A/N: [February 14, 2023] This fic is a sequel to My Lovely Abductor. If you have not read it, I highly recommend you do.
As MLA was intended to be a one-shot, I have no idea where this story will go, the length, or regularity of updates. However, because I adore this community and the majority of MLA reviewers have asked for a continuation, here we are. I hope the sequel will help to fill in some of the blanks and also satisfy your steamy needs, if that's what you're after.
I am horrible at proofreading my own work so please let me know if you find grammatical errors. Don't forget to leave a review to let me know what you think!
Happy Valentine's Day!

CHAPTER ONE
Escape
They're after me.
The sound of her own heavy breathing was too loud. The pounding of her heart against her chest so violent, she swore it would burst through its cage and plant itself into the snowy landscape she was currently navigating.
Skeletal branches snagged at her long dark locks and nicked her creamy light skin as she carelessly slipped past, chased by invisible demons. Or to be more accurate, pursued by relentless mole hounds, starved and pulling at the strained leashes tethered to their masters.
In the stillness of dusk, a long howl split the air- much closer than she expected.
She pushed herself harder, until the frozen forest air felt like fire in her lungs. The muscles in her thighs and calves burned from their brutal pace. A nasty tumble to the ground left the base of her hooded cloak wet and clinging to her legs. The palms of her dirtied hands stung from grazing the bark of surrounding evergreens during her frenzied retreat.
It was all to no avail.
Without seeing, she knew her trackers were gaining. She could spare no chakra, but she could faintly hear massive paws trudging through the thick blanket of snow, conjuring up images of hulking, black hounds sniffing the atmosphere with their star shaped noses, the fleshy tendrils flexing and yearning after her trail. Long protruding fangs, drenched in saliva with excitement of the hunt. Bereft of sight, their remaining four senses were sufficiently deadly.
Tears stung her dry eyes and clouded her vision as regret stabbed at her consciousness. Recent memories flashed through her mind.
Shino lying face down in the snow.
Kiba unconscious in a pool of his own blood.
She had been wrong, her decision hasty, and now her friends would pay dearly for her recklessness.
There was no destination. Only pure terror that spurred her on. It filled her veins, making her forget about the minor scrapes and bruises she'd sustained. Telling her to get as far away from this nightmare as possible.
But she was losing momentum. Her movements becoming clumsier with every step. Her awareness less acute. Her drive to avoid capture dwindling in favor of rest.
Shadows grew long. The hazy blues turning to deeper lavender shades as the sun descended.
Her skin prickled as the eerie feeling of being watched crept over her, like a sharp claw slowly dragging up her spine. She noticed the sudden lack of sounds from her pursuers and her sense of direction was gone.
Unable to process what was happening she stopped fleeing. She looked straight ahead, glanced right and left, and turned around. Every which way she looked it all appeared the same. The same trees, the same fallen branches, the same snow laden paths.
Paranoia seeped into the marrow of her bones and she tried to force chakra to her eyes to ignite her hereditary trait- but her byakugan failed.
For a beating second, glowing crimson eyes filled her vision.
Fear bolted through her. She gasped sharply. Despite her frazzled nerves, she mechanically dropped into the Hyuuga fighting stance, eyes darting, seeking the source of the threat.
Black crows fluttered away from branches, screeching their displeasure while taking flight to the skies.
A velvety deep timbre echoed within the chambers of her mind.
'Did you really think, you could escape from me?'
Spinning on her heel, she was met with the red-tinged gaze from her dreams, directly in front of her. She willingly gave in to the sweet embrace of dark slumber.
