CHAPTER 2: NAIADS

Kendra wavered between the two decisions. Should she accept? Or not? Her instincts told her to accept, she could finally help Bracken and save the Fairy Realm. But it came with a catch, she would have to be immortal. Her instincts won over… she would accept.

"I accept," she finally said, hesitantly. The Elderfairy face glowed with admiration.

"We will forever be grateful for your help, Kendra Sorenson," she said before beginning the process of making Kendra the Light Guardian. Kendra couldn't understand in the beginning, what the Elderfairy was chanting, but during the end of the process, she made out, "I officially pronounce Kendra Maria Sorenson as the Queen of the Magical Realm, as Queen of both Dark and Light, demons or fairies, giants, and all magical creatures, and as the Light Guardian, protector and lady of the Fairy Realm, who will free the rightful royal family and return them to their former positions."

As soon as the Elderfairy finished the chant, a blinding flash of light accompanied her words, and Kendra felt magic energy being infused into her. She suddenly felt as if she was in control of the world, and that no magic was impossible for her. As the magic kept coming in, her appearance changed. She became a stunning fairy, powerful, and royal. Her appearance marked power and royalty, but also kindness and love, gentleness.

She was alluring, a goddess, her beautiful blonde hair flowing down her shoulders. Her sapphire eyes flashed with love, wisdom and authority. Her red lips curved into a dazzling smile. Her face was breathtakingly radiant. A silver, glittering tiara circled atop her head, signaling her majesty, and she moved with an ethereal grace. The Elderfairy knelt in reverence. "Rise, my sister," Kendra said in a gorgeous voice, beautiful and beguiling. "You are my sister, Elderfairy. Please do not kneel. I would not be a Queen, if it weren't for you." The Elderfairy nodded. "Call me Eurora, Queen Kendra," she said smiling. "You have a beautiful name, Eurora," Kendra said, glowing. "Like you said, Eurora, we have a duty that we need to get started on. Let me write a quick note to my family about our whereabouts, and we can get started on going to the Fairy Realm, ASAP."

She wrote a quick note: Hi guys!

I'm so sorry for not telling you in person, but I am leaving for the Fairy Realm, with the Elderfairy, who is the mother fairy, and the very first Fairy Queen. I know this is very Seth-like, but the risk is necessary. I will be returning tomorrow morning with Bracken, hopefully. Don't worry about me! Learn more tommorow morning. Meet me in the Living Room.

Love,

Kendra

"I'm ready, Eurora," Kendra whispered after writing the note. "Let's Go!" She lessened her size and flew out the window, Eurora following steadily behind her. She continued on the familiar path to the naiad's pond. As they were flying, she asked, "By the way, Eurora, out of all the naiads who do you think would be most deserving of a gift? Eurora answered, "There is a kind naiad named Chylesia. She constantly battles against her nature to drown people and instead helps them."

They reached the pond. Stepping close, she knelt over it looking at her reflection. "Chylesia!" she called her voice echoing off the pond. Come here! We need your help, my dear." The head of a naiad bobbed up from the water eagerly. After seeing the Elderfairy, she bowed her head, gasping in shock. "What can I do to assist you, your majesty?" she asked.

"Chylesia, I have heard of your kindness towards humans, and that you deserve to be rewarded. I would like to promote you as Queen of Naiads. With this power, you would be able to come out of the water, as a Queen, and when you go back into the water, a Naiad Queen. You will have control over the waters and will be able to summon water while you are on land, on your command," she said, "Do you accept?"

Chylesia's eyes widened in shock. "Of course, your Majesty! I would be forever grateful."

Kendra placed her hands on the naiad's head, and she suddenly was wearing a silver circlet around her head and was more beautiful than she had ever been. "You are now officially the Queen of Naiads, and one of the main protectors of the Fairy Realm.

We will be having a battle at the Fairy Realm today, and it is required that you join."

"Yes, Kendra, I will be there. I will use my power over water, to control the opponent's armies. Stay safe, my Queen. You are our only and final resort." And with that, the naiad dove back into the water. Eurora smiled, "You had a wonderful conversation. Let's fly over and explore the Fairy Realm. With your powers, you can sneak inside the Fairy Realm without Ronodin being aware of it."

Kendra activated her sneaking powers and flew over the pond toward the shrine.

She whispered a few magical words, and they entered. Eurora suddenly smiled. "I have a plan, Kendra." Kendra nodded, understanding. "I know, Eurora, I was just thinking the same thing. Your plan was to get Bracken's 2 imprisoned sisters, Ivory and Midnight, and for me to get Bracken and Lizelle. After that, the plan was to meet each other at the Fairy Queen cell, right?"

Eurora nodded in affirmation. "That is the plan," she said, smiling.
