NOTES: I was thinking about this story, so I decided to write it.

Nine months after Maggie joined the month Thomas police. She was making a few friends as well as getting to know the people from town and her work colleagues. When she moved into her cottage it happened three months earlier.
She was starting to see Sean Neale who was a copper from St Davids for a few weeks, till his arrest because of betting on horses and other activities which caused him and Maggie to break up.
When PJ notices how upset she has been, he tries to cheer her up which has work. So he decided to do something romantic and secretive by sending her flowers on valentines day.
He was down in Melbourne spending the day with his mum when he walked into the florist shop to make the order and paid for it before meeting up with his mum.
On Valentine's Day Maggie was getting ready for work when there was a knock on her front door, so she went to see who it was. when she open the door.
"Can I help you?" Maggie said.
"Yes, are you Maggie doyle"
"Yes I am" the delivery guy looked up from his clipboard to be shocked to see it was a police woman then he saw her name tag then looked up to her face.
"Ah, a delivery for you, can you please sign here" he passed her a pen and pointed to where she signed the paper. "Thanks, i'll be back"
Maggie watches the guy return to the van , then return holding a large bouquet of red and yellow roses. "Here you go ma'am happy valentines day"
"Ah, thank you," Maggie said in shock.
She stepped back, closing the door and returning into her kitchen where she got a vase from the cupboard. It was what PJ got for her for Christmas the year before. She filled it with water then put the roses into the water. she spotted the card and picked it up and opened it and pulled the note out.
'Maggie, happy Valentine's Day. I hope these roses will make your day brighter. I love you and one day you will hear those words from me in person.'
"I wonder who they are from," Maggie said.
When Maggie walked into the station she said her mornings to the others. "Your in a good mood this morning Maggie, had a date last night?" Wayne said with a smile.
"Nope, i was home alone last night"
"Then why are you in a good mood?" Nick asked from his desk.
"someone sent me roses, they were delivered this morning"
"Ah, what, roses, so who is the lucky guy and why today?" Wayne asked.
"Wayne you haven't chance at all, i feel sorry for Roz"
"What do you mean?" Wayne asked.
"It's february the fourteenth, valentines day, the day you send your loved ones roses, chocolates young Patterson" nick said.
"That today, oh man" he got up and picked his hat up and ran out the took the patrol keys with him.
"sounds like someone got a lot of groverling to do." PJ said from the doorway.
"True, so doyle any idea who sent you roses" nick asked. Maggie look at them and saw Tom walking in
"Morning all and what about roses?"
"Our young Maggie Doyle here, someone sent her roses this morning. but doesn't know who they are from"
"Wasn't there a note"
"Yes, but it doesn't say who it is from. But who ever it is knows that i've been through a rough patch in the past few months"
"What did the note say because whoever it is, might be stalking you" Tom said in a worried tone.
"It said….'Maggie, happy Valentine's Day. I hope these roses will make your day brighter. I love you and one day you will hear these words from me in person'. that it"
"Was it red roses?" Nick asked.
"Yes and yellow"
"Ah friendship and love. doyle be careful just incase it's a stalker"
"i will boss"
"where patterson"
"Oh he for got what today is, he gone to gets some flowers for Roz"
"We didn't do that back in my day. all i did was take Neil out to a nice quiet dinner"
"and you brought her a single rose and got her a box of her favorite chocolates." Maggie said smiling.
"how did you know"
"dad"
"Ah Tom Croydon the romantic"
"thanks a lot Schultz, shouldn't you be out on patrol"
"i'm on my way" Nick stood up and picked up his hat and papers before walking out of the station taking keys with him.
Tom shook his head at Maggie before walking into his office. Maggie looks at PJ and smiles at him, as he gives one in return before returning back to his desk and paperwork.
Maggie thought about the note and the reaction on PJ's face when she said it out loud and how she didn't get any reaction from him. She then realized that the roses were from PJ. She stood up and walked to his open office door and knocked on it.
"Doyle, what can I do for you?"
"got anything plan tonight besides paper work"
"Ah no why"
"Want to come around for dinner" PJ looked at her in shock.
"you know what the boss"
"i'm asking you around for dinner"
"Ah, ok, how about…. seven"
"Sure, see you then" she smiled, turned around then turned back and looked at PJ.
"Happy valentines day. Thank you for the roses, they are beautiful" she smiled and turned around walking out of PJ's office noticing PJ was smiling.
"I love you. Happy valentines Mags." Maggie heard him as she return back to her desk smiling.
