Rocket turned, facing the crashed Benatar. "No!" He said already knowing it's no longer fixable. "Well how are we going to get home now?" Quill asked, since they had no ship or knowledge of what part of the universe they were even in. "The best way we have to get home is to find that monster and force him to open the portal." Mantis said, sensing the nervous state everyone was in.

"That tunnel must lead back to the surface so maybe it has a home with ships." Rocket said hoping they wouldn't need to force a humongous space monster to open a portal. "I doubt it." Quill said. "If they had ships they would be useless without an engine fast enough to travel half the universe in half a day!" Quill added not seeing any hope. "Maybe they use the same portals the monster does." Drax though. "How would they get the technology to convert space monster portals into engines?" Rocket said not thinking it was possible.

"This could be a hidden society, we don't know what tech they do and don't have." Mantis stated to the group. "We need to gather any information we can about this place." Quill said, hoping to tactically and carefully get back home. "Then let's follow that tunnel and find a place to do some recon." Rocket said, excited to finally get some proper action.

The team slowly and carefully ventured the tunnel, finding many glowing ores. The team followed the tunnel up, finally seeing a glimmer of light. "Rocket your the smallest, go up there and see what you can find." Quill whispered crouching next to Rocket, holding tightly onto his elemental gun. Rocket nodded, then went up. There was a whole colony far in the distance, the sand was red, and there was a glass dome over the cave they were in, with what looked to be a city not far ahead.

"Guys I think we're on that planet Mars, by Quill's home planet." Rocket speculated. "There's a whole city over there." Rocket pointed and said to the team. "Really do they look friendly?" Quill asked curiously confused on how Mars made a whole city without earth knowing. Rocket pulled out a set of binoculars. "They look human!" Rocket said surprised. "Wow." The group simultaneously said. "If they're human then their probably nice." Drax said, happy to see friends rather than enemies.

"Let's go." Quill said climbing out of the tunnel with the rest of the team. The group trekked the sandy grounds, it took them a whole fifteen minutes to reach the city. "Stop! Identify yourselves!" A guard dressed in black outside the city said. "I'm Quill, you might know me as Star-Lord, part of the Guardians of the Galaxy." Quill tried explaining to the guard. "I've never heard of any Guardians of the Galaxy!" The guard replied holding a long baton with a round taser on the end.

"Relax, we're not here to hurt you!" Rocket said, raising his gun at the guards leg just in case. "All of you drop your weapons!" The guard said whilst calling for help. "Quill, we need to move!" Drax said, taking out his knives. "No, They'll think we're here to attack them!" Quill said, raising his hands and dropping his elemental blaster as backup arrived. "Drop your weapons and put your hands where we can see 'em!" A small tactical spaceship said, hovering above the team. While a group of soldiers surrounded them on the ground.

The guards aimed their guns at the team, urging them to put them down. "I don't like where this is going." Rocket said, placing his weapon on the ground, and putting his hands up. The rest of the team did the same, the guards then cuffed each of them and took them to a police department in the heart of the city. "Dammit Quill, I told you we should've moved!" Drax said laying on the hard, metal bed in their shared cell.

"I really thought they would know us." Quill said, confused as to how nobody knew them there. "We need a new plan." Rocket said, checking out the cell. "We don't even have our weapons." Mantis said, sitting on the floor, with her back against the cell wall. "Wrong." Rocket said, pulling out a small pistol blaster, from his pocket, hidden by his shirt. "Where the hell did you get that?" Quill said checking for any guards nearby that may have seen.

"I snatched it from a guard, whatever tech they have here makes weapons really small and big whenever needed." Rocket said examining the weapon. "Great, at least one of us has protection." Drax said, seeing hope in the distance. "Alright what's the plan?" Quill said hoping the Rocket already made a plan. "We wait for the guards to come past then we shoot them, grab the keycard to the cell and find a ship." Rocket simply explained. "But what if they have no ships nearby?" Quill asked not seeing any earlier. "Then we cAll for a favor!" Rocket said, pulling a sat phone from his other back pocket. "Where did you get that?" Mantis said looking puzzled.

"I kept it." Rocket said, explaining how he brought it from before the ship crashed. "Ok, let's get this plan in action!" Quill said looking excited to have a chance to get home. They waited 45 minutes for the next duo of guards to arrive. Rocket enlarged the blaster, shot the guards, he then unlocked the door and they snuck out. "This way!" Rocket said, running down a long, narrow hallway. The group got to the door leading out of the cells, and opened it.

Rocket poked his head out into the hallway, and looked to make sure the coast was clear. "Come on!" Rocket said leading the team out into the hall. "Where are we going?" Quill asked, trying to form a new plan. "We need to find a vehicle, even if it's just to keep us undetected for a while." Rocket said. "We need to focus on getting back home." Quill replied worriedly.
