1977, Earth Time
Within minutes of Alderaan's destruction, a scientist couple was heading towards their laboratory/ship port. They were Professor Fabel and his wife Alanda. Fabel was a Force-sensitive being who could communicate with animals, especially his dog Arimbo, who had clairvoyant powers. He tried to warn the others about the planet's future destruction thanks to his pet dog, but they didn't listen. "We must hurry," he ordered his wife. "Alderaan is going to be vaporized any minute."
"Fabel," Alanda asked, "are you sure about this? Alda won't remember her home."
"I'm afraid it's the only way," Professor Fabel answered sadly. "I told King Bail I'm giving her as many pet-and-survival supplies as she can to hold her while she's on another planet. Figured she could learn a lot about animal care."
During their preparations, Arimbo's pup son Aurasi was curious about what was going on. Carefully, the little creature saw the baby girl being placed into the rocket. "Dearest Alda Raine," Alanda said while placing her diamond necklace around the baby's neck, "we live on in your memories."
Worried that baby Alda would be sad and alone, Aurasi scampered towards the ship. "Aurasi, stop!" Professor Fabel shouted.
However, Aurasi stowed away on the rocket.
Before Professor Fabel could abort the launch, his wife stopped and said, "Our daughter will need a friend."
Reluctantly, Professor Fabel agreed and said to the little pup, "Watch over our little girl."
Aurasi nodded, agreeing to keep the dying promise.
The rocket launched straight up into the sky just as the Death Star's laser hit the planet, and destroyed everything, including Alda's parents.
Baby Alda woke up, seeing that her mother and father were gone. The small baby cried because she missed her family. Feeling empathy, Aurasi comforted the baby.

On Earth, a honeymoon couple was arriving home from their honeymoon, discussing what type of shop should they open. However, their discussion was cut short when they spotted a spaceship. "That seems too blue to be a shooting star," the Caucasian man said. "And it's daylight. Shooting stars don't go out in the daytime."
"Lucas," said the Indian woman, "we should investigate."
They pulled over, and got a glimpse of the spacecraft and what was inside. "Deena, look," Lucas said. "It's a baby."
"And a puppy?" Deena asked. "They must be alone." That's when she got an idea. "We should open a pet store," she suggested. "That way we can get homeless pets off the streets."
"And it reminds me of how I first met you," Lucas recalled. "I was a homeless man looking for a way to get a job, and you were a volunteer serving meals. You also gave some of the leftovers to stray animals from a distance, fearing that you might get an illness."
"Brings back the memories," Deena replied.
While investigating the spacecraft, Aurasi discovered a small tag with his name on it. "Papa?"
"Hello, Aurasi," said the holographic Arimba. "Although my body may be gone, my messages will always be with you. Young pup, you have a lot to learn if you want to become the best version of yourself. For starters, you must be loyal to your person. Every dog looks up to them. Make sure they are happy, no matter what."
As the message ended, Aurasi got a glimpse of the baby crawling towards Lucas in joy. Aurasi smiled.
