Submarine Attack Part 2

[Above the Atlantic ocean : 07/12/1995]

01:34 P.M.

POV : Superman

I was flying over the Atlantic Ocean, next to me was a SHIELD aircraft, and inside was the royal family of Atlantis.

"You know, when you called me I really believed that it would be something on the level of a living Island again, but this time you exceeded my expectations." I say remembering the talk with Fury.

"We're getting close to the secret passage Man of the Skies, so we'll be able to land soon." Doctor Chen said through the communicator.

"Understood." I replied.

Soon we landed on a remote island, there didn't seem to be any intelligent life around, Doctor Chen then guided us to what appeared to be just a mountain wall.

"I can't see anything behind the wall." I mean using my X-Ray vision, just stone in sight.

"Sleep if you would be kind." Chen asked, Lady Dorma stood in front of us.

Her hands glowed with blue energy, and soon Roman runes appeared on the wall and formed a doorway.

"Atlantean magic is Dorma's specialty, we use this path to quickly leave Lemuria, but I guarantee that every city will be surrounded by Attuma's men." Doctor Chen explained.

01:45 P.M.

When we passed through the luminous door we were in what looked like an underground temple, I couldn't feel the breeze anymore so we weren't on the surface anymore.

"This is a temple below the outskirts, one of the secret spots that only the King and Queen have access to, so feel honored, air breather." Namora said.

"Well, technically you also breathe air, only the oxygen found in the sea." I responded with a scientific retort, Namora shuts up after that with a sulky face.

I could hear Dorma let out a small laugh.

"We need to get to the dungeons, that's where Krang probably put my son." Chen then proceeded to lead us out of the temple.

We followed discreetly, trying not to attract attention, luckily Dorma was a great magician and covered us with a camouflage spell. But we still had to be careful, the city was under martial law and several men were flying over keeping watch over the population.

I didn't like it, but if I wanted to stop a war from spreading then I should focus on the objective, we continued slowly until we entered the palace.

Namora and I were responsible for taking down the guards, while Dorma maintained the cloaking spell and Chen guided our way. We managed to get to an area that led into what I thought was the dungeon.

"We just need the access key now." Chen said taking out a kind of key, but much more ornate, but when she tried to put it in the lock it didn't work.

"Damn it!!, Krang must have switched access." Chen said cursing the Warlord.

"Yes I did it." A voice says behind us.

We turned around in surprise, Dorma's spell was still active after all.

"Don't look so surprised Chen, you know I've always been one step ahead, I even imagined you'd go after your former allies on the surface." Warlord Krang was behind us, pointing a very advanced pistol.

"But I expected a bigger team." he said, obviously taking me lightly.

That was his mistake, as two beams of color shot from my eyes, aiming and destroying his pistol, and lightly burning his hand.

"ARGH!!" He screamed in pain.I flew as fast as I could and hit him in the face with a punch, sending him to the wall and breaking it slightly.

"Superhero rules, always attack the villain while he's in the monologue." I say with a smile.Chen comes to us and started looking for the passkey, but in the end she couldn't find it.

"Without the key we can't open the..." I didn't let her finish.I simply went to the huge gate, grabbed both sides with my hands, then a huge electric current ran through me, strong enough to make my muscles tremble a little, but in the end I managed to pull the huge gate off.

Smoke came out of me, the three looked at me worried, but I just gave a thumbs up.

"I see Fury didn't lie when he said you were perfect for the job." Chen said smiling at me.

We then entered the dungeon, it looked like something out of a movie about ancient Rome, which is ironic considering the origin of Namor's name, as we entered the darkest area Dorma illuminated the area with an orb of light.

I was in front since I could see easily in the dark, but what I didn't expect was to receive a punch in the middle of my face, it wasn't strong enough to hurt me, but it managed to push me away slightly.

"Attuma!!" The man who punched me screamed.

"My son!!" Chen shouted happily.

"Mom ?!" Namor replied confused, but soon the light illuminated our features for him.

"Lady Dorma and Namora too? in Neptune's name what are you doing here!?" He said as he held his mother who hugged him.

"We came to save you, you Seaweed Brain." Namora replied, standing in front of her cousin.

"I see my abduction has not diminished your tongue my cousin." Namor said sighing.

"Glad to see you, your Majesty." Dorma said with a small smile.

Namor didn't smile, but from looks that spoke to him, he would say that if no one was looking, he would do many things with the lady.

"Lady Dorma, I am glad to see you safe." Namor said the Atlantean mage.

"Eh... is anyone going to comment on the unnecessary punch?" I ask drawing attention to myself.

The look Namor gave me made it look like he wanted more than to punch me.

"Be glad I don't make more surface dwellers, just the sacrilege of you stepping on my land would be a serious crime!" Namor said trying to sound intimidating.

"Namor!!" But her mother tugging on his elf ear lessened the effect quite a bit.

"This young man helped us rescue you and is willing to stop Attuma and save his people, at least show some decency!!" Doctor Chen to the rescue!!

"But!! mom he's a surface dweller!!" Namor tried to argue.

"It doesn't matter, apologize and thank you, you are a King, act like one!" After these words Namor looked around for support, but the two remaining women looked away.

Sigh*"On behalf of Atlantis and its people, I Namor Rightfully King of Atlantis and its people thank you, and..." He left it open.

"AND...?" I ask with a smile, he frowns.

"And...sorry for the violence earlier, it was unworthy of a King's attitude." He finished.

"Don't be so majesty, I'm always willing to help, but now we need to stop Attuma's armada." I mean seriously.

"It will not be necessary." He said raising his hand.

"What do you mean my son?!" Chen asks in surprise.

"My uncle has many faults, and one of them is his need to talk about his megalomaniac plans, he intends to use the Atlantean weapon on the North Pole, he intends to flood the world at once." Namor declared, as Dorma ripped the chains off with magic.

"Ok, that's bad, I have property in that region." I try to lighten the mood, but I can't even calm down properly.

"No panic, the weapon takes a while to activate, but we must hurry, or the world will be swallowed by a huge wave." Namor said, leaving the dungeon we didn't forget to arrest Krang, the chained one.

And now we were making our way to one of the gates that lead as close as possible to the North Pole weapon, I still want to see that thing destroyed, who would have thought that would be a good idea?
