Later, Mario takes off flying on his way to Bowser's Kingdom then he glances at the Airship flying to another destination then he flies towards it. The Airship lands on a big island and a group of Koopas and Hammer Bros get off the ship. Mario sneaks behind them to follow them to see where they're going. They arrive to a village of creatures called nimbuses and then they start throwing hammers at the houses destroying them. The nimbuses start panicking and running. A Fire Bro spits fire at one house. They also arrive to the Nimbus Castle and interrupt the king and queen. "King Nimbus! Your village is over!" said Hammer Bro "Who are you?" King Nimbus asked "One of Bowser's troops." Hammer Bro answered and then a young nimbus who appears as the king's son hides behind his father. "Hand over the boy and the village lives." said the Hammer Bro "I will never give my son away!" said the king defending his son. Then Koopa Troopa gets in his shell and strikes the king and Hammer Bro grabs the boy and starts dragging him away. "Let me go! Daddy!" the young nimbus shouted crying for his father "Mallow!" King Nimbus shouted and then Mario appears by breaking through the ceiling and he lands and glares at the troops. "Let go of the kid!" Mario demanded and then Hammer Bro throws a hammer towards Mario. Mario dodges it and grabs it and throws the hammer back at him. Mallow returns to his father and watch Mario fight the two troops. Mario dodges more attacks and strikes Hammer Bro with his elbow. Then he gets struck by Koopa Troopa and lands on the ground and Koopa Troopa strikes the King again and grabs Mallow. "Stop them! They have my son!" the king shouted "Don't worry! I'll get him!" said Mario running and chasing after them to rescue Mallow. "Back up! We need back up!" Hammer Bro yelled as more hammer bros appear and start throwing their hammers at Mario's direction but Mario dodges quickly and grabs a hammer, throws it and strikes one of the enemies and continues running as the bros are still throwing. "I hate plumbers!" said the angry Hammer Bro and then another Hammer Bro stops Mario and starts fighting him. Mario throws punches at the enemy and the enemy dropkicks him and Mario kicks his chin with his knee. The enemie grabs his hammer and tries to strike Mario but Mario kicks it out of his hand and punches in the face. The troops spot a car and hop in to drive off. The Koopa Troopa hotwire the car and then drives off. Mario sees them driving away and grabs the enemy and slams him to the ground and strikes him with his fireball. Then he sees a Koopa Troopa on a motorcycle and shoots him and steals the bike and drives off to get the kid. More of the Troopas appear with guns and start shooting at Mario who is dodging the bullets while chasing after the main enemies. He starts getting closer to them. "SPEED UP! SPEED UP!" shouted Hammer Bro and then Koopa Troopa speeds up to get away from Mario. "LAKITU, WE NEED BACK UP!" the Koopa Troopa shouted on the communicator;
Then, a turtle with glasses flying in a cloud arrives to starts throwing spiky turtles called Spinies at Mario. Mario starts getting distracted with Lakitu trying to attack him. Lakitu drops a Spiny in the way while Mario's not looking and then he hit it with the motorcycle and start flying off the bike losing control. Mario lands on the ground while Lakitu is while flying towards him. Then he gets off the cloud and starts marching towards Mario. Mario watches the Airship start taking off. "Don't make me do this, plumber." said Lakitu. Mario gets up and looks at Lakitu while catching his breath. "Don't make do this, four-eyes!" said Mario quickly flying towards Lakitu and grabs him by the neck and pins him to the tree. "Where is that ship going?!" Mario asked in a roaring voice. "I don't know." Lakitu answered while choking. "TALK!" Mario shouted "I don't know anything!" said Lakitu "Where is the ship taking the kid?" Mario asked demanding answered. "They're just taking him to Bowser." said Lakitu "I didn't say 'who'! I said 'where'!" Mario shouted very angry. Mario sneezes his neck while the Lakitu is choking. "Bowser killed my brother! And he kidnapped the princess! Now they have a kid on board! So I'm gonna ask one more time! Where is the ship going?!" he asked for the last time. "Just go north!" Lakitu answered quickly "That's all I know! I swear!" Then, Mario stops and releases him and lets him cough and catch his breath. "That's all I need to know. Now, get out of here." said Mario and then Lakitu leaves and Mario prepares himself and start shooting off in the sky to catch up to the Airship.
