"Come on April!" I begged as she shook her head walking around me. After fighting some robbers, I had called April immediately needing her to come to the lair so she could bring my mate into our world. As much as I wanted to just knock on her door and introduce myself, I knew in a million years I never would be able to do that!
"No Raph, I am not going to play match maker with you and my friend." she said. I shook my head not believing what I was hearing.
"You don't have to play match maker, she's already mine!" I snapped. She gave me a look and that's when my head snapped up in shock. "Her name… I don't even know her name! What's her name!"
"Woah, Raph I've never seen you this excited before. She must be the one!" Lillian replied, her eyes glued to the TV as she and Mikey were playing some video game. The freckled face brunette finally looked at Mikey. "Were you this excited when you found me?" Mikey looked at her with wide eyes.
"You kiddin' I was over the moon, baby!" he said before the two were back in their game world. I looked at April who sighed.
"Her name is Teleya Carmichael." she answered. My eyes widened as I looked up.
"Teleya… I've never heard that name before. It's gorgeous." I said. My heart was pounding faster now as I heard my mate's name. Teleya.
"Wait… Teleya… the Teleya Carmichael!" Eva asked, her head shooting up from her sketch book. She and Donnie are never too far apart merely being quiet together. Both Donnie and I looked at her curiously.
"You know her?" I asked. She gawked and looked at April.
"You know her!" she asked. April nodded slowly.
"I do." she replied. Now my interest was even more peaked. Donnie rolled on his chair toward his computer monitor and began to type furiously.
"Teleya Carmichael, daughter of actor/producer/comedian Liam Carmichael." he replied immediately started mumbling as he read. I walked over toward him needing to hear more. Eva followed.
"What's it say?" I asked.
"She owns numerous clothing companies called-"
"Glamorous Curves?" Eva snapped and Donnie nodded at her.
"That's the one." he replied and now the young woman was speeding up to April.
"I can't believe you know Teleya Carmichael!" she snapped. I looked at Donnie.
"What she a star or something?" I asked.
"More than that, she's a socialite and young entrepreneur." he said. I tensed.
"So she's a rich girl? That explains the upscale apartment." I said crossing my arms and leaning back now. April approached with a caring stare.
"I have lunch with her tomorrow, now I cannot say this is going to be easy-"
"Why you think I can't bag my mate because she's some rich hotshot?" I asked immediately offended and she gave me a look.
"She's not saying that, Raph." Leo called stepping into the lair through one of the pipes with Anna behind him, her hand in his large one. She was in black pants and a white tank and black jacket.
"What's all the hullabaloo in here?" she asked.
"Raph found his mate in some big rich girl!" Mikey yelled. My eldest brother and his girl walked over, a big smile on Anna's face.
"That's great Raphael. Who is she?" she replied.
"Teleya Carmichael." Eva replied. Now the cop's eyes popped.
"Really now? I didn't know she was in town or even had a place here." she said. From how stunned she sounded, this definitely seemed like a big deal. April nodded.
"Yes. We went to school together and we are getting lunch tomorrow." she said.
"Ugh, lucky! I love her fall collection. All of her designs are nice, new and affordable!" Eva replied. Mikey had paused the game and did a flip over the couch pulling Lillian over his knee.
"Sounds like you both live in two separate worlds." she said.
"To be fair we all were." Donnie noted.
"Yes, but she's basically a celebrity, someone who will catch the public's eye often." Anna replied. I crossed my arms harder and looked down.
"You make it sound like it's going to be impossible to meet her." I grumbled.
"It very well could be, Raph." Leo said. Mikey looked between the two of us as I shot Leo a glare.
"Well hang on dudes, that's why we need to brain storm! You know figure out a way to make these two paths connect!" he said. Lillian nodded.
"I agree. Just because she's some big-time woman doesn't mean a thing." she said. I looked at April with soft eyes.
"I gotta meet her April." I said, a mild hint of desperation in my tone so she knew this was serious. She looked at me with caring eyes before nodding.
"Okay. Tomorrow I will talk with her and see what I can make happen. I mean you guys are all heroes who keep this town safe, and that's a status that beats celebrities all the way." she said with a smile. I smiled big appreciating her words and my brother's followed in their smiles as well. Anna looked up at Leo.
"Maybe we all need to incorporate ourselves into her life somehow. Maybe knowing us first will make it easier to meet the rest of you." she offered. Leo smiled down at her.
"I think that's a great idea, love." he said with his hand on her hip.
"Easier said than done," Eva said, "We are not in her social group." she moved her fingers around the room toward herself and the other girls.
"But April is!" Lillian said pointing at her. "Maybe you plan more than lunch and she can meet us. It would be a great way to see if she's even nice!" Mikey smiled big at her.
"Great idea, babe! My lady knows how to plan!" he gushed. Eva nodded.
"Lil is right. The one thing we have to do is get along with each other, and I don't want to stereotype Teleya as some rich daddy's girl who is in a world of her own, but-"
"It sounds like you're going down that road now." I interrupted her.
"Alright, Raph take it easy. That's not what she was going to say." Donnie defended. I looked away with a huff as April raised her arms.
"It's okay everyone. Teleya is cool people. She's kind and passionate and has proven to me many times that she has a heart of gold." she said. If April thinks this highly of her then it made me even more excited to meet her. I sighed and looked at Eva.
"Sorry for snapping at you." I said. She smiled warmly.
"It's okay. I know if anyone tried to make a generalization of me, Donnie here wouldn't be too happy." she said elbowing his side.
"Pretty upset to be specific." he said with a nod which made Eva nuzzle him a bit. Anna nodded.
"So now Operation Lovebirds is to be strategized: April will be the gateway to our world." she said. April nodded and I smiled happy everyone was willing to help me make this happen.
"The Santino Park is having an art day tomorrow with games and prizes, she can meet Lil and I there." Eva replied.
"It's a city event so I'll have to be there as well to keep tabs on everyone." Anna replied. Lillian nodded quickly.
"We all hang out a bit, and April will have to close the deal with getting her interested in meeting you guys, we all build a good rapport with her, I'm sure she will want to continue hanging out with all of us, and during that time, Raphael can make his move and plant the seeds of love." she said with a giggle and I smiled at all of them.
"I like the way you ladies think." I complimented making all the women smile happily at each other. April reached into her pocket.
"I'll go ahead and send Teleya a text to make it official. Hopefully this isn't too unexpected for her. But I'll get her to that park." she said. I smiled at her.
"Thanks guys." I said and Mikey laughed.
"Hey what's family for!" he gushed.
"Casey's waiting for me up above." she said. Anna raised her head.
"I'll walk you up. I have to get home myself." she said looking up at Leo. "You coming along?" He grinned.
"Yes ma'am. Night boys don't wait up." he said before turning to leave with the two women.
"Has anyone seen sensei, we need to tell him the good news." I said.
"He should be finished meditating by now." Donnie said pointing to the back toward Master Splinter's side of the lair. Mikey and Lillian went back to playing their game, while Donnie planted Eva on his lap and with a giggle, they rolled back over toward his desk. I was filled with nothing but happiness as I hurried down the darkness until finally a small light cut through it as I entered my sensei's room.
"Master?" I called out.
"I am here my son." I heard the old voice of my father as I saw him meditating on a matt. I approached with a smile.
"Did you hear, I found her, sensei. I found my mate!" I said happily. The old man gave an old chuckle as he stood up.
"I heard. I also heard the plan that you all will put together to get this young woman's attention." he said stroking his beard and turning to me. I chuckled.
"Yeah. I'm glad for their help. I don't think I could have gone after her on my own. She's this big celebrity and wow sensei, she's so beautiful." I said not even noticing I was twisting my body swaying my arms a bit.
"Well if she is as popular as I heard, I am sure she will become popular with our family." he said and I gave a nervous chuckle. Finally the worry began to seep in and I looked down some.
"She lives in a fancy apartment with nice furniture and all this rich stuff…" my words trailed off and my father nodded approaching.
"The universe brought you two together, her heart must be strong if it was meant to be. Do you think it is meant to be?" he asked. I looked down at him and then the ground.
"I think so… what am I saying, I know so!" I said and he nodded.
"Good do not think of the material aspect of the people above when you meet her. Just be yourself." he advised. Myself. I nodded and gave him a smile before turning and heading back to my room and now more questions were coming into my mind. Would I meet her tomorrow? Will April be able to get her intrigued enough for her to want to meet us? What was she like? What were her hobbies… wait she's a beautiful woman, did she have a boyfriend!
Teleya's POV
For once, I was pretty excited about this eventful day. April messaged me and asked if I wanted to go an art showing at the Santino park and meet a couple of friends of hers. I was always down for meeting new people. If anything, I hoped they were genuine. I slide on a pair of blue skinny jeans and a soft fabric tank top. I put on my silver necklace with a tree of life pendent, slid on my sandals, and headed out the door. It's been so long since I had seen April, and I was happy we still had each other's numbers. Today was going to be a pretty eventful day, I just knew it!
