Raphael's POV

Hitting the bag wasn't working like I thought it would. I had so much pent-up anger that I wanted to hit someone instead of something. The one time I needed bad guys to be out, the streets were silent. I growled as I paced back and forth atop of one of those big corporate buildings. Why them? Why everyone else and not me!

We finally matured… we're officially men now and since that knowledge came into my brain everything changed. We were changing. Ever since Donnie found out we would all find mates and could actually have kids I was through the roof. Finally, to have someone who didn't see us as monsters or freaks, it'd be the best!

Leo, of course Leo, found his mate first. He said it was her scent that attracted him. Annaliese Porter, a cop. She was tough and brave and always put herself between the innocent and the bad guys. Of course she and Leo constantly argued about her job since that meant she could be in constant danger and that was something Leo did not like. That's how they met. Leo found her pinned down between a bunch of bank robbers shooting at her car. She was holding her own and waiting for back up. From that moment on Leo has always been her back up. Of course it took some getting use to what with him being a giant mutant turtle and all.

Next Donnie found Evangeline Lopez, a street artist who got lost in the world of paints and sketches. Donnie met her through her art. He would leave little drawings in the area where she did most of her work and that's how they communicated. When he smelled her, Donnie was gone for days and for a while we were starting to get worried until he came back to the lair with the woman. She too was a little freaked out by the sight of us, but of course we won her over.

Last was Lillian Egan, a gamer and adrenaline freak who enjoyed roller coasters and safe partying. That's how Mikey found her at a Halloween party. Sensei was furious that he snuck out to go to this party, but with everyone dressed up, no one was the wiser. She accepted all of us immediately. All three women became part of the family easily and they were nice ladies. But days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and I had yet to find my mate. Whatever, I didn't need a mate! I don't need any woman holding me back.

"Yeah, that's right. I don't need anyone! I got myself and my brothers and my sensei. I don't need anyone else!" I said out to no one in particular.

"Oh yeah then why are you out in the town by yourself?" my brain asked.

"Because it's mating season for my brothers, and everything smells like sex and other fluids in the lair." I answered. Although I could force myself to sleep my way through the noises and moans, I couldn't ignore the different smells in the place or the next morning conversations between my brothers at breakfast. I needed to clear my head anyways, and find some heads to crack!

1 hour later

"WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THIS CITY!" I yelled in utter frustration. There was no crime anywhere, no one stealing, no robberies or even assaults or attempted murders happening. Oh did everyone decide to just be on their best behavior tonight or something! Now I was really frustrated. I was seeing red. I looked down and shut my eyes tight trying hard to stop the violent shaking that was coming over me. I almost didn't realize my nose was twitching slightly as I was sniffing.

My shaking stopped.

"Woah." I replied lowly and opened my eyes and looked up. I smelled some more. At first all I smelled was gunk and grime and a mixture of different food vendors all over. But this smell, it was faint. Shea butter. Out of all the gross crappy smells, there was a hint of beautiful in it. My eyes widened.

"Oh shit it's her!" I yelled before jumping off the building I was on, and the sweet aroma guide me!

Teleya's POV

Morning couldn't come quick enough. I was up and starting my day as usual: work out, shower, breakfast, go out and about the town, then come home and relax until my phone was buzzing from someone calling wanting to go out to lunch or to a museum. My name is Teleya Carmichael. My father Liam Carmichael is a comedian, actor, producer, and television host. I was raised in luxury and wanted for nothing. But over the years I grew bored with that life. I was thankful that to be in such a wealthy position, but having the spotlight my entire life was tiresome and many of the associates that I knew had taken a path of extremes to have purpose. I didn't want that to be my life. Once I turned twenty-five, I decided to open up a clothing store for plus size women called Glamorous Curves where the fabrics were comfortable for lovely women of all size.

And being a plus size woman myself, I felt it was time for all women to have comfortable clothing they could feel beautiful in! I have many shops all over the country and models of all sizes to model them. They are very popular. But even then, with the popularity of a clothing company, I wasn't happy. I was not fulfilled with my glamorous life, so with my father's guidance my journey started in New York where I reconnected with my friend, April O'Neil. We went to college together and she was going to be a reporter. I've seen her on the news before. She's not bad.

I was on the phone with her now, calling to see if she were free for lunch tomorrow while I sipped hot chocolate from my favorite mug.

"Salvadore's pizza? Wow I haven't been there in years! Let's meet up around noon?" I asked.

"Sounds good. Can't wait to see you!" she gushed.

"Same here. I'll message you when I'm leaving my place." I said and with that said we hug up. I looked up with a smile before hearing a loud thud from above me. I jumped a bit and looked up and around wondering what in the world was that. I walked over toward my balcony's doors with the intent to open it to see what was going on, but then I realized, that whatever was out there, I didn't want to know. I had a small light on the back porch and looked down to the ground and noticed what seemed like a shadow moving around. Nope! I immediately cut out the light and hurried to my room.

"Nope nope nope nope!" I chanted closing my door. It was obviously some type of big bird, but I did not want to find out exactly what bird it was.

Raphael's POV

I let this scent lead me through the city, the excitement growing in me. She's getting closer, I could smell her. My stomach had all kinds of knots forming. Who is she? What is he like? Does she got any hobbies? I jumped from building to building noticing the apartment buildings started to look nicer-fancier even. These neighborhoods were nice and gated. I recognized the nicely mowed lawns and large swimming pools. This is upscale New York. My brothers and I used to sneak around here from time to time to see what it was like up here. It was just a bunch of snobs with their heads up in the clouds. Everything was handed to them, they were like Gods here. But none of that mattered right now.

All that mattered was this scent that was getting stronger and that's all I cared about right now. Finally, I made my way to a big apartment complex. There were three floors, painted in dark blue and white with a beautiful pool and gates. I followed my nose until I was on the rooftop of one of them. I looked around for a bit. There was a door up here that led down into the complex as well. I approached it thinking of breaking it, but I thought against it since it would just lead me into the path of people seeing me. So I jumped over the edge silently. I peeked into glace of the balcony doors and saw the entire floor was one large room. It was empty with the lights out, but still it was huge inside.

"Woah, how much does a place like this cost?" I asked. I looked up smelling the air some more and glanced over at the building over. She's there. Without wasting anymore time, I ran and jumped off the balcony railing and onto the next balcony. There was light on the inside and a large tarp above the doors of this balcony so I hid above it and slowly glanced over. It was really nice inside. Real nice furniture and paintings everywhere on the wall and that's when I saw her walking across the room from the kitchen. My eyes widened as the scent was strong immediately upon sight. There she was. She was tall, maybe about 5'7, milk chocolate skin, dark eyes, and curves. She had black straight hair that just reached her shoulders and a nose ring. She was sipping from a white mug, her nails and toes are painted. She's in a big white sweater that hung off the shoulder. Her calves were beautiful, her bottom was perfectly round. The outline of her breasts showed they were big too just like her stomach. She was… perfect. She had removed her phone and placed it to her ear. I watched every move she made. I was entranced with her.

"April? April O'Neil?" she asked. My eyes popped. No way, she knew April! This was perfect! A loud thud from the rooftop above made me immediately hide from view. I jumped back on the roof to see it was Leo.

"Dude what the hell?" I whispered harshly.

"We need you back at the lair, you didn't have your cell phone so Donnie tracked you by using the camera's he installed around the city. Dude what are you doing on this side of town?" he whispered back. I couldn't even be annoyed anymore now that he asked which only brought my attention back to her.

"I found her, Leo." I said happily and now his blue eyes widened as he looked down at the ground and then at me.

"What? You serious?" he asked and I nodded with a big smile on my face.

"Yeah! I found my mate!" I said. Now all anger and rage I had felt hours earlier were gone and replaced with a new feeling, a primal feeling that told me I needed to get her into my world sooner than later.
