He couldn't turn his gaze away, not after he saw her in front of him.
His eyes grew wide, his heart melting into butterflies that flew around in his ribcage, and he started to see sparkles as he looked into the almost-heavenly face of this woman, this Octoling girl. She was so... irresistible.
The Turf War champion's mind was flooded with emotions, he didn't know what to think. But still, this was love at first sight.
"Oh my gosh..." KBG4 said, approaching the blue-haired Octoling, "Y-You are the most beautiful squid/octopus girl I've ever met here."
No sooner than he'd said that, he mentally slapped himself. That didn't sound right, he'd just met her and he was calling her gorgeous. The Inklings around him, including Mario, looked a little surprise, even Kitten-Chan was surprised. Neither of them knew what to think, but then...
"Th-Thank you, sir..." Kitten-Chan said, "You're really cute..."
KBG4 would never forget this day, this moment when he found love, and forget that day, he didn't.
A finger pressed the pause button, the video froze, before the scene would change. KBG4 looked at his phone, looking at the video that adapted the events. He put away his phone with a smile, sitting upon the edge of the building with Kitten-Chan by his side.
It had been a long while since his first visit to this city, since that amazing Turf War and that meeting.
After returning home from Inkopolis, he never thought he'd be seeing her again. But then, one day, she'd come to the castle while visiting the Mushroom Kingdom and they met again at last.
KBG4 got her number, they would talk occasionally. Then, one day, they finally confessed their feelings for one another that had been growing since the day they met. A few days later, after that first kiss, they had their first date. It was just a simple walk by the pier, a simple boat ride, no drama. And that date sealed the deal.
Today, he and Kitten-Chan were just having a day out. They'd partaken in a Turf War together, of course, and beaten the Blue Grooves, then they had coffee and ice cream.
Now, they were on Moray Tower, taking in the view together.
"You look very happy..."
He looked at her, she held his hand and smiled, smiling as though she could read his mind. Of course she'd seen him playing the video, playing the scene where they met, they'd come a long way since that almost awkward first meeting.
"I'm just happy to have you, Kitten-Chan..." KBG4 said, "No ocean will keep us apart, no border between countries ever will. I knew from the day we met that this was meant to happen.
"Who could have ever predicted the idea that a human man and an octopus woman would be a great couple? I guess we defy all the expectations of this world..."
"There's nothing wrong with there being an Octo-human couple..." Kitten-Chan leaned her head against KBG4's neck, "Nobody said there was, but you can never tell the future.
"It doesn't matter what we look like as long as we're able to co-exist in peace. As long as have each other, no matter what happens. I'm happy with you, you like me, that makes us happy."
"Kitten-Chan..." KBG4 held the Octoling girl's hand, "Thank you."
"And you are welcome, I'm here to stay and fight by your side when you need it."
"And I'll protect you from harm, no matter the odds against us."
Kitten-Chan leaned closer to KBG4, her arms folding around his shoulders as she looked into his blue eyes with such a cute and dreamy face that the YouTuber/human Turf War shooter couldn't resist.
He turned away from the edge and the horizon, turning to face her, he gently placed his soft gloved hands upon her sides and held the Octo-girl closer. They stood up, melting into each other's loving embrace and locking eyes.
Kitten-Chan kissed KBG4 on the nose, he smiled, then he leaned in to kiss her.
Their hearts merged into one, beating in unison, their eyes closed and boyfriend and girlfriend melted into a deep and passionate kiss with enough love to span an eternity.
They longed to have each other's happiness, to be with one another forever, no matter what...
Thunder rumbled in the distance and the two looked up, clouds rolled across the sky, dark-gray clouds. The sunlight vanished, the clouds obscuring the world's source of solar energy.
"Damn..." KBG4 groaned, "I forgot it was supposed to rain today."
Kitten-Chan hugged him sweetly, "Our date may be ruined, sweetie, but we have an umbrella and each other. We'll make the best of it as best we can."
They left Moray Tower as the clouds loomed, KBG4 walked through the streets of Inkopolis with Kitten-Chan holding his arm gently.
All around them, Inklings and Octolings who were minding their own buisness had started to go indoors, many of them closed up shop with curtains covering their currently on sale items.
Lightning flashed and KBG4 felt a drop fall on his sleeve, followed by another on his nose.
Kitten-Chan giggled as she too felt a drop on her nose. She looked at her human boyfriend with a smile and nodded, knowing they didn't have to worry about it too much.
With an understanding smile, knowing what to do, KBG4 reached into his pocket and pulled out a bar with a crank and some folded up fabric.
He twisted the crank and the umbrella was raised over KBG4 and his girlfriend's head, just as the rain fell. They heard the drops fall, caught by the umbrella, and saw the rain pouring around them.
"Does this make you think of something sweet and romantic?" KBG4 asked.
Kitten Chan leaned closer to him, "Yes, it does, my love."
She pulled him into a kiss and, with one hand on his umbrella, the YouTuber shared a kiss with Kitten-Chan, who pulled out a Splat-brella and raised it.
They made out for a brief period, shielded by their umbrellas with nobody batting an eye at the two figures covering themselves with multiple umbrellas as they stood in the street corner.
As the rain came down around them, the couple broke the kiss and nodded before setting off through the rainy streets, walking through the puddles and the downpour, holding hands in a gentle manner and arm-in-arm.
'Wow, never thought this would be happening.' KBG4 thought, 'Especially during a date. Thank goodness Mario's not here, I don't need that guy singing some annoying song about rain.'
He and Kitten-Chan walked down 72117 Inkto Avenue, passing by a pair of Salmonids as they played in a puddle without worry as one laughed and hummed the Calamari Inkantation. Despite the coldness of the rain, some creatures took advantage of it to have fun.
That was alright, most people preferred to stay dry and warm.
Both KBG4 and Kitten-Chan moved along, their umbrellas shielding them. A short time later, they'd their destination on 618 Calitide Street; Kitten-Chan's house.
Right on cue, the downpour of the rain seemed to intensify and lightning flashed in the cloudy sky.
The two of them walked over the threshold, heading up the front porch, and Kitten-Chan brought out her key. She inserted it into the lock and turned it, then turned the knob.
With a small squeak, the door opened and the couple stepped onto a warm white mat and cleaned the bottoms of their rain-drenched shoes on it before shutting the door behind them. KBG4 removed his shoes, wanting to let them dry, Kitten-Chan did the same. Her feet looked... cute.
'Darn it, man. Don't obsess over feet.' KBG4 yelled at himself mentally.
The couple set aside their umbrellas in the nearest umbrella rack, then they sat down on the sofa in the living room, relaxing together with KBG4 clasping Kitten-Chan's hand as she rubbed her cheek gently.
"You know..." Kitten-Chan said, "This isn't too bad. Rain pouring, us stuck indoors with nothing else to do. I hear its very romantic."
Listening to his girlfriend, KBG4 chuckled. "I've read plenty of stories about couples enjoying themselves indoors on very rainy days, Kitten-Chan, and, come to think of it, not many people do that very often. I guess this is one of those occasions..."
Kitten-Chan giggled.
"Oh, yes, KBG4..." She said in a sweet whisper, "This is one of those times."
She pulled KBG4 closer to her and lay back on the side of the sofa with KBG4 leaning atop her, the Octoling pulled him into a deep, intense kiss and KBG4 gently gripped her curved, womanly hips and kissed her back as well.
Thunder boomed outside as Kitten-Chan tickled his mustache and KBG4 fiddled with her tentacles, making out all the way.
They switched with Kitten-Chan laying atop KBG4 and the latter laying down on the side of the sofa in Kitten-Chan's place, the Octoling playfully licked the YouTuber's nose and he kissed her on the neck, making her giggle.
Gently, they dipped in, kissing more deeply than ever. Kitten-Chan pressed herself upon KBG4's stature and his hands folded around her shoulders and holding her closer in a gentle manner.
Feeling the love burn, they started to French-kiss, exchanging their tongues playfully and swirling them around in their passionate kissing before locking lips again.
The two of them kissed on, then they broke it apart and pulled away, snapping into reality to breathe. Kitten-Chan lay upon KBG4's shoulder, resting in his arms with a smile and she giggled when her gloved boyfriend ruffled her tentacled hair in a kind manner. More thunder rumbled outside, they heard the rain pouring down the roof, pouring through the gutters.
"You know how to make someone smile with so much cuteness." KBG4 said.
"And just seeing you makes my heart feel warm inside." Kitten-Chan said.
"I guess this day didn't turn out so bad, after all."
"No, we made it count and had fun."
KBG4 chuckled, "But, today's not over yet."
"Oh, love. We're just getting started."
They listened to the rain falling, listening to the occasional boom of thunder, birds chirping as they made shelter in the storm. A light flickered, then it was at ease again. And the room felt warm, so too did Kitten-Chan and KBG4.
They looked into one another's eyes and smiled. KBG4 kissed Kitten-Chan on the head, then the Octoling sat up and kissed him on the nose.
Kitten-Chan climbed off the couch and flexed her finger with a dreamy expression on her face, gesturing for KBG4 to follow her.
His heart beating, the Mario YouTuber stood and followed the Octoling towards the stairwell, watching her ascend. Women first. She was leading him to her room, wasn't she?
In a heartbeat, multiple ideas flooded his head as lightning exploded, causing the lights to flicker again.
KBG4 walked up the stairs, following after Kitten-Chan as the sound of a door shutting reached his ears. He climbed to the top and walked towards the nearest door, his hand turned the knob and the door opened, leading KBG4 inside Kitten-Chan's bedroom.
During the time they'd started dating, he didn't remember coming to this room. If that were so, this was the first time he was here. He remembered the night he first walked Kitten-Chan home, when he saw her house for the first time.
KBG4 had only led her to the door and they kissed goodnight on the porch.
He didn't get to come inside then, but this was his first time in her house now.
Kitten Chan's bed was adorned in lavender sheets with a light blue-colored pillow, he could see images of a couple cats visible upon the comforters as well as a pink heart in the middle of the pillow.
He approached the bed, sitting down upon it. It seemed to feel very comfortable, the whole room looked inviting.
"KBG4..." A sweet voice whispered.
He turned and his heart beat like a hammer, KBG4's girlfriend leaned against the wall with a hand on her hip, she'd changed for him. Kitten-Chan's blue shirt and her black shorts lay on the floor by her ankles with the Octoling wearing a black lace G-string that accentuated her very figure.
She approached KBG4, swaying her hips in a seductive, hypnotic and mesmerizing manner.
Kitten-Chan pulled back the covers and sat upon the bed, sitting on KBG4's lap with her arms around him as she locked her legs around his waist. KBG4 removed his gloves and grasped her hips, he could not take his eye off her.
Outside, the rain poured, rolling down the window as the trees swayed in the wind.
"Dang..." KBG4 remarked, "You are so full of ideas, my love."
"Oh, yes... I am..." Kitten-Chan whispered in a seductive tone.
She leaned in, kissing KBG4 on the lips once again and he melted into the deep kiss. Kitten-Chan reached behind herself, unclasping the back of her bra, and pressing herself, pressing her cleavage, against KBG4's torso. Then, she began fiddling with the straps of his overalls, kissing him even more.
Kitten-Chan and KBG4 made out, giving in to their emotions as KBG4's hands rolled down her hips and cupped the Octoling's butt cheeks, nearly surprising her. And that was when the love became hotter then ever, their hearts going all in...
Outside, as the rain continued to fall, a bird landed in the branches of a tree across the street, food in it's mouth. The bird's newly hatched young chirped happily, eager to feast on what their mama had brought home; an earthworm.
The baby birds accepted their feast, the mama dropped it and the birds ate.
Lightning flashed, birds chirped and dinner was eaten. The mama bird joined her young in the nest, wrapping her feathered wings around the little ones. A sharp wind blew, tearing at the trees and leaves flew from the branches onto the roof of a house... or a window.
Inside the bedroom, KBG4 lay in bed naked beneath the covers, with Kitten-Chan resting atop him in his arms, resting on his shoulders and also naked. The YouTuber's clothes on the floor beside the bed, his girlfriend's G-string laying there too.
KBG4's hands were folded around the shapely nude Octoling, resting upon her smooth, toned and bare womanly back.
They locked eyes, smiling dreamily at one another.
"I love rainy days." KBG4 quipped, "Especially with you, love."
Kitten-Chan looked up into his eyes with a giggle, she then kissed her boyfriend on the cheek.
He kissed her back. Then, they kissed and started making out once again as thunder boomed and the downpour continued, adding to the romantic mood as KBG4 and Kitten-Chan enjoyed their rainy day. Rainy love was more sweet and heartfelt than ever before...
