Luigi wakes up in Princess Peach's bedroom lying on her bed. "Are you okay?" Mario asked Luigi. "I'm okay." Luigi answered. "What happened?" he asked Mario. "You just passed out." Mario replied. Luigi just remembered why he passed out. "Is there something Mama hasn't told us?" he asked. "There is something I haven't told you, yet, brother." Luigi looks at Mario as he knows he's about to tell him something. "What is it?" Luigi asked. Mario reached in his front pocket of his overalls and takes out a note and hands it to Luigi. "It was in the mail at the apartment before we moved out." Mario explained. Luigi reads the letter noticing it is their mother.
The letter reads:
"Dear Mario and Luigi,
If you are reading this letter than it's time you learn the truth. This Mushroom Kingdom is your birth home We were meant to raise you here in the Mushroom Kingdom when you two were born. But we couldn't. We were in danger."
Luigi started shedding tears as he is reading.
"The evil King Bowser tried to kidnap both of you. But thanks to some friends of ours. They brought you boys back safe and sound. But we couldn't stay in the Mushroom Kingdom. Neither would the king. So, we brought to the real world. Earth. After the stork took you boys away to keep you safe, King Bowser killed your father. Now that you boys know the truth and it is your destiny. It's time that you do the favor for the princess and protect the Mushroom Kingdom. Make me proud.

Princess Peach comes inside and sees Mario and Luigi shedding tears. So, she stands and listens to the story Mario is explaining "So, you knew about this all along?" said Luigi. "You set all this up?" he overreacted. "It wasn't the right time." Mario explained. "You knew there was another world!" Luigi shouted at Mario. "That's why Mama sent me to Brooklyn!" Luigi then realized. "What about Pauline?" Luigi asked Mario. "Leave Pauline out of it!" Mario demanded. "No! I demanded to know why would invite you live in Brooklyn!" said Luigi all upset Mario bows his head and begins to explain. "When she asked me to move to Brooklyn with her, I started thinking about Mama was saying about why you and I were brought to real world." Mario explain. "So, that's when I said that..." Mario inhales and exhales as he is shedding tears "I need time to think it over." Luigi looks at Mario as he is listening to the story. "Why was Pauline involved?" Luigi asked. Mario starts moving his head around. "Because she's from another world, too." Mario answered. "So, all this time, you and Mama kept a secret from me?" Luigi assumed. "You already knew about this Bowser and you didn't tell me?!" he shouted while bursting into tears. "We were only protecting you!" Mario exclaimed. "Luigi, none of that matters now." he said to Luigi. Then, Peach interrupts and calls the Mario Brothers. "Supper's ready."
