Later at night, Mouser finally wakes up from being unconscious and he finds himself tied to a palm tree while Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth are camping out with a fire. "What the..." he said to himself struggling to break free. "Did you have a good nap?" Mario asked Mouser facing Mario. "Do you realize that knocking someone unconscious during a fair fight is considered cheating?" Mouser asked "Mario You grabbed my brother's neck and you almost killed him." Mouser then said "Come on! Don't take it personal!" Luigi then asked Mouser "Who sent you here?" Then Mouser answered "I told you. I own this desert. So you can't keep me tied up here forever. You don't think I could find my way off these ropes?" Mario sees another red mushroom in Mouser's pocket and grabs it "You either start talking or I will eat this mushroom and get big again and squish you with my boot like a bug." Mario threatened Mouser "Now, who sent you here?" he asked "I've lived here my whole life." said Mouser "Who would send me to place that is my own home?" Mario then accepted the fact that he is from the desert and then he asks "Do you work for Bowser?" Mouser raised his eyebrow all confused "Bowser? I don't know no Bowser." said Mouser. "Stop playing games!" said Luigi harshly. "Even if I knew who Bowser was, I would never tell you!" said Mouser refusing to answer his question. "Okay. Then I guess I'll enjoy this delicious mushroom." said Mario threatening Mouser again. "Okay! Okay! I'll talk!" Mouser said quickly defending himself. "The truth is I really don't know Bowser. I only know his name and I only know some information about Bowser." he explained. "Just tell me all that you know." said Luigi. "He's just some king of his kingdom and he's been having some plans about wanting to kidnap this princess and taking over this Mushroom Kingdom place." Mouser explained. "Wait." said Toadsworth reacting to what Mouser said. "Bowser has a plot to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom?" he asked Mouser. "That's what I heard and that's I know. I swear." Mouser replied. "Now, will you please let me go?" Mario begins to untie him "You better not do something stupid." said Mario. "Cross my heart and hope to die." Mario unties Mouser and Mouser stretches his legs. "Now, start walking and do not come back." Mario demanded. Mouser starts walking away and then Mario joins the camp with Luigi and Toadsworth. "You think he's gonna come back?" Luigi asked. "I highly doubt it." Mario replied
As Mouser is walking away, he gets approached by two Koopa Troopas marching towards him. "Come with us." said the Red Koopa Troopa. "Who are you guys?" Mouser asked. "We're one of Bowser's troops. Come with us now." said Green Koopa Troopa. "I am Mouser and I do not take orders from..." Then Mouser gets whacked in the head by a sledge hammer held by a Hammer Brother knocking him unconscious again.
Back at the camp, Mario and Luigi start having a chat with Toadsworth. "So, tell me where you're from again?" he asked the Mario brothers. "We're from Brooklyn." Mario answered. "But, originally we're from Louisiana." said Luigi. Mario looks at Luigi as he didn't need to hear it. "Thank you, Luigi." he said sarcastically. "I'm really from the Mushroom Kingdom." said Toadsworth. "I can tell" said Mario. "So, where is the Brooklyn Kingdom?" Toadsworth asked. "It's just outside this world." Mario answered. "We came here through a pipe." Then Toadsworth said "I see." Mario then explained "So now, we're hoping we can find a way home by going to the Mushroom Kingdom." Toadsworth then replied. "Don't worry. The Mushroom Kingdom is pretty far. But not too far to catch a train." Toadsworth then looks up in the sky. "It's getting awfully dark." he said "We best get some shut eye." and then Mario and Luigi said "Okydoky!"
