Prompt: Vampire and/or werewolf AU
It took a while for Shinichi to learn that his boyfriend, Heiji, was a werewolf. Apparently, Heiji also didn't know.
During a case, the culprit had tried to run away. When Heiji caught up with him, the culprit bit him. It had seemed fine, even though the wound was taking longer than usual to heal. They all thought it would be okay.
Until the next full moon, when Heiji turned into a werewolf.
Shinichi found him the next morning, unconscious in a forest with no clothes on; probably destroyed during the transformation. Sighing, he threw a robe onto Heiji. "Wake up," he said.
Heiji didn't wake up. Shinichi opened his bottle of water and splashed Heiji with it. Finally, the Osakan detective awoke.
"Wha… wha happened?" he asked once he finally got his bearings back.
Shinichi sighed. "I don't even know. You just… turned into a werewolf. I thought those things weren't real."
"Same," Heiji grumbled, slowly putting on the robe. "How do we deal with this?"
"Don't ask me," Shinichi sighed again. "Hakuba says he has a friend who claims to be a witch. Ask him to ask her."
Heiji groaned. "Hakuba?" He suddenly froze. "Wait, I didn't injure anyone, right?"
"No blood on you," Shinichi noted. "You should be fine."
Yet he still worried. Not so much about the part where the supernatural was real - that was a worry for later - but he worried about the fact that his boyfriend was now a werewolf, and neither of them knew for sure what they could do about it.
