It was 9:00 in the morning when Julia began waking up to feel for William, but he wasn't there; but she remembered he was going to let her sleep in while he dropped Susannah off at daycare.
She turned over noticed a yellow rose and a note shape of a heart on his pillow, as she grabs the rose and smells it and is taken back to their wedding. She reaches for the note and reads it, babe, you look so peaceful, didn't want to disturb you. Just dropping Susannah off at daycare and be right home. She giggles as she out of bed and walks over at the desk chair, and check the outfit he picked for her, black v neck long shirt, black mom jeans and red cardigan, "he picked out a good outfit…mmm…ok gives me an idea for his outfit" she says to herself and walks into their closet and picks out his outfit and lays it on the bed.
Afterwards she has a shower, brushes her teeth, when she hears him, "babe, Jules…"
"Be right out…your outfit is laying on the bed"
"Thanks…did you like yours?"
"I did that's why I thought we should match" she said as she comes out of the bathroom, all cleaned, hair done and make up on.
He giggles as he takes off his track pants, and puts on black jeans, v neck t-shirt and his roots hoodie she got him for Christmas, "good idea, Jules. It sunny and nice out 5 degrees."
"Like a spring day?" she asked as she puts on her jewelry
"Yes" as he puts on his shoes, "ok, you ready for our special valentine's day?"
She sits on the bed, "yes, what is your plan?"
He smiles, "well, you know that index card challenge that is all over Tik Tok and Instagram?"
"Yes"
He nods and smiles, "were doing that" as he goes to their desk and opens a drawer and pulls out index cards and walks towards her, "ok, were going to do 5 rounds of fun things. This is round 1, choose."
She giggles, "William…" and reaches for a card "mmm" and grabs the top card and it reads, Starbucks
"Ok, were going to Starbucks for breakfast and you can pick whatever you want" and hands her his phone
"What?"
"Take my phone and order our breakfast."
"But William, the first Starbucks is 10 minutes away and with traffic…"
He shhh her, "don't worry about anything, today just enjoy it"
As they head out and drive to Starbucks, she orders their breakfast and as soon as they arrive it's hot and ready.
When they finish, he takes out 2 index cards, "round 2"
She reaches over and takes the bottom card, it has the words Pandora
"William, really?
He chuckles, "why do you think I wrote it down on a card?"
She giggles, "well, it's a good thing the store is 2 doors away"
They get up and put their garbage in the trash and walk hand in hand to Pandora.
It was 15 minutes later and Julia couldn't pick of what she wanted, a charm bracelet or family ring, "sorry, William can't choose. Love the charm bracelet with the rose, mother and child, and ruby diamond charm. But I love the family ring, all we have to do is add our birth stones."
"Take your time babe, just want to looking around" as he goes over to the sales lady, "I want to buy my wife both, the charm bracelet and family ring."
"Sounds great, and you get a discount of 40% off, we also just need your birthstones"
"Ok, this is all in a row, July, October, March and January"
"Any specific color or shape?"
"Just the way it was on the ring and her ring size is 5.5"
"Excellent, either you can pay now, or come back when the bracelet and ring are ready?"
"I'll pay now" he says as he looks over and sees Julia still figuring out which one.
"Here's your receipt, sir. Your items will be ready in an hour"
"Thank you, for your help" and walks to Julia
"Babe, you ready?" as he flings around the receipt
"I'm sorry, can't deci…" as she sees the receipt, "you bought me both of them" she said with tears in her eyes
"Yes"
She jumps in his arms and gives him a kiss, "thank you, thank you"
"You're welcome. The items will be ready in 1 hour, which gives us time to do round 3" and holds out 2 cards
She choose the bottom one and it says, pedicure
"Does all the cards have places that are in this juncture?"
He gives her a face, "who knows…oh right…only me"
"Ok, wise guy, lets go get me a must needed pedicure"
They arrive at the salon which was only around the block, as Julia got the works of a pedicure including ruby nail polish on her toes, while William just got a massage and a scrub on his feet and legs.
"Enjoying your Valentine's Day, babe?" William said with a smile
"You bet" as she gives him a kiss
The manicurist smiles, "your first Valentine's as a married couple?"
"Oh, no we have been married almost 9 years" Julia said
"Woah, never seen a couple so in love"
William and Julia giggled, "thank you"
As he reaches into his pocket and pulls out the cards, "round 4"
She picks the top card which says, try for baby #2 and rips it up, "very funny"
He laughs, "ok, I was joking, try the other one"
"Ok…" as she picks it and it says, have sex in the mall washroom "William Henry Murdoch, not funny"
"Ok, I'm sorry, those were the joke round" he grabs 2 more cards, "ok, these are for real"
She picks the bottom and it reads, go on a couples motorcycle ride
"Now, this is better"
After, leaving the salon, they picked up the jewelry and drove to their special place in the park.
As they were driving, Julia puts on her jewelry and notices 4 birthstones on the ring, "William?"
"Yes, something wrong?"
"The ring, they made a mistake, they added 4 birthstones, not 3"
"No, they didn't. I added Harry's birthstone, because you are his mom"
"William" she says as she reaches for his hand and he gives it a kiss.
When they arrived, and walked to their spot, against their tree was 2 motorcycles with helmets,
"William, how did you know I would choose the motorcycles?"
"I didn't. I called a guy from the motorcycle club, where they rent out bikes to people. I requested them 2 days ago."
She puts on her helmet and gets on the bike, "what if I have chosen the other card?"
"We would have went to the movies to see Titanic, your favorite"
"In 3D? But you hate 3D"
"But I love you more"
"William" is all she could say and gave him a kiss
They started up the bikes and rode for an hour, down the park's pathway.
After they put the bikes back against the tree, when William pulled out the last cards, "last round"
She picked the top one, which read, pick up, Susannah and go to the lake
"William, the lake at the cottage?"
"Where we proposed to each other. We can go get Susannah, grab dinner, since we missed lunch and head to the lake. How does that sound?"
She thinks, "mmm…" and wraps her arms around his neck, "sounds wonderful" and they kiss
It was 2 hours later, they had picked up Susannah, and had dinner as a family at a Chinese restaurant and headed into the cottage.
As they arrived, they got out of their van and headed down to the lake which was starting to melt, "it's very was quiet here" she said as she held Susannah in her arms.
"Very peaceful."
"Mmm, still can't believe over 10 years ago, we proposed to each other" she said as she reached for his hand.
He takes her hand, and looks over at her, "let's do it again?"
She looks at him, "do what?"
"Propose to each other again"
"Right now?"
"Yes"
She just looked into his beautiful chocolate brown eyes, "William Murdoch, will you do me the honor of continuing being my husband, best friend, love of my life and partner in crime?"
"Julia Ogden, will you do me the honor of continuing being my wife, best friend, love of my life and partner in crime?"
She smiles at him, "I will"
"And, I will" he smiles big and grabs her waist and holds his girls in his arms and gives them both a kiss and hug.
