A/N. REVIEWS!

"aw, nice fluff. So I am guessing Pertemis started Post-war, right? Otherwise, I dont think this was possible. And another wonderful story, keep it up!" -KryptonWrites

Depends on what you classify as pertemis. Them actually dating, then it hasn;t happened yet. Them liking each other, that started to happen before, but wasn't acted upon until the last chapter. The pairing for the story, that's been it the entire time, lol.

Thanks!

"Maseratis are pretty loud. If you get the revs up high it'll probably scare some." -MasterTrident

Well, shit. We'll just say that Apollo gave the car a magical blessing that makes it quiet. There we go lmao

"Yeah Hybrid cars are the quieter ones compared to other engines, and while I have never even sat my ass in a Maserati I'm positive the Spyder isn't a hybrid.

However, that's some good stuff at the end, I really liked the stargazing moment." -8MexicanJaegar

So I've since been told, oh well.

Thanks, it wasn't originally going to be that and actually ended with Percy and Artemis going to the Underworld, but Zaeng_ said that it rushed there, so I changed it to that. (Her idea was to make them sleep in the car, I changed it to stargazing then sleeping).

"Loved it perfect chapter keep the updates coming" -HellraiderS

Thank you, will do!

"Great update!" -PhantomFuryJP

Thanks!

"My thoughts are that i liked that chapter a lot but am too damn tired to say more than that. And thanks of course for the update" -Ladis11

Thank you, and you're welcome. Hope you slept well!

"Zaeng is very cool, awesome, and amazing~one of ur 18 so s

Yeah, she's the best. Ima be honest, past the little squiggly, I have no idea what you're saying. But you are right, I'm one ugly SOB, but you're my child so… lol.

ONTO THE CHAPTER!

Chapter Ten

"GODS OF OLYMPUS! HEAR OUR DECREE! COME OUT OR BE DESTROYED!"

And with the declaration of war announced, the Gigantomachy began.

The Guardians turned to look at the owner of the voice. The gruff voice matched the gigante who owned it. Porphyrion, Zeus adversary.

Behind the Guardians, the sound of many footsteps echoed off the walls of the temples that surrounded them. When they turned around, they saw the twelve Olympians standing at their godly heights, dressed in battle armor, weapons at the ready.

"We've come out, now leave." Zeus said, gripping his Master Bolt.

"We're not leaving." Porphyrion said. "We've been promised the world, and we intend to make good on that promise. And I'll make sure to take your sweet Hera as my queen."

Zeus put an arm in front of Hera. "And who promised you that?"

"The Earth Mother herself, GAIA!"

There were only five other gigantes, who all cheered at the mention of their mother.

The leader was obviously Porphyrion, the bane of Zeus. He was taller than the rest of the Gigantes, standing at about forty feet. He was muscular, looking like a modern-day bodybuilder. He was humanoid from the waist up and had green dragon legs from the waist down. Bronze armor covered his chest, but his arms weren't, which showed his ripped muscles and bulging veins as he held his spear tightly. His skin was the color of lima beans. His hair was the color of leaves in the summer. His green locks were braided into long sections with various weapons—Swords, axes, and daggers. The weapons were either covered in blood or bent, hinting at the terrible fate of each weapon's wielder's fate.

On Porphyrion's right was Polybotes, Poseidon's bane. He was shorter than Porphyrion, standing at only about thirty feet. His legs were similar to those of a Komodo dragon. From the waist up, he was also humanoid, with a greenish-blue breastplate covering his chest. Depictions of various monsters' faces were carved into the metal. His green hair had basilisks hanging out like lice, and contrasted well with his light blue skin. He leaned against his trident, but he wasn't relaxed.

On the other side of the Gigante King was Enceladus, the bane of Athena. He was a little shorter than Polybotes, standing at thirty feet as well. His humanoid chest was clad in bronze armor, which matched his bronze skin.. He had dreadlocks blacker than coal with bones woven tightly throughout. His eyes were milky white. He had green dragon legs from the waist down. He, like his king, wielded a spear the size of a flagpole.

On the right of Polybotes was Mimas, the anti-Hephaestus. He was the shortest giant of them all, only about twenty-five feet tall. His skin, dragon legs, and hair were as black as midnight, and his hair was slick with oil. His armor was also black, as was his massive sledgehammer.

On the left of Enceladus was Periboia, the enemy of Aphrodite. She was the only female giant, but was nevertheless among the taller giants, standing at a height of thirty feet tall. She too wore bronze armor. Her dragon legs were green, and her hair was styled in one long braid. She was just as big and burly as the rest of the giants, and held a hunting knife as long as a longsword.

Standing behind the rest of the giants was Hippolytus, the bane of Hermes. Unlike the rest of his brethren, he didn't wear armor, opting for clothing made of sheep's wool. His hair was slicked back and golden chains hung around his neck. Both his skin and his dragon legs were a fiery orange.

"There's not a lot of them, huh?" Hermes joked to Dionysus.

Porphyrion snarled. "Because of you, some of our brethren have already been stucken down. And that damn fool, Damasen is now in Tartarus for refusing to fight."

"That's a bummer." Apollo said.

"ENOUGH!" Polybotes slammed his trident on the ground. " I tire of this nonsense. I have a God to kill." He said, glaring at Poseidon, brandishing his trident at him.

"I agree Uncle." Periboia said.

"Olympians! TO BATTLE!" Zeus decreed, raising his Master Bolt.

What happens next happens all at once. To properly show what happens, the story is going to focus on one fight until all six are covered. Starting with Zeus and Hera's fight with Porphyrion.

Zeus started the fight by blasting Porphyrion with his Master Bolt, blasting him off of Olympus. He and Hera, along with their Guardians followed him, summoning their war chariots and riding down to the moral realm to face off with Zeus' bane.

Porphyrion rose among the meadows where he landed. He grunted as he rose to his feet. The sound of horses from above drew his attention. Riding in a war chariot was his nemesis, the chariot pulled by four horses made of wind, each one corresponding to the four winds—Boreas, Notus, Zephyros, and Eurus.

Zeus hurled another bolt of lightning at the gigante, only for Porphyrion to deflect it off of the tip of his spear. The God of Lightning pulled the reins, making the horse head directly up to avoid the lightning. Alexandra held the side of the chariot to prevent herself from falling out of it.

Hera and Ryan reached the ground and jumped out of her chariot. Her peacocks pulled the chariot around, serving as a distraction. Pophyrion wasn't that much of an idiot though and ignored the empty chariot. He stabbed down at Ryan, who leapt out of the way of the gigante's strike. The tip of the spear dug into the ground. He pulled out his sword and grabbed the shaft of his enemy's spear.

"What do you think you're doing?" Porphyrion asked the Guardian. He reached and tried to grab Ryan, only for the gigante to fall forward, having been struck in the back by Zeus's lightning.

Alexandra hopped out of the chariot as it touched the ground. The chariot took off into the air again, Zeus showering the gigante in lightning as he flew in circles above him.

Hera drew a dagger and approached Porphyrion. The gigante stood up and faced the Queen of Olympus. "C'mon babe. You don't have to do this." He said.

"No, but I want to."

"Fine then." He charged at Hera with no weapon, as his spear was still stuck in the ground.

He didn't get far as a blade sunk into the back of his knee. He collapsed onto the grass as ichor stained the green grass gold. Ryan pulled the sword out of the gigante's flesh as Hera struck him across the face with her dagger, drawing a line of ichor.

The sound of a sickening crack came from nearby, but no one noticed.

Zeus fired a lightning at Porphyrion's chest. He took the strike like a champ though, and still tried to rise.

He grunted in pain as he tried to rise, only to be stabbed in both the foot and the side at the same time by Ryan and Alexandra. The gigante breathed heavily, only clinging to life by sheer force of will.

Zeus grasped his Master Bolt and threw it down on the gigante again. This time, Porphyrion finally died as the lightning electrocuted him inside and out. He glared up at Zeus hatefully as he crumbled into dust.

LINE BREAK

Next up is Poseidon and Demeter against Polybotes. While Zeus had blasted his enemy off of Olympus, the Sea God had no such luxury. He couldn't exactly shoot a blast of water out of his trident when he was on a mountaintop, now could he?

He met the gigante in battle, tridents clashing. The sounds of the others fighting rung around him. Polybotes stepped back and swung his trident in an arc, attacking Poseidon from the side. The God met the strike with his own trident and swung the butt of it with, cracking the gigante under the chin. The gigante's head shot up, only for him to bring it back down, facing Poseidon.

His lips split into a grin as he shook his hair, a couple of basilisks falling out. The little bastards slithered towards Poseidon. One was stabbed by Hana, who impaled the snake looking monster in the head.

Branches grew from the nearest garden and entangled the rest of them. Their skin was corrosive however, and started to burn the branches. Burne and Hana quickly killed the rest before they could escape their wooden prisons.

"You can't beat me!" Polybotes boasted. "My very touch turns water to poison!"

Poseidon swung his trident again, only for Polybotes to block and counter with a jab that impaled the tip of the trident's left point into Poseidon's shoulder. The God grimaced in pain before stumbling back.

Burne came forward with his scythe. It wasn't anything large, just a handheld one that looked like a kapesh, but its blade was razor sharp. He rushed the gigante, only to get swatted aside by Polybotes.

Burne flew off of Olympus, falling to the ground below. He landed on his head, his neck snapping with a sickening crack.

Poseidon fell to one knee next to Demeter. Hana was at his other side, watching as Polybotes slowly stalked towards them, arrogant in his stride. Demeter turned to her brother. "I have an idea, but we have to get him on the ground."

Poseidon stood up painfully and looked to Demeter. He nodded at her and faced Polybotes, who had almost reached them. Poseidon rushed the gigante, surprising him. The God's shoulder pushed into the gigante. The monster flew back, landing at the edge of the road. Below him, below the clouds, stood the grassy plains where Zeus and Hera fought Porphyrion. And where Burne's body laid, dead.

Polybotes was teetering over the edge, his head hanging down. The two Gods and one Guardian walked towards the fallen gigante. Once the three reached him, Demeter placed a foot on the gigante, and slowly, teasingly, started to push him off. Polybotes panicked and tried to get up, but there was nothing for him to grasp onto.

Poseidon added his foot to the mix, and together the two Gods pushed the gigante off of Olympus. He fell through the air for a solid thirty seconds before landing on the ground on his back. A noise of pain and shock flew from his lips, a sound that can't be transcribed into words.

The grass around him began to tickle his backside as it grew. A flash of light revealed Demeter and Hana who stalked towards him. Too late, Polybotes realized what was happening. The grass laced over his appendages, pinning him to the ground. Normally grass would be super easy to rip through, but Polybotes just couldn't manage.

Demeter helped Hana climb onto the gigante. She walked across his chest before reaching his throat. She slid her sword over the gigante's Adam's apple, drawing ichor.

The sound of a battle cry came from above, booming throughout the heavens. A small black dot was approaching them, gaining speed every few seconds. As the dot came closer, it slowly turned into a humanoid, then into Poseidon, with his trident pointed downwards.

The yelling got louder as Poseidon reached the gigante, stabbing his trident through the gigante's chest, impaling his heart.

Polybotes went rigid before slowly crumbling to dust.

Zeus and Hera, along with their Guardians were only a bit of distance away, close enough that they could see the end of the fight.

LINE BREAK

Happening at the same time as the rest was the fight between Hephaestus and Ares and Mimas.

Hephaestus summoned a sledgehammer that matched the one Mimas wielded. The God of the Forges and his bane rushed at each other. The sledgehammer was a heavy weapon, and to use one was to heavily telegraph your intentions to your opponent. So when Mimas went for an overhead strike, Hephaestus was ready to move.

Only bad thing? He was slow. His legs were weak, his braces weren't used to moving this much, and he was putting all of his eggs in the basket of being able to move out of the way. Unluckily, the basket broke.

The only good news, instead of getting his head bashed in, he only got a hammer to the arm.

Pipaluk was slashing at the giant's legs, but it didn't seem to affect him in the slightest. Ares and Sade noticed that Hephaestus was already starting to lose, and since his gigante had decided not to fight, he decided to help his girlfriend's husband.

The War God wasn't on Mimas' radar, and was thus able to sneak behind him and slash him across the back. The Gigante roared in pain and turned around. He glared at Ares as Hephaestus took the chance to bash Mimas in the head with his own sledgehammer.

He gigante fell to his knees before falling face down. It was too early to celebrate though, because so far, it was only two gods doing the damage to the Gigante. Which means he wasn't going to die from those two. He breathed heavily as he stood back up.

Ares raised his sword and slammed the pummel of its hilt into the head of the gigante. Hephaestus raised his sledgehammer and swung down on his back, making a crack as the gigante's spine cracked. He moaned in pain. He almost wished he could die from just the two Gods.

Sade walked up to the gigante and climbed up his arm, struggling to find places to grip. She finally made it and located where his heart would be. She plunged her sword into Mimas's body.

Hephaestus swung one final time on Mimas's head, caving it in and leaving ichor and brains on the road, before Mimas slowly turned to dust underneath them.

LINE BREAK

The battle our main character took part in was Athena and Artemis V Enceladus. The gigante tested the waters and jabbed at Athena with his spear. Athena's guardian, Gary, ran behind her and around the temples to their right, ending up behind Enceladus.

Artemis and Percy followed suit, breaking off with Gary in favor of climbing a palace to have a better vantage point to fire arrows from. They ended up climbing Apollo's, the golden palace (read: monstrosity) shining light into any passerbys. On a normal day, of course. And this was anything but. But the shining qualities still worked in the Archers' favor, as it would keep Enceladus from looking over at them often.

Athena blocked Enceladus's jab with her shield, Aegis, and responded with a jab of her own. The gigante stepped back out of range of her spear. He felt a prick of pain as something hit him in the back of the head. He felt around the back of his head and pulled out a tiny little prick. He examined it. It was a tiny little arrow. He dropped it and forgot about it.

Athena jabbed again while he was distracted. He didn't see it coming until he dropped the arrow, but it was too late. He was able to move out of the way of the worst of the jab, but the spearhead still stabbed him in his side through the bronze armor he wore.

She removed the spear roughly, ichor staining her spear. Gary was slashing at the gigante's legs. If you noticed a trend with the Guardians and stabbing the legs of the Gigantes, it's because they can't reach anywhere else.

Artemis and Percy were still firing arrows at Enceladus, but the Gigante was ignoring them now, after having paid the price for paying attention to them.

Percy sighed and turned to Artemis. "He's ignoring us. Any ideas?"

Artemis pursed her lips. "One."

The Goddess of the Hunt drew one arrow and spoke a quick couple of words. She nocked it and fired. As the arrow flew through the air it grew larger without losing any speed. Artemis's aim was true as it slammed into the back of Enceladus's head.

Athena almost jumped in shock when her bane's forehead had a golden spike protruding out of it. She took advantage of the situation and kicked the Gigante, knocking him onto his back. She slammed her spear into his shoulder, pinning him to the ground.

But what she didn't know was that Gary was still behind the Gigante, and was actually about to retreat when Athena kicked him.

Artemis and Percy jumped off of the palace and slid down the sloped walls down to the ground. Percy rushed over to the pinned Gigante, Artemis following not far behind. He drew his knife from his leg sheathe and stuck it in his jaw as he jumped and grabbed onto Enceladus's dreads and started climbing.

He dodged the Gigante's hands as he reached his forehead and started to run along his face. He took his knife out of his mouth and got on his knees without stopping. He slid on his knees as he stuck the blade into Athena's bane's chest and pulled it with him, drawing a line of blood.

Athena pulled her spear out and brought it down on the Gigante again, stabbing him in the face, right below Artemis's arrow.

The giant crumbled into dust that blew away in the wind, revealing the crushed, dead body of Gary.

Percy and Artemis looked sad at the death of one of the Guardians. Athena looked indifferent to his demise, her gray eyes scanning the guardian's broken body.

LINE BREAK

Apollo jumped at the chance to help Aphrodite with her bane, Periboia. Lydia and Ignacio brandished their bow and spear respectively.

Periboia charged forward and slashed her knife at Aphrodite. The Gigantess was quick, too quick for her bulky size. While the other gigantes had speed that suited them for their size–slow, it was clear that the Bane of Aphrodite didn't skip leg day. Good on her, having healthy workout habits and all.

Aphrodite dodged the strike with the grace of a swan, and rolled underneath the gigantess. She shot her hand out at her, summoning a dule of doves to fly in the face of Periboia. The gigantess waved her hand in front of her face, like the doves were nothing more than a smelly fart.

A golden arrow suddenly entered her eye, making her scream out in agony. She dropped her knife. Ignacio charged with his spear, going unnoticed by the gigantess, who was trying to dig the arrow out of her eye, which was leaking ichor all over her. Ignacio managed to get behind her and drove his spear into the back of her knee, bringing her down.

Another golden arrow flew into Periboia's chest. Ichor was seeping out of several wounds, but she still lived. She steadily stood up and raised her fists.

Aphrodite grew to an even bigger size, matching Periboia's thirty feet. A God could grow to this height, but it wasn't comfortable. Hence why they like their twelve feet height the most. But for fisticuffs, Aphrodite was more than willing to be uncomfortable in order to up her chances.

Periboia threw a right jab at Aphrodite, only for the Love Goddess to duck and counter with a jab of her own, one that connected to the gigantess's stomach. She doubled over as Aphrodite stood up and kicked the gigantess where she was clutching her stomach, knocking her over.

The Goddess summoned some more doves. They perched on Periboia and started to peck at her, taking tiny bits of flesh.

Ignacio came up to the screaming gigantess and stabbed her in the side with his spear. He walked back, having done his part. He was over fighting alongside Aphrodite and just wanted to leave.

A golden arrow came from above and nailed Periboia in the head. She went rigid before collapsing into golden dust.

LINE BREAK

Last but not least, was Hermes and Dionysus against Hippolytos. Honestly, this was barely even going to be a fight. First of all, Hermes is the God of Speed, so his opposite would be?

Slow. Super slow.

Do I need to go on? Do you really want to read about how four people ganged up on one slow gigante? It was literally easier than stealing candy from a baby.

By the time Hippolytos even took one step, Hermes had run circles around him, smacking him several times with his caduceus. He took a step back and activated laser mode on his caduceus. The snakes on his symbol, George and Martha, cheered at this news.

After Hermes fired a few lasers at Hippolytos, Dionysus waved one of his hands, making grape vines grow from one of the nearby gardens. They wrapped around Hippolytus's limbs. He fell face first onto the marble road.

The gigante sighed. "Honestly, at this point, just fuckin kill me."

Hermes shrugged.

Zara and Tangela came forward and gave him cuts on both of his sides. Then Hermes and Dionysus raised their weapons and brought them down at the same time.

A quiet "Thank you" left Hippolytos's lips as he disintegrated into dust.

As the last of the dust settled to the floor, flashes of light appeared on that street. All twelve Olympians and only ten Guardians survived. Only two casualties, and the Gods didn't even look sad, bar Artemis.

"Well, I think that went well." Zeus said, raising his thunderbolt. "Now, let's get back to the throne room. I think our Guardians here deserve a reward for their duty!"

A/N. Imma be straight honest with you, by the end of this chapter, I was exhausted and just done with writing it. I tried for the last battle, but I just didn't have it in my heart to take that one seriously. Like honestly, how many ways can I describe the same thing happening six times? The gigantes had to die by being wounded by the demigod, then the God dealing the finishing blow. How many different times can I make that fresh? So I decided to take the funny route and 4th wall break for the last one.

It probably doesn't help that my mental health is starting to deteriorate slowly. Nothing to do with writing, I think, more just the fact that I'm coming to terms with the fact that my life is going to change drastically in five months, finally realizing that I am going to die at some point and I have no idea what happens after death… Basically, I've been feeing shitty for the last week.

In other news, I bought a lyre and I'm learning to play it! (It's actually really easy, but whatever.) It sounds so pretty, I'm in love with it. It's only a 7-string one, not a 16, so I can't do too much with it in terms of playing songs, but I think that's for the best right now. I just want to learn and make sure that this isn't something that I'm gonna drop in two days like most everything else I do.

Also, I now have my own update channel in the Pertemis Discord server! Thanks to them over there! Here's the link to join: discord /MeGU37xvsk

Thanks to Zaeng_ for reading through this and editing it!
