Okay, so this scene was alternate scene to Rocket meeting Amadeus' pet coyote, Kirby. This is similar to when he first met Lucky the Pizza Dog, but more Rocket-like.

***Amadeus Cho's Apartment***
"Uh, please! Come in, come in!" Amadeus Cho said.
But as soon as Rocket made it in, he was backed against the wall by a growling canine. And not just any canine, a coyote!
"Oh come on, ANOTHER DOG?!" The poor "raccoon" couldn't get a break. First Kate's dog back in Missouri, and now this one here. And this one looked like he would pounce for sure. Fortunately, Rocket was prepared this time.
Swiftly, he reached and pulled up a small blaster of his. He stared down the barrel at the coyote, his own teeth gritted and growling himself now. "ALRIGHT! Come on, ya mangy mutt! I can make at least three good shots before you kill me, so MAKE A MOVE!"
And the coyote was about to. That is, until...
"Kirby! Down boy!" Amadeus called from within the apartment.
Hearing his master, the coyote, Kirby, seemed to change from attack mode to cute mote instantly before walking back inside.
"Yeah, that's right! Get moving, pooch!" Rocket growled.
All the while Rocket kept his blaster trained on the canine, not giving him a chance to jump him.
