As Mario and Luigi both start sliding down the pipe, they finally shoot out of the pipe start flying around and lands on a hill of sand and then the pipe lowers and disappears. Mario and Luigi lift themselves up and finds himself in what appears to be a desert. "Okay. I have a feeling that we're in Las Vegas now." Luigi assumed. Luigi then realizes something. "Mario?" he called "Right here, Luigi!" Mario answered "Where are we?" Luigi asked. "I don't know." Mario replied "It appears that we are in a desert." Luigi shook his head as he is all confused "We came here through a sewer pipe from New York!"
Then, the pipe raises up and the two Koopa Troopas jump right out and stand behind the Mario Brothers. "Got you now, plumbers!" said Red. Mario and Luigi turned around and see the Koopa Troopas for the first time and Luigi screams and hides behind Mario. "Mario! Save me!" Luigi said in fear. "Come on, Green! Let's attack them!" Red commanded. Red and Green start charging at them with their shells and Mario and Luigi dodge quickly. "Who the heck are you guys?!" shouted Mario. Green charges at Mario and Mario leans back and dodges his attack. Red headlocks Mario. Mario starts struggling to shake the Koopa Troopa off of him. "We are the Koopa Troopas!" Red introduced. "Well, you Koopa Troopas are messing with the wrong plumber!" said Mario. Mario rolls forward and throws Red into a pit of quicksand slowly sinking him in. "Green! Help me!" Red cried "You know Lord Bowser's rule." said Green "None of his army is allowed to help each other with they're sinking in quicksand." Then Luigi creeps up from behind Green "Why don't you join him?!" said Luigi pushing the Green Koopa Troopa in the quicksand. "You two will regret this!" said Green. Green then gets swallowed up in the sand. "You'll never defeat the Great Lord Bowser!" said Red. The quicksand swallows Red up as well. Mario and Luigi watches them gets sucked in. "Well." said Mario "That went well."
Then, Mario and Luigi start exploring around the desert to find something to get them back to Brooklyn. "There's something strange about this desert." said Luigi "Why do you say that?" Mario asked. "I just have a feeling we're in Vegas." Mario rolled his eyes and turned to Luigi. "A life-sized turtle just brought us to Las Vegas." he said sarcastically. "Well, why else would we be here?" Luigi asked. Mario ignored the question and then saw something up ahead. "Luigi, look!" said Mario all surprised. They see what appears to be an outpost town. "It's an outpost." said Luigi. "Maybe the people in there could help us." said Mario "Well, let's go in." said Luigi as they both started marching the town.
They enter the outpost and notice strange looking people. "Whatever you do," Mario warned Luigi "Don't stare." Luigi then whispered "They're mushroom people." Then, they get approached by a 10 foot mouse. "Excuse me, sir." said the mouse. Luigi sees the mouse and then screams "Ah! Giant mouse!" The mouse asked "Would you mind sparing a coin for me?" Mario then tried answering "We're actually..." Luigi cuts off Mario and starts throwing all the pennies, quarters, nickels and dimes at him at the mouse "Here! Take it all! Leave me alone!" Luigi shouted as he starts running away and hiding behind a crate having a panic attack and Mario marches over to him. "What's wrong, Luigi?" Mario asked. "There are monsters here!" Luigi said while shaking. "Luigi, I'm right here with you." Mario said calming him. "Now, come on." he demanded. "We gotta find someone who can help us." Luigi gets up and walks with Mario and sees the other citizens looking at him and Mario. "They're staring at us." said Luigi while exploring the town. "Just act natural." Mario suggested "Why don't we split since this is a small town?" Then Luigi answered "Sure." Mario then asked "Do you have your phone?" Luigi takes out his phone and discovers that there's no signal. "Yeah but no signal." he said to Mario who sighs "Just don't get lost." Mario begged.
As the Mario and Luigi split, Mario walks on the other side and then finds what appears to be a bar with music playing. Mario walks in and sees a lot of the mushroom citizens. "At least they play the good music." he said to himself. Mario walks over to the front to a bigger guy as the bartender. "Never seen a guy like you before." said the bartender. "I never seen a guy like you before, either." said Mario. "What can I get you?" the bartender asked "I'll take a beer." Mario replied. "And I'll need an answer of where I am." Then the bartender answered "This is Dry Dry Outpost. A gorgeous place to..." Mario cut him off and asks "No. What land am I on? That's what I'm asking! Am I in Egypt? Saudi Arabia? Las Vegas? New Mexico?" Then the bartender answered "Dry Dry Desert." Mario then rolls his eyes "You're still not answering my question!" he said and then he heard an unfamiliar voice "This land is called Dry Dry Desert." Mario turns sees an old walking mushroom with a white mustache and a cane. "You're not from this world, are you?" the old mushroom guessed. "World?" Mario repeated in question. "This is still Earth... is it not?" Then the old mushroom answered "I can't say I've heard of that planet. So I would say no. You're in the Mushroom World." then he started to introduce himself "By the way, my name is Toadsworth." Mario then introduced by shaking his hand "My name is Mario. Nice to meet you." Then, Toadsworth replied "Same to you. So are you by yourself" Then Mario answered. "Actually, my brother Luigi and I got attacked by couple turtle monsters and then accidentally fell here through a pipe and the pipe is gone now. Now, we need to find a way to get back to Brooklyn." Toadsworth had an idea by places his finger and thumber under his chin. "You know what, Master Mario?" he said "I think I may have a way to help you and your get home. I am a steward for Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom. She can help you get home." Mario makes a surprised expression on his face after what he just heard. "Did you say princess?
