One year later in the city of Brooklyn, New York, Mario and Pauline have officially moved into the city and Mario seems to enjoy it in the city as he is working as a carpenter. "Boy, is it hot out here!" Mario said as he is sweating. Mario's boss approaches to inform Mario "It's quitting time, Mario!" then Mario said "Okey dokey!"
As they get done for the day, Mario gets his stuff together including his lunch. Then, Pauline arrives. "Well, hello, beautiful." he said. "I'm glad you're enjoying the city of Brooklyn." said Pauline. "I'm really glad I thought about it." said Mario "Louisiana was boring, anyway."
then Pauline said "I knew you would like it" then she said to Mario, "So, are you ready to go to the circus?" Mario realized "Oh, crap! I almost forgot about that! Let's a go!"
As they arrive to a nearby circus, Mario and Pauline look at the animals in their cages for their circus act. The first animal they see is a grizzly bear. "Aren't they adorable, Mario?" Pauline asked him. "They're very cool, I would say." said Mario. Then they approach one with a big brown gorilla in the cage. "Would you look at that one!" Pauline gasped. Mario also sees the gorilla and gouges out his eyes. "That must be the famous Donkey Kong!" he said. "Mario?" said Pauline. "I would like a picture with me and the gorilla!" Then Mario said, "Okey dokey!"
Mario gets out his phone to begin to take the picture and as the gorilla named Donkey Kong sees Pauline, he somehow manages to punch out the bars off the cage so hard and then marches to Pauline and grabs her and drags her away. Then Pauline starts screaming, "Mario!" Mario then replied "I'm coming, Pauline!" Mario starts chasing down Donkey Kong to giant building he was working on and Donkey Kong starts climbing up and dragging her up the building with him. As he makes it to the top near the barrels, he starts getting ferocious and pounding his chest and roaring. "Mario, help me!" Pauline screamed. The gorilla grabs a barrel and throws it down. Mario then dodges the barrel as it crashes on the ground. "You're not taking her from me, Donkey Kong!" Mario growled. Then, Mario starts rushing to the elevators to reach the top of the building. The gorilla is still getting furious and angry. "Please hurry, Mario." said Pauline in fear.
Mario finally reaches the top of the building and sees the gorilla. Donkey Kong sees Mario for the first time and starts roaring at him. "Stay calm, Pauline!" Mario said "I'll figure out a way to save you!" Then, Donkey Kong grabs a barrel and throws it toward Mario. Mario dodges the barrel as he's slowly walking toward the gorilla and Pauline.
Down below on the ground the police squad, ambulance, firetrucks, and he SWAT Team arrive to the scene with a rocket launcher and aim at the gorilla. The SWAT team just fired the rocket launcher at the building but unaware there are people up there. he rocket hits part of the building causing it to start collapsing. Pauline then screamed again "Mario!" As it starts collapsing, Donkey Kong and Pauline end up falling with the building. Mario watches them fall all the way down while he's in shock. Mario then screamed "Noo!" Mario realizes it was too late to save Pauline as he is shedding tears.
