Chapter 2
"Did you get a text from mom?" I asked next and Ben shook his head. "Grace didn`t text either." He said confused. "That's so unlike them." We said in union and laughed. We figured they were still upset because we chose to take the later flight. Mom usually would check up on us anyways, no matter how upset she was but Grace was known for moping for a while.
"I`ll take a cab to Jared`s. I`ll see you guys' day after tomorrow?" I asked Ben. Cal had to go to the clinic and I was supposed to watch Olive.
"Yes. Olive needs to be picked up at 3."
"I will get her. Bye Cal, I love you!"
"Love you too auntie Mick." God how much I loved that kid. He has always been such a special boy and somehow, we have always shared a special connection. I`d do anything for him.
I didn`t bring Jared`s keys to Jamaica so I rang the doorbell. Few seconds later I found myself in Jared`s arms, felt his lips on mine, his hands on my back and the door closed with a loud bang. Neither of us cared.
"You really said yes?" He asked breathless moving a stray of hair out of my face.
"YES." kiss. "YES." another kiss and I barely recognize the excited, loud and determined third "YES!" as my own before I jumped him and he carried me to his bedroom.
An hour and a half later the doorbell rang and we tried to ignore it. I was passed out on top of Jared admiring the engagement ring on my finger. With one hand Jared was playing with my hair, the second one stroke up and down my back sending a tingling feeling through my whole body. The doorbell rang again, and again and eventually was replaced with loud banging.
"I`m going to kill that moron." Jared groaned and I rolled off him. "I`ll go." I pecked his lips, then got out of bed and put on Jared`s shirt, left the bedroom while closing some of the buttons. Jared followed me a few seconds later in briefs. "Wait, Mick." He`s so protective of me but I already recognized Ben through the peephole.
