This is a girls vs boys story. Therefore no credits go to me ofc. All credits and rights go to Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.

"Eddie, what time do we have to be in the car?" 15 year old Beth Malloy asked her 16 year old sister.

"Mom said by 7 am. She wants to be in Buckman no longer than 9 am." I replied, watching our youngest sister, Caroline.

Caroline's a kind hearted girl. She's just a little, well, "precocious" whatever that means.

Well, going back to Buckman means getting to go to Oldakers' Bookstore. But it also means having to see them. The Hatfords'. Jake, Josh, Wally, and Peter.

Back when we still lived there, they tried to run us out of town with a few pranks. But little did they know, we had some pranks up our sleeves as well.

They put dead animals in the river, so we pretended that Caroline died. Then we went back and forth with the pranks. Until... we moved back to Ohio.

But we're back... and we're not leaving.

"Hey, mom says it's time to go. Caroline, grab this lamp for me please." Beth said, as she walked out my bedroom. "Eddie? Are you ok?"

I grinned wickedly as I turned to her. "100%. I can't wait to see the boys faces." "Same here." She said, as we walked to our mom's car.
