The next day at the desert, Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth finally arrive to a train station. "This train will take us directly to the Mushroom Kingdom." said Toadsworth. "Oh, good." said Luigi "I was ready to get out of this desert." They arrive to the train conductor to board the train. "It's good to see you, Toadsworth!" said the conductor. "Same to you, Ross." Toadsworth replied. "And who are these guys?" Ross asked. "This is Mario and Luigi." said Toadsworth introducing the Mario Brothers. "I'm taking them to the Mushroom Kingdom." Ross smiled and accepted the trip. "Well, climb aboard then!" he said. The Mario Bros. climb aboard the train with Toadsworth and find a seat with a table and take a seat there. "All aboard to the Mushroom Kingdom!" Ross yelled. The train starts moving forward to the destination. Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth remain sitting at a table. A female mushroom waitress arrives. "Would you gentlemen like some refreshments during the trip?" said the waitress. "We have some fried mushrooms, we have garlic spaghetti with mushrooms, we also have very tasty roasted tamale filled with meatball." Mario and Luigi look at each other and smile. "I'll take the tamale!" said Luigi. "I'll have that spaghetti." said Mario smiling at the waitress. The she turns to Toadsworth "And for you, Toadsworth?" Then Toadsworth replied "I'll have the same as his." pointing to Mario. "And can I start off with some beverages?" The Waitress asked. "Water for all of us." said Mario. "Thank you and my name is Rose and I'll be taking care of you while we're on the trip. I'll be back with the drinks." said the waitress writing down the order.
Rose leaves and the Mario Bros. begin to chat with Toadsworth. "So, tell me. What is it like in Brooklyn?" Toadsworth asked. "It's a mighty big city." said Mario "We get a lot of crime at times and we've had disasters before." Then, Toadswroth asked "What kind of disasters?" Then Luigi explained "One I remember was wo tall buildings got hit by two planes and it caused both of them to collapsed."
Mario realized he was talking about the 9/11 and snapped at him "Luigi! A lot of people died in those buildings when they collapsed! You should show some respect!" Mario yelled and turned to Toadsworth. "There was also one incident that happened in Brooklyn that I will never forget." Toadsworth began to listen. "My girlfriend was killed by a gorilla about a year ago and I couldn't think of anything else except for that. So I chased that beast down to kill him after that. But... I couldn't. So I took the blame for myself." Mario explained and then started shaking his head. "Anyway, that's the whole story." Mario said getting over the incident. Then, the waitress returns with their food and drinks. "Yum! That looks good!" said Mario.
As Mario Brothers are having their meal. Mario begins to ask "Now, will the princess be letting us stay for a while until she helps us get home." Then Toadsworth answered "Oh, of course..." Toadsworth looks out the windows and widens his eyes. "Boys!" said Toadsworth "We're here!" They look out the window and notice a beautiful land of mushroom houses and Toad citizens. "Master Mario. Master Luigi. Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom." Toadsworth greeted. They even notice a giant castle. "That's the castle of the Mushroom Kingdom. That's Princess Peach's Castle." said Toadsworth. "Her father King Toadstool retired as a king of the castle about a year ago. So, now Princess Peach is the ruler of the kingdom." Then Mario asks "What got the king to retire? Toadsworth beckons his finger signalling them to get closer for a secret and then he explained "King Toadstool started getting ill about a month before he decided to retire. And today, it's getting a lot worse." Mario starts getting concerned "Wait... he's dying?" he asked. "I'm afraid so." Toadsworth answered.
They finally arrive to the train station and they hop off the train and look all around the place. "This place is neat." said Mario. "Though, I feel like I've been here before." Then, they get interrupted by a Toad. "Hi, there! You must be new in town!" said the Toad introducing himself. "I'm Toad! I'm very happy to have new friendly faces around here! Lemme give you a tour around the whole Toad Town. This is Toad Town, by the way. This whole Mushroom Kingdom is gonna blow you away! You can stay with me at the Toad House and rest before we..." Toadsworth interrupts by clearing his throat. Toad sees Toadsworth. "Oh! Toadsworth! Good to see you!" he said. "Toad. If you don't mind, I'm trying to take these gentlemen to the castle to meet the princess." said Toadsworth. "Oh, I'm sorry, sir. I just like making new friends." said Toad. "I'm sure you do. We must be get going, now." said Toadsworth. As they continue walking toward the castle with Toadsworth explains to Mario and Luigi "Please forgive Toad." he said "He likes meeting new people." Mario nodded and said "So I noticed."
