Dan's POV:
Looking at the ground while sitting in my cell, I think about being a Class-D in this "secured contained and protected foundation." It just really sucks that an innocent 18 year old without counter evidence got blamed for such a death row crime and got sent into a secret laboratory containing dangerous anomalies, but this is unfortunately the life I'm living since 2 days ago.
Timeskip...
Interrupted from imagining the life I could've been in if I wasn't in this situation, a facility guard with another next to him opens my cell door. They seemed to be armed with FSP-9 submachine guns.
Facility Guard: "Hey, we got some work for you to do. Do us a favor and step out of your cell. If you don't listen or you make an attempt to run from us, we're allowed to terminate you. So please, step out of your cell."
Obeying his orders, I hop off my bed and step out of my cell. He then starts walking out the hallway while I follow him, the other guy behind me. Not too long until we get to a room labeled PT00. Entering in, we walk up a spiral stairway leading to the main room and once we come into there the other guard then closes the blast door.
Facility Guard: "You seem pretty new to this. Read this document for the information."
He then hands me a paper. Taking it, I examine the anomaly image. Looks more like a walnut than a peanut despite the room label. Following that, I read the text swift but not too quick to where I don't acknowledge the words.
Dan: "I'm done reading."
I start folding up the paper and placing it into my pockets. The guard nods and then points his index finger at the opened door, which I go through. I see 2 other Class-D that are "waiting" to go into the containment cell housing "SCP-173." One is holding a mop and a mop bucket. The gate then opens, revealing disgusting bubbling feces all over the floor and the deformed walnut standing still in a corner away from us.
Intercom: "All Class-D Personnel present are now directed to enter SCP-173's chamber. Please do so right now."
Timeskip...
Class-D 1: "Blinking."
All that can be heard is the wet mop being pushed against the last of the secretion and the weird slushing sounds in our minds.
Class-D 2: "Okay...we're done cleaning."
The Class-D who's cleaned up the room places the mop into the mop bucket. Finally, we can get out of shit smelling room.
Intercom: "The gate will now be opened, keep your line of sight on SCP-173 until the gate finally closes."
With the gate opening, we walk back while facing the walnut. I'm the first to exit out of the cell fortunately. But all of a sudden, the gate sparks electricity.
Dan: "Uh...what's wrong with the gate?"
Intercom: "It can't be anything that bad, just keep staring at SCP-173 while we figure out the problem."
But it was anything bad as the whole area suddenly blacks out for a few seconds, the darkness soon filled up with painful neck snapping and short ended screams of fear in which I flinched at all of the noise. I wait until it's my turn to be killed off but from unbelievable luck the lights turn back on, and standing inches away from me is SCP-173, along with the irritating slushing sounds.
Assuming everybody is possibly dead, I back off slowly until I arrive at the closed door where the other guard was. Pressing the button quietly, I walk through carefully making sure to not fall off the edge. Finally, I close the door on the SCP, hoping it doesn't seek interest in following me. I back off from the door and walk through the already opened blast door. Moving onto the stairs, I wait a few seconds. Scraping can be heard behind the closed door along with the continuous sloshing in my mind but all goes away once I hear it travel somewhere else and I think into a vent it has broken into.
?: "Attention all personnel, there is a containment breach currently going on. For any other personnel in Light Containment, wait for any facility guards to arrive and escort you out to avoid the decontamination sequence of Light Containment. You will have 15 minutes until the sequence starts, otherwise any organic substance will be gassed during."
A robotic voice broadcasts the message to which I'm pretty the whole facility. I have a gut feeling the arriving facility guards are going to gun all the Class-D down, so I have to arm myself and get out of this foundation. Moving down the stairs and to a closed door which I open, I find a corpse of the other guard laying around. Firstly, I check to see if anybody's around before I loot the corpse and luckily nobody is. Looting, I check to see what I have. A used FSP-9, 2 mags, a card, a radio, an armor vest, medkit, and a flashbang. Good enough.
Timeskip...
It's only been a few minutes roaming around this "Light Containment" area and I've seen nobody but a lot of corpses everywhere, either they have snapped necks or brutal scratches. The current things I have on me are just the guard's loot and some yellow card that are for scientists here. I keep wandering continuously until I find a room labeled GR18. Going in, I look for anything useful but all I found was documents about the SCPs on a shelf. Since this is looks to be an SCP containment room proved by the SCP-372 label, I'm not going to open the glass chamber. Aside from that, reading one page wouldn't hurt me a little, right?
Picking some random page, I observe. SCP-939, nicknamed "With Many Voices." The image of her looks...surprisingly hot. But then again this is a dangerous anomaly that could rip off my head if they wanted to. Dropping the document along with the 173 document, I walk out the room and continue moving throughout the facility.
During that however, I hear some loud thudding and monstrous breathing which is similar to the information I read from the 939 article. Standing still in a corner of this intersection area, the SCP opens a door to my left looking for any survivors.
SCP-939: "Is anybody there?"
She says in a female voice. My heart beats from fear as I imagine the agonizing death I could experience if I respond. SCP-939 keeps searching around until she is almost right in front of me. The document of her says that if 939 is very close to you, she will still detect that you're there, so I sneak out of the position I was originally was in but because life hates me, I step on a box of bullets which make a crunch sound and in addition of that some of them roll out the floor making more noise.
SCP-939: "...hey..!"
The SCP looks at me and I begin sprint out of this area, starting to shut doors behind me while hearing loud thudding, but I come to a stop as I trip on my back due to some bottle of painkillers rolling around.
I try getting up but the SCP pins me to the floor without hurting, staring me down menacingly. Well, I guess my life really ends here, an unlucky survivor painfully mauled to death.
