Luke's POV

"Well that went great." Luke muttered as the boys made it back to their headquarters. The moon was higher in the sky now, clear and full and bright, illuminating most of the church.

Reggie swung his left arm in wide arcs, "I think Flynn dislocated my shoulder."

Luke laid the flag back in place and threw himself into a wing-backed chair. Obviously his plan had not worked, so they needed a different tactic. He needed his teammates opinions. He looked at Carlos, considering the younger boy.

"What do you think we should do this time little dude?"

"Glad you asked." Carlos told him in his very Carlos way, pressing his fingers together villainously, the halo of dark hair around his head contrasting the act. "My sister is probably feeling like they're gaining momentum since they won the first round, so she's getting confident. This means they're gonna play less defensively and risk more. Julie's the only one that hasn't been guard so she'll be there, and Flynn probably won't be far off. This means Alex is either coming this way or helping Flynn."

Luke and Reggie exchanged an impressed look.

"You're either way off, or a genius." Luke bumped his fist against Carlos's chest. "We need to play more defensively this round, but that's what they'll be expecting, so we stay on defense and make it look like offense. To do that they need to come to us though, and honestly, if we get Alex out the rest will be a piece of cake."

"Oh I have the best idea for that! I've been waiting so long for this." Reggie pulled something out of the inner pocket of his leather jacket. Luke was concerned to see that it was a dark curly wig. He stopped Carlos from asking Reggie where he got it, happier without the information.

Reggie backed into the shadows on the other side of the room, fixing the wig on his head. When he crouched down and started to mimic Julie, calling Alex's name, Luke was impressed and a little disturbed at how much he resembled her.

"So I'm guessing you trick Alex and we ambush him?" Luke asked and Reggie gave him a proud smile.

"Genius." Carlos said.

Alex's POV

Alex and Julie had split up to sneak around in the other team's area, so when he heard her calling to him already, he was immediately wary. She was squatting behind the shelf that held the church's individual mailing boxes, beckoning to him. As he got closer Alex determined that something was off, just as something moved behind him.

"What the hell-" Luke wrapped him in a bear hug from behind, "WHAT IS HAPPENING?"

The 'Julie' who had lured him in stood up and revealed himself. "You just got Regina'd bitch." Reggie flipped his hair, sashaying past Alex.

Alex pulled away from Luke, spinning on him with an accusatory point of his finger.

"You had this planned all along didn't you, you little shit?"

"ALEX!" Reggie called to him femininely from down the hall, still swinging his hips.

"You can't keep Regina waiting man," Luke patted him on the back and smiled broadly, backing out of the door that led to the south side of the building. Alex sighed, wondering what he had done to deserve this and silently wishing Julie and Flynn good luck.

Flynn's POV

The ten minutes were up and Flynn switched positions with Julie after the other girl came up to her, expressing that she thought Alex had been caught. She was staying guarded, her inner radar for shifty boys turned all the way up. Just before Flynn rounded the doorway into the room with the big picture windows and attached mini-kitchen, her radar went off, telling her to wait.

A second later Luke slipped in from the opposite door.

Flynn stayed there until he had nearly rounded the table in the center of the room, streaking out from her hiding spot when he glanced behind him. Luke whipped around just in time, springing backwards, surprise painting his face. He jerked a chair away from the others, spinning it towards her, putting the table between them. Flynn regained herself after the seat flinging, she and Luke circling each other.

"Rude!" She exclaimed.

"So sorry," he said, but she doubted that, "hey, that was pretty cool how you tackled Reggie."

"Nuh uh, don't go turning that charm on me ghost boy. Just because Jules gets distracted by you doesn't mean I will."

She could tell that got his attention and felt a little guilty for calling out her bestie like that. Luckily he didn't comment on it. Instead he grinned at her devilishly and said, "eh I'd say my odds are still pretty good."

For the tiniest second, to which she'd never admit to anyone, Flynn was indeed distracted. Damn Julie and their similar taste in guys.

"Sure Luke. Now get out of here before I decide to hop this table."

He just gave her a shrug that said whatever and backed out of the room. As soon as he was gone Flynn hurried back, to Julie, worried that there was an ulterior motive to Luke's stalling.

Julie's POV

"Try me Reginald, you aren't getting this flag." Julie said, poised to defend her charge.

"Oh, ho. Come at me, Julia." He rolled up his sleeves, shaking out his shoulders and crouching into an athletic stance.

"You first. And it's Julie."

Reggie was rounding over to her left, eyeing the gap between her and the wall. A commotion sounded from down the hall and Flynn sprinted into the gym.

"Watch out!" She pointed to something behind Julie, and she turned to find Luke dangerously close to the flag, whom she'd had no idea was even in there.

Suddenly everyone broke into action.

Julie lunged at Luke who hopped easily out of reach, realizing her mistake just as Reggie slipped in after her and snatched the bright flag. Both of the girls yelled in disdain as Flynn moved to block his path. For a moment Julie was hopeful but Reggie zig-zagged around her, slicing his way to the exit.

Flynn was hot on Reggie's tail as Julie tried to intercept him. She was within feet of the thief just as Luke jumped in front of her, cutting her off. She had to slam on the breaks to keep from barreling into him, annoyance bubbling in her chest.

"Youuuu," she scrunched her nose distastefully, scowling.

He just laughed, allowing her to smack his arm in a tag and force him to sit out on the stage. Reggie and Flynn were gone, and Julie already knew they had lost.

Not too long after that everyone else came into the gym, Reggie and Carlos brandishing both flags. Luke joined the two, whooping and celebrating. While they hopped around in a circle, rather obnoxiously in Julie's opinion, she consolidated with Alex and Flynn.

"I'm sorry guys, they Regina'd me." Alex shook his head wearily and Julie opted out of asking.

"That doesn't matter anymore. What does is that we're tied now and there's one round left." Julie rested her hands on Flynn and Alex's shoulders, looking between the two. "No mercy."
