The Only Valentine Worthy Of Her Heart

Roller Brawl groaned in frustration as she tried the door again, but it was locked. "Ugh! How do I get out?" She asked herself.

She had been walking through one of the fields a bit aways from the Academy to think about what to give Blaze as a Valentine's Day gift. She had been so deep in thought she hadn't noticed she was being followed and when she had looked up to see an old castle in front of her that appeared abandoned, she went inside, scouting cautiously for enemies.

Well, she had found an enemy alright. Kaos, to be exact.

"Oh, Roller Brawl! I know you're here, my love!"

Speaking of the little pipsqueak, he had been trying to woo Roller Brawl for the past half hour on what she noticed now to be a stage, like one for live plays and Kaos was certainly dressed the part of a nobleman. "Oh, my love! Why hideth from me?" Kaos asked in a very sweet voice that made Roller want to be sick to her stomach. "Is thou too shy to admit thy love?"

"Ugh, does he ever give up?" She asked herself in exasperation as she ran to hide again.

What made this worse was that there was an audience of Greebles and Trolls who were cheering Kaos on, except for Glumshanks, who was fearfully watching the door as he knew in any moment, Blaze would be storming in with swords aflame.

"Think he'll win her affections?" One Troll asked.

"Don't know, but I've heard some girls like romance stuff like this," another Troll said.

Glumshanks saw Kaos go after Roller Brawl. "Oh, my love!" He called out in a sweet voice. "No need to be shy with your love, my dear."

"I'm not in love with you!" Roller Brawl snarled. "You disgust me!"

"Oh, you're just being shy," Kaos insisted.

The vampire skater snarled again and hid once more. She suddenly felt a hand clap gently over her mouth. "Shh, it's me," she heard and turned to find Glumshanks behind her. "Follow me."

He turned and she let him guide her to a part of the stage that was well hidden and he gestured to it. "He won't find you here," he said. "I'll see if I can get a message to Blaze."

"Please do, Glumshanks," Roller Brawl begged. "I'm not sure how much more I can take of this stupid plan Kaos thinks will work on me."

He nodded and headed out, going to the massive portal nearby and, hoping his master was distracted, he set the coordinates for the Academy and jumped into the glowing light.

Rachel jumped in alarm and pulled out a scythe much like Hood Sickle's as she saw someone appearing suddenly. Manga Charge, Ambush, and Grim Creeper were beside her and ready until they saw it was Glumshanks and he looked over at them nervously. "Um, I know this is short notice, but...is Blaze around?" He asked.

Rachel blinked before realization hit her. "Let me guess. Kaos is trying to convince Roller Brawl to be his," she said.

Glumshanks nodded. "Though he is not succeeding," he said. "And she's hiding, but...Lord Kaos won't give up."

"Then we'll give him a reason to," Ambush said. "I'll go find Blaze."

Magna Charge looked at the troll before them. "Where are they?" He asked.

"In a field aways from here, in an abandoned castle," the troll replied. "And uh, Kaos is enacting a play while Greebles and Trolls watching."

Rachel blinked. "A play?" She asked. "As in, a live-action play?"

He nodded and Dr. Krankcase, having come in just in time to hear the conversation, came up to them. "I know what castle he's talking about," he said. "It was once a theater before a storm tore most of it apart."

"Which means Roller Brawl could be in danger," Grim Creeper said.

Ambush and Blaze arrived in time to hear that. "My wife is in danger?" Blaze asked with a growl.

Glumshanks nodded. "Lord Kaos is trying to woo her again, but she can't escape where she is," he said. "Lord Kaos made it so that only I or him could use the Portal at the castle."

Master Eon appeared. "But that doesn't mean I can't teleport you all inside," he said.

"Please and thank you, Master Eon," Rachel said before looking at the others. "Okay, gang. Blaze, you rescue your wife. The rest of us will handle the Greebles and Trolls, minus Glumshanks."

"Let's go then," Blaze said, his swords ready.

An instant later, a white light surrounded them and they braced themselves for what awaited them.

At the castle, Roller Brawl was still hiding from Kaos, who hadn't given up yet. "Come on, Roller Brawl," he cooed sweetly. "What does that Poser Master have that I don't have?"

Roller gritted her teeth angrily, but the next lines from Kaos made her blood boil.

"Can't you just throw away your rings and just abandon the mistakes you made?"

Oh, if she was mad before, she was now ready to spit fire. "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" She yelled in anger.

"I second that!" A familiar voice echoed through the castle, one that made Roller Brawl's heart surge with love.

"WHAT?!" Kaos exclaimed in shock.

With a yell that shook the walls, Rachel landed and swung her scythe, scattering Greebles run left and right as she spun around, Grim Creeper beside her and helping her out while Ambush and Magna Charge made the Trolls retreat.

Blaze ran up to Kaos and punched him hard, making him fly up to the ceiling. "Back off, Kaos!" He snarled.

Roller quickly left her hiding spot and got up to the stage. "My flaming fire!" She exclaimed, running up to her husband with open arms.

The Fire/Undead/Water Portal Master put away his swords and caught his wife as she jumped into his arms. "My lovely rose, are you okay?" He asked.

"I am now that you're here," she said, kissing him deeply. "Please rescue me from that creep?"

"With pleasure," he said, picking her up and holding her bridal style in his arms as she wrapped her arms around his neck and gazed at him lovingly.

Kaos saw them and he looked furious. "Roller Brawl, please!" He pleaded, on his knees with his hands clasped in front of him. "Be with me! I can give all you desire!"

She glared at him. "I already have all that I want," she said before looking at Blaze with a smile. "A man that loves me for who I am and who treats me like a queen and is the father of my children." She kissed Blaze happily before glaring at Kaos. "On top of all that, Blaze is the only Valentine worthy of my heart!"

But Kaos wouldn't accept that. "Please!" He pleaded with her, looking at her pleadingly.

Scoffing and rolling her eyes, Roller Brawl gently tapped Blaze's shoulder. "Can you set me down, honey?" He asked.

Though curious, Blaze set her down on her feet and the vampire skater walked up to Kaos, who stood up eagerly and opened his arms to accept her, a look of love on his face.

A look that turned into pain as Roller Brawl kicked him where it hurt the most and sent him flying out of the castle. Rachel watched as the creep flew back and landed with an echoing 'THUD' back at his own castle and the walls shook and crumbled a bit, making her laugh before she went back into the old castle. "Well, I think Kaos will be dealing with a bruised pride for a while," she said. "At least, I hope so."

The Skylanders laughed before Roller Brawl smirked and walked back up to her husband, who gave her a surprised look before smiling lovingly at her. "Did I ever tell you that I think you're absolutely the best ever?" He asked.

She giggled. "Oh, you sweet talker," she said before wrapping her arms around his neck. "Now, where were we?"

He picked her up, still smiling. "I believe I was about to take you out on a date for Valentine's Day," he said.

Rachel smiled and looked at her husband-to-be, who nodded. "We'll watch the girls," the Ultron said to Blaze and Roller Brawl.

"Thank you," the vampire skater said before looking at her husband. "Shall we, my flaming fire?"

"Your wish is my command, my lovely rose," he said.

"Here," Glumshanks said, gesturing to the Portal. "I fixed it."

Roller Brawl turned to him. "Thank you, Glumshanks," she said politely before she and Blaze vanished into the light and Rachel and her partners did the same.

The vampire skater giggled as Blaze carried her to her favorite restaurant and they were soon enjoying a lovely dinner. "You're the best, Blaze," she said before slipping something to him. He smiled and looked to see it was a potion. "It's made to make your powers stronger for a few minutes," she explained. "Can come in handy in battle."

He smiled at her thoughtfulness. "You're amazing, my love," he said, kissing her before slipping something around her neck and she looked to see it was a gold heart necklace and she smiled up at her husband as he smiled back at her. "Happy Valentine's Day, my lovely rose."

"Happy Valentine's Day, my flaming fire," she said to him.

Back at the Academy, Rachel and Magna Charge were watching over their nieces, along with their own two children. "Mommy and Daddy showed that stinky meanie that he can't win Mommy's heart because Daddy already won her heart, right, Auntie?" Flare asked.

"That's right, sweetie," the Tech/Fire Portal Master said with a smile.

Magna Charge came into the room. "Who wants popcorn with chocolate and a few Disney films?" He asked.

"Yay!" The girls cheers and Speedlight nodded before helping his mother feed the three babies while the other girls settled down and Rachel smiled at her husband-to-be, who smiled back at her as the day continued while Kaos was still nursing a wounded pride back at his ruined castle.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
