Dec. 6 - Morning Rush

Seto hustled down the stairs while simultaneously trying to juggle his briefcase, secure his tie, belt his pants, and pull on his socks. Being late was unacceptable, as it would set a bad example for everyone else in the company. Waking on time had never been an issue; he'd been doing it since he was a teen. Actually getting out of bed in a timely manner had become more difficult since he'd gotten together with Yami, but that was a trade off he'd take no matter what. Yami usually slept in but when on those off days when he woke up early, his talented hands and equally talented tongue made being almost-late well worth it.

Seto's feet hit the bottom step and he grinned. Both socks were on, his belt with YAMI laser cut into the buckle was secured, and he had managed to not break his neck on the stairs in the process. Good enough. He figured he could finish up the tie in the car at red lights, so he considered himself ready to go.

He was minorly inconvenienced by the fact that he didn't have time to pour a cup of coffee; grabbing one at the office would have to suffice. He tried to remember if he'd ordered more beans, or if Yami had done so - he'd gotten spoiled by Yami and his own discerning taste in coffee. If worse came to worse, well, he'd just have to send someone out to a pre-approved shop to go get coffee for him.

With long strides, he trotted towards the garage, stopping by the coat closet to grab a trench coat to sling over his suit before snagging some car keys off a hook. He wasn't even sure what car he was taking until the lights on the Dodge Viper flashed as the alarm system disarmed, as he was putting on his shoes.

He tossed his briefcase into the car then got in, starting up the engine as the garage door slid open. He was just about to throw the car into reverse when a familiar voice called out, Wait! in his head and the door to the house flew open.

Yami appeared in the doorway, holding a bag of something in his hand, dressed in nothing but boxers and a hastily donned robe that was sliding off one shoulder, and Seto found himself jumping out of the car and running to the door without question.

"Your coffee. I know you need it," Yami said, handing him the bag while delivering a quick kiss at the same time. "Have a good day!"

Seto blinked. Well that answered his question about coffee... "Thanks," he mumbled, feeling all warmed up inside as if he'd just taken a welcoming sip of a freshly brewed cup of caffeinated goodness.

"Well, get going!" Yami said, making shooing motions at his lover.

"Yes," Seto automatically replied, his feet already turning and marching back to the car as ordered. He got back in, and smirked as the crimson-eyed man waved at him from the doorway as he shifted the car into reverse. He was going to have to drive just a bit faster to make up for lost time, but he was already feeling upbeat about how his day was going.
