Hey Guys, MegaSalamence64 here, Welcome to my First Mermaid Story and my Second Pure Pokemon Fanfic…. Which is part of this one Shot Collection….
Despite Scarlet and Violet being glitchy for some (But we can certainly agree that game is better then Sonic 06 at least)… I do like it's Story and Cast at least, It's no Persona 5 or Tales Series but it's cast isn't that infuriating at least compared to the Sonic 06 cast (The Same can't be said for SwSh however…. And Let's just say there's a Reason why anything Galar Related is being bashed in my Smash Bros Stories to say the least…)
So do honor some of SV's Better Elements, I decided to write a Mermaid Story of Juliana (SV's Female Protaganist being a Mermaid) and while it's small, I assure you, I hope I can do it Justice at least…
You may get some enjoyment form this One Shot at least…. same with the First Chapter of my Mega Discoveries in Unova Fic (A Showcase of my Fanmade Mega Unova Starters in a PURELY Pokemon Fic) as well….

For those wondering when this Story take Place, This covers the False Dragon Titan Portion of the Path of Legends Story of SV (With it being the Final Titan)
Juliana at this Point also has beaten All Eight Gyms and the Star Bosses at this Point but haven't fought either the League or Penny yet….
Also Slight AU Note, But in this Story, Scarlet and Violet occurs sometime after Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire….. (It's not so major but keep in mind that it's to explain why Juliana moved to Paldea in this Story, So She's a Hoennian as well)

Symposis: While Searching for the Final Herba Mystica for both Koraidon and Avern's Mabostiff, Juliana reveals she has a Secret to share with the Son of Professor Sada as she's not exactly human… But a Mermaid… An ACTUAL IN THE FLESH MERMAID….
And as Much as Avern can't believe his eyes about Juliana's true nature, her abilities may be need to find the Final Titan to save Mabostiff and get the Final Herba Mystica….

World of Pokemon, Paldea Region, North of Medali, Casseroya Lake,
"Well we're here….." Said Juliana said she, Koraidon and Avern looked towards the Giant Lake of Paldea…. Where the last of the Herba Mystica rumored to be found in Paldea is located…
"Lake Casseroya…. And the Final Titan…"
Lake Casseroya…. The Giant Lake (That apparently gotten it's name form a Casserole Pot and Royale according to the Locals) in Paldea where more of the mysterious Watch Tower like Ruins found in Paldea reside and often one of the More Dangerous Areas for Paldeans as well as rumors of a Mysterious Deer like Monster lurking in a hidden Shrine found in the Area of the Lake (Something Miss Raifort often admits of desiring to find the monster and it's brethren that lurks in them… Something Juliana admitted never quite get but still feeling wary given the antics associated with certain groups of People in other Regions…her Home Region of Hoenn as one example with the Crazy Scientist whom tries to control the Titans of Land and Sea….)
But more importantly for the two Students (And Mutant (?) Cylizar), The Draconic Titan that been lurking in the Waters of these lakes and rumored to be hoarding the Herba Mysticas often dismissed as Myths and Lies after the Publishiment of the Expedition Journal of Heath in Paldea's Giant Crater… The Very Scarlet Book Avern is currently holding right now….
"Well let's get going Avern!" Said Juliana as she was ready to head onwards with Koraidon
"Wait Juliana! According to what I heard the few people whom DID saw this titan… It appears to be a Dragon type but it behaves more in line with a Pure Water Type however… Hence why it's called the False Dragon Titan (and It's likely not a Regional Variant or Covergent Species of Charizard either)….Plus form what I heard, The False Dragon Titans usually don't appear on the Surface often…So we may have to take while longer to find it compared to that Great Tusk we fought back in the Asado Desert…." Avern admitted as Juliana hopped off Koraidon the moment she heard about what Avern has just mentioned about the Possiblity of the False Dragon titan being underwater….
"Don't worry, I got this Avern….Hold on these for me…." Said Juliana much to the Son of Professor Sada's Confusion as she gave him her bag, Other Pokeballs and Hat, Much to his Confusion while she sent out both her Quaquaval and Palafin out.
"Juilana, Hate to break it to ya…. Unless you're secretly a Water Type… I doubt you last long underwater… And I doubt Koraidon here can help make you breath underwater for lo-"
Juliana however ignored Avern's Words, Smirking back to him as the young brown haired Girl then dived into the Water before he could finished his question.
Before Avern could question Juliana's odd move as Quaquaval gave a smirk back to him that reads: 'Watch carefully Avern….',
As Juliana dived into the Water, Her body started to glow as her eyes instantly gotten used to the Water, Being as Clear as she was still on Land when it usually takes Goggles to see Underwater for most people as her Legs became merged as Red Scales began to coated her body as she smiled to herself as it occurs.
Then Juliana then remerged form the Water much to Avern's Surprise, but with some changes to herself...
Juliana's Legs and Clothes are now replaced with a Scarlet Red Fish tail which shines as brightly as a Ruby, Her Ears replaced by similar Scarlet Scaly Ear fins as gills are present on the side of her neck, Her hands now have webbing to them with the Clip on her hair braid now replaced with a Seashell with a fin growing behind her back and Finally, Her Breasts are covered with more Red Scales, Protecting Juliana's Modesty in the Process.
Juliana has become a Mermaid….A Real life in the Flesh (or in this Case, Scales) MERMAID.
Form what little that Avern has read form the Occulture Magazines in the Academy's Libraries, Mermaids were the occasional topic in them besides the 'Enigmas' of Paldea inspired by the Scarlet Book previously owned by his Mother (Like the Great Tusk Titan he and Juliana fought before this) with the Articles being the Hot Topic of debates in those Magazines after the Incident with Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre back in Hoenn some time ago…
He often demised those mermaid reports as Fake articles just to attract publicity (Given the nature of those ) like the Strange Donphan Monsters, Giant Grounded Volcaronas like Demons and Creatures that can best described as Primal Mega Salamences found in his Mother's Favourite Book (He Reluctantly admitted he half wanted to get rid of it but keep it around regardless for the Herba Mystica that can potentially save Mabostiff as well)…
But right now, After his Experiences with the Quaking Earth Titan (That was known as a Great Tusk according to Juliana…), Avern can only look back in shock at what he just saw with the First Person he was (Somewhat) friends with being an actual fish person….
"….You're….You're A MERMAID!?" Avern shouted in Disbelief and Shock at what he has just saw…
"You're joking right? And I hope I'm seeing things or I'm seriously questioning if the Herba Mystica has side effe-"
"No this isn't a Joke Avern, I am indeed a Real Mermaid…." Chuckled Julianne as she smiled back with a Nervous Chuckle to Avern, Her mer-fangs showing to the stunned upperclass boy with shock, No doubt still processing what he just heard and still questioning if he was dreaming, drunk or even both….
"It's a Long Story… But my Mother's a Mermaid and we're form Hoenn…."
"….I guess that's why you liked Water Types a lot (And Loving to eat Smoked Fillet alongside Koraidon as well)…." Avern answered back as he looked back to her before realizing something about Juliana's Mermaid nature
"Wait if you're a Mermaid… Is this way you're so careful around Water Bodies and often panicking when it's raining?" Avern questioned back to Juliana after some stunned silence. "I hope you're prepared for that at least..."
"Yes it is…. And my Uncle has to negotiate with Director Clavell to keep me and my Mom's True natures a secret…." She continued, as she remained slient about this, no doubt the Reasons for moving to Paldea form Hoenn was no doubt due to the Primal Groudon/Kyogre Incident and the Oceans of Hoenn being more unstable because of it, Something her Uncle has to keep secret for the sake of his Family and the Mermaids given the Occulture Magazines were focused on the Mermaids for a while after the Aforementioned incident with the Two Primal Legendaries...
"And besides, If the Titan's hiding underwater… I figured It'll best to go find it now then wait for here…." Juliane answered back with a sly smile on her face. "And besides, It's been a while since I become my True self, I'm born Mermaid after all…. So being in water feels more natural to be then being on the Surface…."
"I'll see you when I find the Titan! Let's go Quaval and Pala!"
"(Let's go!/Adventure awaits!)" Shouted the Quaquaval and Palafin as the two Pokemon dived in with their trainer as the duo proceed to swim into the depths of Lake Casseroya to find the Titan lurking in the Lake.
As soon as Juliana dived deeper in to the water with her Pokemon, Avern then looked back to Koraidon as the Mysterious Cyclizar like Monster just shrug back to him, No doubt Juliana revealed to it that she's a Mermaid as well (As well as being a reason why it loves the Smoked Fillet Sandwiches made given Juliana's Love for Fish (Likely being a Mermaid playing into this) as well).
"Agias…." Shrugged the Red Irregular Pokemon to the Upperclass Student, No doubt the Former knows that Juliana was a Mermaid before this as the latter just sighs to the strange Pokemon that he has been harboring issues with right now….
"Well, Guess we might as well search for the Titan on the Surface as well….Maybe it could be there…." He admitted as he clench onto Mabostiff's Pokeball as the two looked around the Lake for the Large Dragon/Dragon-like Pokemon spotted by other people, No doubt while his Partner may be recovering thanks to the other 4 Types of Herba Mystica he and Juliana are able to find for him (And by somewhat extension Koraidon even if Avern was less then happy about being around the Brute as he often calls him.)
And the Sooner they find the last of the Herba Mystica, the Sooner Mabostiff can recover… And hopefully he can be saved form the strange attack he suffered form whatever that attacked them was in The Great Crater of Paldea/Area Zero…..
He doesn't want to lose the only Creature he can truly call Family….

As soon as she was underwater with her Pokemon, Juliana felt reenergized, A Sense of Fatigue vanishing form her body as she swam deeper into the Giant Lake of Paldea, No doubt happy about being in her Home/Natural Environment of the water and not the land….
The Water was clear as day for her, Her Gills kicking in as she looked into around the Area, Water Pokemon Swiming in the Lake with the Ocassional as the Water Plants
It's not the Ocean but it's just as Beautiful to be in a Large Lake like this for her after swiming in the Rivers and Small Pounds for quite a while.
Growing up in Hoenn means she and her Mother are often surrounded by Water, And since It was their natural environment… Swimming was arguably more Second Nature then Walking to her (She even admitted that it's hard to walk on her legs due to living nearly her whole life in the Sea and needing to Ride on Koraidon for a while because of this)
But after the recent disasters that was the Reawakening of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, The Oceans of Hoenn may not be safe for them (Especially since while the Two Giants of Hoenn may be stopped by another Legendary: Mega Rayquaza and a Girl named May) and thanks to the Recent inclusion of newer Pokemon into Hoenn's Echo System…. (Or rather according to Professor Birch, Are likely originally Native to Hoenn) May not be safe for the Mermaids given the Newer Pokemon and the Oceans still being troubled by the Super Ancient Pokemon's Rampage.
But the most important factor is with how Hoenn's Waters still be irregular after the Clash with the Ancient Titans of Hoenn, There's a higher chance Mermaids would risk being discovered with how rough the Oceans in Hoenn have been due to Primal Kyogre's Rampage.
They have to move to Paldea for the Time Being till the Situation with the Foreign/Returning Pokemon, Staying with Julianne's Uncle on her Father side of the Family (Both whom are Humans compared to she and her Mother) to avoid being discovered about their true nature….
To Juliana, It was hard to move form the Vast Oceans of Hoenn to the drier Pladea… Even if her Mother admitted had her Friends (Whom are also Mermaids as well) form Unova are free and not dealing with the Recent Problem of the Regional Deep Freeze caused by Team Plasma's Second attempt to conquer the Region… They'll likely go there instead but living with her Husband's Brother is their best option since the two humans swore to ensure the Mermaids don't exposed themselves to other humans…
While Paldea has a Large Ocean surrounding it, It lacks a Normally large body of water to swim in that isn't a River (And while Hoenn was critized for it's large Ocean based areas and Water Bodies, Julianne didn't mind it… As Mermaids are often found in Hoenn, And their Large Ocean makes them harder to find then other Regions at least)
Still, Being a Mermaid has it's disadvantages however… Especially when being in a Body of Water or it Raining would trigger your Transformation to your True Self….
'Thank Arceus I didn't feel into the Water back during either Kofu or Iono's Gym….Or anywhere near the Puddles of Water of the Ruchbah Star Base…' Julianne thought to herself as while it was fortunate that being splashed with water won't trigger her transformation…. Being drenched in Rain or Submerged in any form of water (Even her Legs) would trigger it….
Her Uncle have to discuss with Clavell to keep his Sister in Law and Niece's true identities a Secret, Something the Director was willing to do without much fuss or suspicion (Though her Uncle admitted that Top Champion/Chairwoman Geeta is the bigger concern for hiding his Mermaid Relatives given the Dislike the Gym Leaders of Palde had towards her), Much to their Relief (Which given the recent drama about Paldea's Occulture Magazine and other Paranormal related… Is the last thing a Mermaid needs given past events involving Mermaids and Humans to say the least…)
Heck, It's a Good thing neither Nemona or Penny knows about this at least (Especially since the Former would go crazy for a battle with a Mermaid like her while also risking spilling her secret out to others)… Or Clive for that matter (Though Juliana admitted to the Mysterious Student helping with Operation Starfall looks and acted a little TOO Much like the Director Clavell to say least… No matter how much he denies it however… Especially when he gave some waterproof Clothing when they first Meet before She storms the Segin Squad's Base (Even admitting it's need to prevent Team Star form knowing she's a Mermaid as well… Something that came useful during the Raid onto the Ruchbah Base where things would be even risker if she turned into a Mermaid because she stepped in a Puddle when fighting Ortega's Star Squad)
'Still, Even if Clive and Clavell aren't the Same, I can't focus on that for now…I better start finding that Titan so Mabostiff can recover faster….'
But right now, Finding the Titan was Juliana's current priority as the Mermaid swam with her Starter Quaquaval and Palafin by her side, The Two Pokemon being close as sisters right now due to Mermaids being able to understand other Water Types and thus able to form a deeper connection with them (Something Nemona was surprised by and often question Juliana about…. With Juliana making an excuse that she and Her Mother just love Water Types)
The Mermaid swam past a school of Magikarps with a few Dratinis as Quaquaval looked back to them before turning to Juliana.
"(Must be nice being in a Large body of water again right Juli?)" Quaquaval questioned back to Juliana as the brown haired mermaid smiled back to her starter.
"Sure am Quaval!" Said Juliana as the mermaid smiled back to her honorary sister/Starter as one benefit mermaids have is being able to understand Water Type Pokemon as if they're human without Aura or Psychic Powers…
Something Juliana loves to do with Quaquaval when she was a Quaxly, Given how close her mother was to her Milotic Partner whom was like a Sister to her and an Aunt for her Daughter due to being a Mermaid….
Suddenly a Veluza swam by, Frightening the Mermaid (Whom let a Brief Scream at the Psychic Fish) before Palafin quickly blocked it with a Jet Punch before Quaquaval knocked it away an Air Slash.
"Thanks Pala and Quaval…." Juliana said back to her companions while sighing in relief as the Palafin clicks back to her.
"(No problem Juliana!)" Said the Palafin as Quaquaval smiled back to her, No doubt happy she's alright that her Surrogated sister is Safe form a Veluza at least.
Juliana has to admit, while she loved most of the new water types she meets in Paldea, Veluza has become her least favourite Pokemon during the Treasure Hunt… Due to how often they remind her of Sharpedos (Her other least favourite Pokemon given how Mermaids are their Prey and often a reason for why Mermaids are protective of their Young as well) given how fast they are
Their Speed and persistence among other water types make and often considered a Pest Species for some trainers… but for a Mermaid like Juliana, She's considered prey to them to some extent despite how she liked the taste of the Fillet they shed off which was used to make the Smoked Fillet…
Even Kofu the Water Type Gym Leader using one didn't soothe her despite his Veluza being friendly compared to wild ones… (She's still has a Bite mark form the First time she encountered a Veluza when swimming in the Oceans of Paldea to say the least)
As the Trio kept looking for the False Dragon Titan (While also Encountering other Pokemon like Bergmites and Golducks which ignored or battled them as well as some Tastugiri and Dondozo) They're followed by a Brown Shiny Tastugiri whom quickly rushed towards them.
"(You must Run! Now!)" Babbled the Tastugiri as Juliana and her Team look back in Confusion.
"Run form what?" Juliana questioned back to the Tastugiri whom can only point a fin behind the mermaid and her Pokemon.
"(Run! It's coming!)" Screamed the Shiny Tastugiri as Juliana then remained slient, no doubt ready to face whatever was coming as it approaches them….
Which was a Large Dondozo, Twice the Size of it's usual Species which no doubt the Titan….
"Stay Close…." Juliana whispered to the shiny Tastugiri as he stood behind her back which the Titan proceed to attacked her.
"(GGGRRRRAAAAHHHH!)" Yelled the Dondozo as it glared towards towards it's foes before attacking them with an Aqua Tail as Juliana dodged out of the way from.
"Alright let's do this Girls!" Juliana shouted as she and her Pokemon looked back to each other.
"(You got it/Let's go!)" Quaquaval and Palafin both exclaimed back as the Two and Juliana quickly proceed to fight against the Dondozo,
The Titan then Porceed to try to slam them with his Body Slam only for Palafin to distract him with Jet Punches while Quaquaval proceeds to slam into the Giant Catfish like Pokemon with her Low Sweep Attacks with Juliana even slamming her Tail with a Couple of 'Aqua Tails'/'Tail Slaps' with her Mermaid tail onto the Titan Catfish Pokemon.
"(Graaahhhhh!)" It roared form the Barrage of attacks form it, No doubt being in pain form the faster Pokemon (And Mermaid) attacking it as the Weaker Shiny Tastugiri looked in awe at this while clinging onto Juliana as she helped her Pokemon by distracting the Giant Donzodo…
'By Arceus himself! I'm with a Mermaid! A Real Mermaid!' he thought to himself in both joy and fear (The Former for meeting a Creature never seen in Paldea but Fear but the Resident Bully Tastugiri and Dondozo whom he's running form) while Juliana swam around the titan while Her Water Pokemon slammed attack after attack (Fins, Wings and Talons) on it.
Just as Quaquaval landed an Aqua Step on her foe, Juliana then noticed a Small but certainly larger Tastugiri escaping form the mouth of the Dondozo.
"(Arggh…This Stinks… Wait are you a Mermaid?)" Questioned the Titan Tastugiri whom looked in shock his attacker whom looks quite gorgeous for a Mermaid with Crimsom Scales.
"Yes I am…." Said Juliana with a smile on her face. "Eh sorry Mr. Tastugiri…. But do you where you have your Herba Mystica is? My Friend's Pokemon is sick and needs some to heal… so you don't mind if we have some form him?"
"(Eh, Well, uh….We have to retreat for now! Donzo! To our stash! Now!)" Said the Normal Tastugiri as it's larger comrade quickly nodded as the Former dived back into the latter's belly, The Duo swimming away form the Fight.
"Oh no you don't!" Yelled Juliana as she swam with her Pokemon, with the Shiny Tastugiri following behind on her back as well.
No doubt not wanting to lose him since the Titan Tastugiri's the only lead to the Herba Mystica for both Koraidon and Mabostiff.

"No signs here…." Admitted Avern with a Sigh as he and Koraidon (Whom was carrying Juliana's Bag, Hat and other Pokeballs) looked around the area of the Lake.
"It's definitely not here… And I doubt it's some underwater Engima like Charizard thing like that like that Primal Donphan or Great Tusk…" He continued with some wariness as he knew the Titan can't be far ahead right now….
Suddenly a Giant Dondonzo emerged form the water much to his Surprise as the Giant Faux Dragon quickly busted a Hole in a Island, Cause a cavern to reveal itself.
Just a larger then normal Tastugiri escaped form it's mouth and went into the Cavern….
'Wait is?' Avern thought to himself as the Tastugiri began to much on some Red Herbs that no doubt the Herba Mystica as it began to Much on it.
Just as Juliana resurfaced form the water with Quaquaval and Palafin by her side, The Latter transformed into her Hero Form as well.
"Hey Avern! Glad you're here!" Shouted Juliana as she emerged form the Water with her Pokemon.
"I found the Titan! And you saw him right?" She questioned as Sada's Son looked back to her.
"Yes… And that's the Titan?"
"Yes! Now let's beat him and get that Herba Mystica for Mabostiff!" Juliana answered back as she pointed towards the Tastugiri whom glares back to her, No doubt not wanting anyone to steal his Precious Herba Mystica away form him.
"(Oh so you brought a Friend young Mermaid? No matter! I'll defeat you here and now! And no one will take my precious food supply away form me! NEVER!)"
(Donzo! Now!)"
The Donzodo then devoured it's Tastugiri ally as it then gained power form it and the Herba Mystica that was eatern by the latter.
"(Grrraaaaahhhhh!)"
"Well Talk later, Battle first!" Said Avern as he sent out his Greedent while Juliana's Pokemon stood by her side as she nodded back."
"Alright let's do this!" She shouted as the Tastugiri then slammed it's Tail onto it's foes Whom Dodged out of the way.
"Greedent! Use Bullet Seed!" yelled Avern whom quickly fired some Seeds at the Titan Dondozo as Juliana's Pokemon resumed their Previous attacks on it with Quaquaval using the Enviroment to her advantage as she did a Combo of Low Sweep and Air Slash to knock Dondozo to slow and flinch it.
"(Heads up!)" Palafin added on as the Dolphin slammed an Ice Punch, Which Avern then commanded his Greedent to Thunder Fang the Dondozo, Shocking it in the Process as the Barrage of attacks continues...
The Titan Dondozo despite being enpowered by the herbs was unable to handle the barrage of attacks form it's foes, before fainting form it's foes' barrage of attacks.
The Titan Tastugiri emerged form the Mouthof it's minion before glaring back to it's foes.
"(Grrr… you hurt Donzo… I'll hurt you back!)" It snarled before glaring to it's foes while the boost form the Herba Mystica activates for it…
Soon the Titan quickly unleashed some Icy winds, Slowing the Three Pokemon Down just as it lunges towards Juliana, Intending to attack the Mermaid for learning of it's precious Herba Mystica Stash.
"(You First Mermaid!") it roared as it firs a large stream water form it's mouth…
Only for the Shiny Tastugiri to counter back form Juliana's Back with an Icy Wind, Freezing the Water and knocking the Titan Tastugiri away.
"(What the!?)" Shouted the Titan as it looked back in shock while Juliana's Pokemon glared towards it for almost hurting their Trainer/Honorary Sister.
"(Well Pipsqueak! Didn't say we warn you (Even if we didn't)!)" Said Quaquaval as she then performed an Ice Spinner, Knocking it out in the Process.
Which Avern's Greedent slammed itself into the Sushi Dragon with a Body Slam in the Process as it slowly gotten back up.
As the Titan Tastugiri glared back towards the Three Pokemon it fought as well as the Mermaid and her Human friend, It simply scrowled towards them before turning tail and leaving.
"(I'll be back one day! And You'll pay for this MERMAID! Same with Browny boy there!)" yelled the Titan Tastugiri as it's Dondozo Minion got back up and the two retreating back to the Depths of the lake.
Avern then looked back to Juliana whom simply shrug back as Palafin returned to her Zero Form.
"Don't ask…." The Mermaid said back to Avern as the Shiny Tastugiri approached her.
"(So uhm… Can I join you Juliana? You're pretty nice….)" questioned Tastugiri as Juliana smiled back to him.
"Sure why not… I needed a Final Team Member and you'll be great…" She smiled back to the Sushi Fish as Koraidon took out an empty Pokeball in Juliana's Bag form his mouth as he tossed it to her, The Tastugiri smiling at the sphere as Juliana placed it near him.
The Pokemon needed no further response as it entered the Ball and without a single Shake, Clicked perfectly siginalling the Shiny Tastugiri's willingness to be caught.
"Well welcome to the Team Tastu!" Exclaimed Juliana in Joy as picked up the newly caught Tastugiri's Pokemon and released him form his sphere, The Tastugiri looking back to his new Trainer as he snuggles her much to the Mermaid's Joy.
"Trust me Tastu! You'll get along with the others…."
"(Ok!)" Said the Tastugiri as he smiled back to her as Avern approached his Mermaid Friend.
"So… You're ready to change back into a Human?" Avern questioned Juliana whom looked back to him with a shrug with her hands and Tail fins. "You don't have a Contract or anything to keep her stuck like this right? I don't think there's a Sea Witch to reverse this..."
"Nah, Not really…." Juliana answered back as she shrugged back to Avern. "I usually prefer being a Mermaid at times… and besides, My Transformation usually last for 15 minutes when out of the water….But I can breath outside of the water as well so don't worry…"
"..If you say so…" Avern shrugged as he picked Juliana up while CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH HER BREASTS (Which while Covered by her Scales but his not going to risk it) to where Koraidon is…
But not before Juliana kissed him on the Check as she blushed a red that matches her Scales while doing so.
Avern blushed at the sudden kiss on the Check form Juliana as Koraidon chuckled a bit, much to the former's un-amusement as he placed Juliana onto Koraidon's Back with the Mermaid's new Tastugiri friend by her side as Palafin was carried by Quaquaval as the group entered the Cavern to find the Final Herba Mystica to save Avern's Mabostiff.
"(He took you being a Mermaid well right Juliana?)" Questioned Quaquaval as the Mermaid smiled back to her Starter as they went deeper into the Cavern.
"Well he did…" Juliana answered back as she blushed back to her Starter with a smile. "But I'm just happy to be a Mermaid for a while… I can only take so much of hiding whom I'm really am for now…."
"Well there it is! The Final Herb!" Shouted Avern in joy as he then noticed a Red Herb growing near a rock.
"Well let's do this!" Said Juliana with Smile while on Koraidon's back with a smile, No doubt Mabostiff's Recovery is near... All while she's unaware of a small Romance between her and Avern was now blooming in the Process.

Author's Note:
Well, I altered the intial encounter with the Titan Tatsugiri and Don being Underwater to justify the Mermaid thing for Juliana… But still, I did include Avern helping out by the Fight being taken to the Surface at least…. (So think of this Story as an Adaptation of the False Dragon Titan Battle with some Mermaid Stuff included at least)
For Juliana's Mermaid Transformation, It occurs only when she's submerged in Water (Meaning being splashed by Droplets of Water doesn't trigger her transformation… but being directly in any Body of Water (Even a Puddle) will trigger her Mermaid Transformation….So Juliana has to be careful Around Fountains or Pools of Water to avoid transforming into a Mermaid when she doesn't want to at the moment…. Same when it's Raining as that means Juliana has to avoid often, Hence why Clive has to give her some waterproof Clothing to avoid accidental transformations if possible when they storm the Star-bases since Juliana's Mermaid Form isn't going to help much with them.)
She'll also stay as a Mermaid for at least 15 Minutes outside of Water…. Oh and her Clothes return (And I have to admit, I don't want to have Juliana strip in front of Avern, Hence why I came up with the Clothes reappearing when she returns back to normal… Just think of it as Mermaid Magic ok?)
Also, Juliana's only unique Mermaid Ability (And by extension her Mother and other Mermaids of this Fic) is the Ability to understand Water Type Pokemon… So she's no mary sue, it's just having the ability to understand only one Type of Pokemon and nothing else (No H20 Style Magic or Idol Music ala Mermaid Melody however)
Also Julianne's Mermaid Design is based on the Female Mermaid Protaganist form this Mermaid Visual Novel as well (Check that Game out when you can, It's interesting to say the least):

Also, the Shiny Tastugiri that Juliana befriended and later caught is inspired by my own Shiny Tastugiri that I caught recently as of this Chapter, So consider this the inspiration for this Story….
(Also before anyone ask, Koraidon's Speench not being translated is a minor headcanon of mine that Paradox Pokemon don't speak Poke-Speech and simply talk in more Animalistic (Past Paradoxs) or Robotic (Future Paradoxs) noises….Plus it allows the Dons to feel more like Movie!Toothless as well in a way)
