It was a normal day at S.T.A.R labs when everything went down. Barry had a great day at work. He didn't have to solve any murders and he had caught three bank robbers on his way to S.T.A.R labs. As he walked in, he threw an apple at Caitlin, some twizzlers at Cisco, and a tuna sandwich at Dr. Wells.
"Is it just me or is fast feet happy today?" Cisco asked with a curious tone. Caitlin just shook her head with a smile as she got back to reading her book. "Cisco does have a point. What made you so happy today Mr. Allen?" Harrison asked, with a matching look of curiosity.
"I just woke up happy! What's wrong with that?" Barry asked with a smile. Caitlin just gave him a smile before talking to the other two, "Leave him alone. He is allowed to be happy because he can every once in a while," Barry walked past Caitlin fist bumping her before sitting down in a chair.
"I did get a strange sense of Deja vu though. I was reading a comic about Spider-man, right? Peter Parker? And he looked familiar, like I had seen him before." Barry spoke, his tone unreadable. Caitlin was the first to address this issue, "I'm sure it's probably just from a Tv-Show or something," Barry just gave a shrug before he started pulling at the collar of his shirt.
"Is it hot in here or is it just me?" Barry asked, suddenly finding a heavy wave of emotions flooding over himself. "Barr, you good?" Cisco asked, with concern filling his voice. Barry didn't answer as he let the tear that formed from nothing fall down his cheek.
That is when it hit him. He felt a snap. Lightning clouded over his eyes for a minute before they went back to normal. That's when the alerts went off around them. Signaling that there was a heavy signal of positive tachyons like Barry's.
"I have to go," Was all they heard before Barry was gone in a flash.
Barry ran as fast as he could to jump into the speed force. He didn't even know where he was going; he just followed the speed force. After what seemed like forever, he then jumped out of the speed force picking up a boy and jumped back in.
Soon enough he was back in S.T.A.R labs looking down at the kid with brown curly hair and eyes big like Bambi. They looked shockingly alike. The kid immediately stood up and began walking back into a corner as he saw everyone looking at him.
"How did I get here?!" They kid asked, voice filled with confusion but also terror. Barry looked at the kid and looked back at Harrison. "My name is Barry Allen-" Before he could finish his sentence the kid interrupted him. "Right, it's time for you to stop pulling my leg. Really? Barry Allen? As in the Flash? You really think that I'm going to buy that?" The kid asked, with a bored tone.
Barry looked at him with curiosity. "How did you know?" Before he could answer, the kid made a break for it. He managed to run past Barry and start running through the halls of S.T.A.R labs. Barry just huffed before he ran after the kid, but surprisingly enough the kid managed to dodge his attempts at grabbing him.
Caitlin walked out with her eyes a frosty blue and she sent some ice at the kid's direction. The kid just yelped before jumping on the roof of the halls and started to run over way.
Cisco saw this and gasped. "NO WAY! HE CAN RUN ON THE CEILING?!" Barry only managed to get him down and subdue him, not before he managed to- web? Caitlin up.
"What is your name and how do you know I'm the Flash?" Barry asked, voice dangerously low. Peter seemed to panic at this as he started to spill the beans.
"My name is Peter Parker. I'm 18 and I just graduated from Midtown High School in Queens, New York. My uncle, my aunt, and my parents are dead. I know who you are from the comics you know? I swear I mean no harm! Please, I didn't do anything wrong. I have no ties to bad guys you might want. I'm just an orphan." Peter said fast and that's when it hit Barry. "You're Spider-man?" He asked, his voice a whisper. Peter barely managed to get out a head nod before he whimpered slightly.
"I swear I have no clue what's happening! All I know is I was playing a song that I wrote for my dead aunt at a school function and then I felt something buzzing and you came and took me. Please don't hurt me," Peter said, voice wavering as he looked up at Barry with the same Scared and Sad eyes that his mother had shown on the night she died.
Barry let the boy go and hugged him. "I didn't mean to hurt you. It was just the only way to keep you from running. Do you by any chance know about the Multiverse?" Barry asked, looking down at the blob of brown hair that was resting on his chest as Peter hugged him.
Peter gave a nod and then spoke up. "You're from another Universe, aren't you?" He asked. Barry spoke up again not even noticing the others staring contently at the two. "By my guess, yes. And I think that there it's a lot of stuff missing from this-"
"Novella?"
"Yeah, how did you know I was going to say that?" Barry asked. Peter let go of Barry before looking up shyly through the brown mop of messy curls on his forehead. "It's what my mom used to call stories. She used to say the words story was too boring-"
They both spoke in sync. "An interesting story needs an interesting name,"
Barry looked at him and then looked up at Caitlin nodding. Before Peter knew it, he was cuffed in meta-dampening cuffs. Peter looked up scared and starts pulling at the cuffs. Once noticing that they weren't breaking he looked up at Barry with a look of terror. Then Cisco made a portal underneath him making him fall into one of the meta-dampening cells.
Peter starts slowly tearing up as he starts to bang on the glass begging to be let out. Cisco nods at Caitlin before looking at Barry. Barry just nods before walking over to Caitlin to help her with the DNA test.
Barry thought it was a little weird that someone from another universe knew the same things that his mother had taught him. Not to mention that the resemblance was uncanny. Barry was lost in thought when he heard Caitlin arguing with Cisco.
"He has to stay locked up Cisco! He could be a threat! We can't tell them!" Caitlin yelled. Cisco just looked at her with a look of horror. "Why would we do that?! This would hurt the both of them! We need to tell them!" Cisco ended up arguing back. This then led to Barry's question, "Tell me what?"
Caitlin was about to cover Cisco's mouth, but not before he shouted out. "Peter is your brother!"
