial!" she exclaims.
"Magnificent" said the director.
"Diana, you didn't even to show us the amazing spell you did" Hannah said.
"It's really Diana, we missed the best part trying to find the teacher and the headmistress" said Barbara.
"But I dinnae do that" I tell them and they all get a bit dubious.
"Ah Diana, hahaha, come on girl of course you didn't do that, it was the Papilloidia chrysalises that blossomed on their own" said the director.
"I'm serious, fowk, who did all this was Akko, she who recited the spell using the replica of Claiomh Solais" I say to all of them and at that moment Hannah and Barbara start laughing and I was getting a little bit unfunny.
"Ah Diana, you can tell jokes too" England said laughing and I'm nae lying, that's true, but she dinnae seem to believe it.
"It's serious fowk, she showed up here, I'm telling you" I tell them, but it seems that my word has become worthless.
"Oh Diana, I know you want to lighten the mood here, lately Luna Nova has been very tense, it's nice to see that the Cavendish girls are also capable of putting on a good mood once in a while"

I look at the landscape and still see some butterfly remains still flying, I think that in the end this Akko lassie is nae someone so bad, maybe she can have a chance here, but I also have tae admit that it will nae be easy at all... What a humiliation to have tae be credited for something I dinnae even do.
"Our Diana cheers up a bit, you have received legendary credit for what happened in Luna Nova, it will make your resume enviable, you are the only one in 120 years to have the title of miracle of Papilloidia" Barbara said.
"This title should nae come to me, you dinnae really see what happened, I was nae making jokes, but you just prefer nae tae listen tae me" I tell them.
"Even if it is true what you say, why leave a legendary title with Akko, seriously, she will be expelled in a matter of time Diana, that girl is a dead weight in this academy of witchcraft, they only let her in here because they are desperate for money" Hannah said.
"Akko is a scholarship student, she doesn't pay the same as we do every month tae stay here, she definitely has something tae reveal, it's very suspicious that a girl like her would have been a student among us, dinnae you think? Especially since she doesn't pay tae stay here" I tell them and they both simply shrug their shoulders.
"I don't know, she won't last long, maybe that's why she's a scholarship student, for now we can have fun with her presence trying to do some spells, I can't wait to see how things will unfold"
"How awful Hannah, let's nae treat her like that either, Akko might be a bit out of it, but it's very suspicious, even too suspicious the way this lassie is here, the spell she did, it might be an ordeal even for us, I'm sure something will still happen and it's because of this girl being here" I tell them who were simply laughing and I just took a deep breath.
POV Narrator:
And so it was the first day of class at Luna Nova, breaking Akko's expectations and not only that but also bringing her another challenge that was this prodigy student who showed that the hole was much deeper and that it is a long staircase that will be climbed to achieve this mission of becoming a witch of respect and also reach Chariot.
