"Years wasted waiting for the humans to use me as a solution for the problems plaguing their world. How much longer will it be before they find themselves in the same danger as Eros?"

"Kiseki's world had its own problems. The Earth is unique, just like every other planet in the universe."

"I just worry, Porunga. Our brothers and my counterpart hold so much power, and yet we are forced to serve whomever summons us. All it takes is one tyrant to summon us, and they could rule a world, a galaxy, the entire universe. I fear what mortals can do with their selfish wishes."

"Calm yourself, brother. You and I both have seen mortals use our power to resurrect beings whose death was undeserved, restore planets that were unjustly destroyed, and make sure tyrants will never rise. Give them time, and they shall prove to you why they deserve their wishes."

"Perhaps you are right. I must go now, I am being summoned. I shall see you again once it is finished."

With that, Shenron disappeared in a flash of golden light. Porunga stared ahead, unflinching. Eternity could be rather boring, but having the other dragons to keep him company made it bearable. While they waited for the mortals in the upper realms to gather the orbs, they waited below, conversing amongst themselves. Dozens of dragons, a millennia of conversations.

So hi, this is my first author's note. I've been sitting on ideas for this series for a LONG time, probably since about 2015 or 2016. Some ideas weren't great, but I thought a lot of them would be cool to write about. But I never wanted to write a chronological story. That's where The4thSnake comes into play with his Mortal Kombat Khronicles series. He has been telling a non-linear story about Mortal Kombat, filling in the gaps and even coming up with brand new characters and stories that honestly stand toe-to-toe with the 3D era. So, sorry for the shorter chapter here. The truth is that I'm actually writing multiple at once, I actually have two in the works right now. I won't give away what they are, but one is a slice of life kinda thing, and the other deals with one of my favorite characters in the series. I hope y'all will enjoy it when it's done.
