The next morning, Mario and Luigi join a private funeral in the back of the castle to for their Peach's father. Peach begins speaking to her father while his body is buried underground. "I will make you proud as well, father." said the princess. "I will be the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom as I promised." Toadsworth walks over to the princess takes her hand. "I will take care of you as well as Mario and Luigi will." Peach smiles and says "Thank you, Toadsworth." As they walk inside the castle, Mario begins to say "Since we got that all settled, I'm gonna go check on my suit." Mario starts walking toward the door and then Toad runs inside panicking. "Princess! We have a problem!" Toad shouted "What? What's wrong?!" she asked as she was worried. "It's Bowser! He's on his way!" said Toad "Oh, no!" said Mario. Mario, Luigi and Toadsworth quickly follow Toad to a telescope. Mario looks in it and notices a flying airship approaching. "It's Bowser, all right." said Toadsworth;
The other toads look forward noticing the giant ship approaching. Toadsworth shouts to the toads. "Everyone in the castle! Now!" The other toads quickly start running toward the castle. "Mario! What do we do?" Luigi asked while panicking. "There's only one thing for me to do." said Mario quickly running off. "Mario, come back!" Luigi shouted
Then at the airship, Bowser walks around supervising his troops loading up the cannons. "I want every ammo you got loaded into your cannons and everything else! Hammers! Bullet Bills! Fireballs! Everything you got!" he commanded as the ship gets closer to the Kingdom. "Don't fire until I say!" he said as the ship gets more closer. "Ready!" Bowser shouted and the ship finally reaches the Kingdom. "FIRE!" he shouted once more.
The ship fires at the Mushroom Kingdom and starts shoots half of the village causing explosions. "Hurry! Get in the castle!" Toadsworth shouted at the other toads. "Mario! Where are you?" Luigi shouted as he was panicking.
The ship start shooting the castle while floating towards it "Concentrate your fire on that main door! I want the princess!" Bowser commanded as the cannon shoots out a Bullet Bill as it starts aiming at the main door of the castle and it strikes the door.
The explosion catches Toadsworth's attention "Oh no! The princess!" he said all concerned Toadsworth running to the door to save the princess but then his back starts going out of place causing his to collapse. "Toadsworth!" Luigi shouted running to Toadsworth to help him up. "Don't worry about me, Luigi! Get the princess!" Toadsworth demanded. "I can't leave you!" Luigi yelled "Go! Now!" Toadsworth shouted. Then, Luigi runs inside the castle. Bowser watches him run inside.
Then, Mario quickly runs towards E. Gadd's lab where the professor is standing outside watching the invasion. "The suit is ready, Mario!" said E. Gadd. Mario rushes in the house quickly follows him to the basement. "It's all powered up. Just remember..." said E. Gadd before Mario cut him off "Yes, I understand! Just give it to me!" he shouted as he is in a hurry. They hear glass shattering and then, a Hammer Bro comes in the basement. "Professor Gadd. You're coming with us." said the Hammer Bro "I ain't going anywhere with you, you son of a..." said E. Gadd before Hammer Bro strikes him with his hammer causing him to drop on the ground. "No!" shouted Mario as Hammer Bro sees Mario. He starts stepping back. Hammer Bro takes his hammer and marches to Mario to attack him and then the Hammer Bro gets struck by a beam of fire coming from the fire gun that E. Gadd is holding. "Thanks!" said Mario.
Meanwhile, Toadsworth lies on the ground struggling to move while he's injured, he starts trying to reach for his cane to get himself up. Then it gets stomped on and crushed by the foot of the evil King Bowser. "What's the matter, grandpa?" said Bowser grabbing Toadsworth Not hurting good enough? I can fix that!" Toadsworth starts grunting trying to get away from him "You won't get away with this!" Bowser makes an evil smiles "That's exactly how King Toadstool spoke when I had to strike his queen." he said putting Toadsworth in shock and looking at Bowser. Bowser then puts his hand around his neck. "You... killed... the queen..." said Toadsworth choking to death. "Yes! Now, where is King Toadstool?" Bowser asked while Toadsworth is choking. Bowser then gasped "He's dead. At last, my work is almost complete. Now next are those miserable Mario Bros. right after I get the princess! But before you go." Bowser turns Toadsworth around having him watch the toads' homes get destroyed the Koopa Troopas and the Hammer Bros. and the toads getting captured and dragged into the Airship. "The Mushroom Kingdom is just about finished!" said Bowser
One of the toads look up in the sky. "Look up there!" said the Green Toad as a Hammer Bro is pushing him and then notices up in the sky, there appears to me a man up in the sky flying towards Bowser's direction and then lands right in front of him and shows him as Mario. Then, Bowser squeezes Toadsworth's neck tight killing him immediately and drops him on the ground. Mario watches Bowser walk towards him. "So. You must be the famous Mario I've been hearing about." said Bowser marching towards him. "I'm here to stop you." said Mario charging after him and Bowser grabs his right hand in a fist holding him back. "It hurts, doesn't it?" said Bowser. "Worse!" Mario replied opening his left hand. "It burns!" Mario strikes his head with a fireball. Mario and Bowser get into a big brawl.
As Peach watches Bowser fight Mario from her bedroom, Luigi runs in the room to get the princess out of there. "Princess! We gotta go!" he said to the princess. Peach follows Luigi to escape.
As Mario and Bowser start brawling, Bowser grabs him and slams him to the ground and kicks him sliding a couple feet away from. Bowser gets in his shell and jumps to crush Mario with his spiky shell but Mario dodges quickly. Peach and Luigi run outside and watches Mario and Bowser fight. Peach sees Toadsworth on the ground and gasps as she is shocked that Toadsworth is dead. Peach tries to run and Luigi pulls her back. Bowser then sees Peach and Luigi and grabs Mario throws him over the river and then starts walking towards Luigi and Peach. Luigi stares at him in fear. "You're afraid." said Bowser marching towards him and then he immediately grabs him by the neck. "I will not let you and your brother stand in my way!" Bowser said to Luigi. "Troopas! Get the princess to the ship, now!" he commanded the Troopas grab Peach and starts dragging her away. Then Bowser turns to Luigi choking him "You are one ridiculous pathetic hero I've ever met!" he insulted Luigi and then finally he loses his breath and then he suddenly dies and then he drops him on the ground.
Then, Mario gets himself up from the ground and then notices Bowser leaving and the troops dragging Peach in the ship. That's when Mario sees Luigi laying on the ground realizing something is wrong and then he rushes towards Luigi and realizes that he has died and starts sobbing harder.
