Sometimes, Antauri whispered stuff to Chiro.
He knew he didn't have to, he could've said it at a normal volume, but it felt better whispering them to him. Every compliment, every sweet nothing, every romantic 'I love you', Antauri whispered them to Chiro. No matter if it was whispered or normally said, it always got his heart pounding. It was partially exhilarating, partially terrifying. Yet when he looked at the smile on Chiro's face, the pure innocence and joy behind those eyes, it was like everything was okay.
Antauri didn't know how or why, but it did. It calmed him in a way that he didn't know was possible.
Maybe it was because of how genuine the look on his face was every time. Maybe it was because of the others being there who were ready to help out at any time. Maybe it was something else entirely or a combination of reasons. It was quite possible he simply thought too much over this similarly to how Gibson would.
Regardless, everything that came after the soft whispers always made him blush. It always made him smile to see his face get the way it did. If Antauri were to tell his past self any of this, there was no way he'd believe it, and with good reason. It wasn't like he could change the past anyway, but he didn't want to.
He whispered to Chiro how handsome he was. Chiro simply looked away with a blush. It stayed even as Antauri complimented and flirted with him even more. He started laughing from how much it all was. Antauri happily sighed, it never failed to be a beautiful sight, no matter how many times he saw Chiro get like that.
Antauri then kissed his hand before they continued their separate ways.
