CHAPTER 7: ALLIES
"You're welcome, Shiara," Kendra responded. "Now, my friends, let's combine our energy and make a power bond to turn all of the fairies into their full sizes. At this the group put their hands out, palms forward. From their palms came balls of glowing light which fused together as one. The power bond ball was now unbearably bright. They unleashed the ball on Fablehaven. In a matter of seconds all the fairies were full-sized and Fablehaven's gardens were looking amazingly lush, almost like the Fairy Realm.
Kendra chuckled. "Just saved Dale from his daily work in the gardens," she said. Calling on all of the fairies the group asked the fairies to go and spread the word about the Fairy Realm to other fairies and to ask them to join in the rebellion upon the Fairy Queen's call. "I will bestow all of you all the power to enlarge fairies into their full sizes. Javier and Victoria will be the leaders of this job, and Lady Shiara will be your superior and Duchessa."
The fairies nodded earnestly, eager to go and spread the word. Molea stopped them quickly, "Before you go, you all will have the power to communicate and transport to each other. It would be good if five of you stayed here for the others to transport here." Five voices volunteered for this job. Kendra looked at her admiringly. "Good luck sisters! She turned to Shiara. "Do not hesitate to contact me for anything," she said, handing her a bracelet. Waving, the fairies left for their quest, excited.
"What next?" "Let's go to the Union Headquarters and check up on the Unicorns. Maybe, the most intelligent ones will be able to form a battle plan." They returned to the lush headquarters to the excitement of the unicorns. The Fairy Queen called out among the unicorns, "Oliver, James, Venice, Lilianna, and Beatrice, please come here for a second." The four came forward. Ivory went forward and hugged James. "Kendra, meet my husband, James." James was gazing at Ivory with affection. "I was so worried about you, Ivy," he said, after shaking Kendra's hand warmly.
Lilianna came forward and shook Kendra's hand. "Call me Lily, my Lady," she said. Midnight and Lizelle hugged her afterwards. She was obviously best friends with them. She was followed by Beatrice, who smiled, "Call me Trixie, your highness," she said. Oliver bowed and shook her hand. "I'm Lily's fiancé, Lady Kendra," he said, introducing himself. Venice also came forward and shook her hand. "I'm Trixie's boyfriend," he said. Kendra smiled at all of them. Kendra turned to the Fairy Queen admiringly.
"I guess you called them for a reason, your majesty? From what I can tell, these are the most intelligent beings in the magical world, and that is not exaggerating."
The Fairy Queen nodded. "Meet the Intelligent Quintets. They are my personal group of advisors, and the wisest in all of the magical world, just like you said, Kendra." Lizelle's face turned solemn. "Mother called you here for a reason, guys. We need a battle strategy to defeat Ronodin with the rebellion immediately. The fivesome started. Snapping her hands, a scroll and a pen appeared in front of Trixie. "How many fairies do you think you can gather?" she asked. Kendra's brow furrowed in thought. "About 10,000 fairies. The fairies at Fablehaven are passing the word along, and the people who heard the message will pass it along too."
The quintet nodded thoughtfully. James stepped forward. "What time and day do you plan on doing the rebellion?" he asked. "About 6AM," Ivory answered. James nodded, and Trixie scribbled it down quickly. "According to our calculations," Venice said, "you have three times the number of troops than Ronodin." Beatrice smiled. "That is encouraging news," she said. "Would you please excuse us for a moment. Can we converse privately?"
The group agreed. "Of course!" After a few minutes, the Intelligent Quintet came back, grinning in satisfaction.
"We have a plan," Lily announced, her stormy gray eyes sparkling with observation.
"As the Light Guardian, Kendra, you should be able to make the gathering army invisible."
"It is going to sound paranoid, but Kendra you're going to have to challenge Ronodin to a duel in your fairykind form. Ronodin will underestimate you that way," Beatrice continued. "In the Fairy Realm, there is a sparring room, a huge arena that can hold thousands of people. You will need to ask him to duel there," James persisted.
"Meanwhile, the army will be invisible, divided into a group of 8, surrounding Ronodin and you under the command of leaders in the arena," Oliver continued. "You will best Ronodin in the duel, and in the case when he calls his guards, the army will appear and destroy them all." Venice finished proudly. "Kendra, along with this battle plan, I also have vital information for you," Lily said, "I am trained in tracking darkness, and I can see that your brother is in the deepest cell with a light source, named the Wizenstone.
It seems destroyed by the Unforgiving Blade, but you can fix that easily. Your brother has also received his memories and is in anguish now." "Seth," Kendra gasped, "he's been captured by Ronodin?" "Kendra, I can retrieve him from the cell, for you to focus on the battle plan," Shiara offered. Kendra nodded gratefully. "Thank you Shiara. You too Lily. That was very vital information. If we have the Wizenstone on our side, that would be a big blow for Ronodin." Eurora looked at them admiringly. "You have done well, my intelligent friends. That was an amazing battle plan. Now, it's time for the action!"
Kendra frowned. "I think we have multiple other people we need to contact before that," she said.
